Awesome close ups! They are beautiful. Love their blue colouring. I have visited the Oregon coast before (Lincoln Beach). I have relatives in Portland. One day I will return and this time I will bring my camera.
Wonderfully stellar Stellar, Cindy. (Forgive the pun please!) You seem to make critter friends wherever you travel, no matter what state or even country. How lovely that is. Best, Babsje
Handsome, indeed, Cindy, he is a looker! I love Stellar Jays! They used to hang out in our Tuolumne Meadows campground waiting for anything to drop to the ground. Quite large and very social!
He’s cute! These guys are the official bird of British Columbia. I think they’re related to crows. I remember hearing a bunch of them creating a tremendous racket near a road I was walking along. Sounded like a family fight!
Pretty little thing 😄
Yes. So sweet too დ
Beautiful.
Grazie Timothy დ
Bad hair day. I look like that sometimes. What a cutie.
Yep. I do too, but he actually looks cuter! 😉
They are such beautiful birds. I love the iridescence of their feathers….especially mature ones…in the sun!

There are days that I’d like to be a bird too…
Ditto. We could fly away! დ
This reminds me of the old song Up Up and Away in my Beautiful Balloon!
I remember that song!
Yes, it’s The Fifth Demension! Wonderful memories.
How gorgeous, Cindy! What a beauty, and shot beautifully!
How many different Holler birds have you shot now?
Oh boy, I don’t know. There are around 600 species of birds where I live, but I haven’t seen many of them. Thank you for your lovely thoughts Resa დ

Absolutely gorgeous!!
Much appreciated! Thank you very much დ
You are very welcome! 🙂
What part of the coast? We live at the north end in Gearhart. Many Stellars live around us.
Gearhart is gorgeous. We were far south of you, and are heading southeasterly now დ
VERY handsome!
He’s growing into quite a looker! 😉
Very pretty.

Stellar photos! 🙂 Is the fifth one of a female? Thanks for sharing these; so beautiful.
Smiling…… He could be a she. I don’t know how to sex Stellars. Adult males are bigger than females, but besides this, they look the same to me დ

Grazie mille Eliza დ
Beauties!
Yes indeed! დ
Great pics! I wish that jay lived in my neck of the woods–how beautiful!
I would love him at The Holler too, but the scrub jays might feel jealous! 😉
What a little beauty. I’m rather taken with the slightly punk semi-Mohican hairstyle.
Huge Hugs
Yes, he is avant garde! დ
😎 cool shots 🙂 I miss the Stellar & Scrub Jays mooching peanuts from me in Park City, Utah in the 80’s
I would miss that too! I know they love peanuts დ
What a cute little baby
He was very sweet დ
Handsome, indeed, Cindy, he is a looker! I love Stellar Jays! They used to hang out in our Tuolumne Meadows campground waiting for anything to drop to the ground. Quite large and very social!

I had no idea they were the official bird of British Columbia! They do tend to get rather scoldy!! 😉
No creature is as noisy as us humans. When I hear birds chirping or screeching I generally go and take a look to see what they’re up to.
True, on both points. And when I hear humans screeching, I run the other way!
Oh, how adorable.
Yes, he was a heartbreaker! დ
💙
Awww… so pretty!!! Your posts always have some treat to our eyes. 😃😃 Thanks for sharing ❤️
