  1. What an expression you have caught in the first photo. What characters these birds are and you capture that so wonderfully. Bit different to our more stripy beaked puffins.

      1. Yes, off the North East and Wales but I saw them very close up when I visited the Skelligs. Some years ago when it was more a mystical and birding experience. ( Now because a Star Wars location …)

Very much off-topic, not related to being puffed.

One of my dad’s friends thinks he may know you from your previous life. Had an appt with you. I know my dad has a “Cindy Barton” business card. I thought I had set it aside, but can’t find it now.

        Are you ready for September?

    1. Hi Brian. Great to hear from you. We all got covid but are now home. (The joy of travel in 2026!) Happy you like the puffers! They are total charmers. Hope all is well with you ღ

      1. All well, here, thank you Cindy.
COVID? Yes, my MD daughter says there’s a rebound right now. Matter of fact our grandson, 10, got it 2 weeks ago. Probably brought it home from school.
        Glad you’re home…

    Love the puffins. Great shots.

By the way, I am here clicking from Bruce’s Weave a Web.

        1. Well. Yes. You notice stuff, don’t you Eunice. (That is not a question). I love the life that survives in the extremes of desert heat. But you are entirely right, I have headed as far south and north as I could go, to see the amazing life that lives there too. You know your previous neighbor Robert Frost said,”Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice. From what I’ve tasted of desire I hold with those who favor fire.” I love him. But he didn’t live in fireland SoCal. I hope you are safe and well Eunice.

          1. Yes Cindy he is so beloved by many of us. I had the traveling bug and satisfied it but your profession held you into a reg. job so retirement is the time you jet off and see what you desire. 🙂 You will never see me on a commercial jet or train even a cruise boat just not for me 🙂 I love seeing your shots from places I have been or will never go to. xo

  3. The head of this bird is so striking. Dramatic, expressive, and almost full of personality! Wonderful photographs that really capture its character. 🙏🏻💛

  4. What joy birds bring!! These are such a hoot and the Horned one looks to be full of sarcastic personality!

Thank you for bringing the light to us all! It is very much appreciated!

  5. Awesome as always! You capture beautiful moments of God’s creatures! We saw puffins while living in Scotland back in the ’90s, so cute!
