Fun Fact – my first book report in third grade was titled “Flowers, Bees, Frogs, and Trees.” Don’t remember the report… just the A grade I got! 😀 😀 😀
Enjoy your weekend, Cindy! 🙂
So smiling. If you were my third grade student, you would deserve an A+ just for the title alone. დ
It is really a serious question, how we limit the opportunities for bees to survive and thus our own dinner table.
Yes. It is life threateningly serious.
Really beautiful photos. Interesting were the bees have chosen to swarm and be Ferrel.
Thank you Timothy. They are different now that African bees have joined the mix. I have been in the midst of a swarm here at The Holler. I was thrilled to no end. I heard this noise like a jet airplane approaching, stopped and saw the swarm. I didn’t move, which bees seem to appreciate, and they divided around me, like I was an obstacle they could fly around. It was like being in the middle of nature itself. დ
That is very cool beeing with the bees.
It was wonderful.
Well said Cindy! We should all be taking care of bee’s! No pesticides to make our lawns look pretty, planting flowers and just being mindful of them. Of course eating honey never hurts….Winnie told me that!
Only very wise people listen to Winnie. He was one smart bear დ
and guess what?………….today is Bee day in British Columbia! https://bchoneyproducers.ca/info-for-beekeepers/day-of-the-honey-bee/#:~:text=VICTORIA%20%E2%80%93%20May%2029%2C%20will%20be,a%2Dyear%20agricultural%20impact%20today.
Also, after reading your post I went and had a slice of toast with honey!!
That is synchronicity!!! Awesome დ
Winnie the Pooh is the literary character I would most like to meet and have lunch with!
So, where and when shall we meet, I’ll text Winnie first to make sure he can take time away from Eeyore დ
Thank you! 😀
A beautiful life in a cooperative world!
We need a cooperative world. What happened to that! დ
So beautiful 💯
Thank you very much დ
Welcome dear 🌷
Incredible and incredibly beautiful. I have seen many palm trees, but I have never seen one with bees.
They are Palm Bees! 😉 Thank you Michele დ

What a beautiful series.
You captured details of spring perfectly.
Honored. Thank you very much დ
Such pretty flowers and pretty bees, too. They are so precious. 🐝
They are indeed. It is stunning to watch them swarm დ
“The earth laughs in flowers and lives because of bees”, wonderful words and fotos. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks so much Marie. Emerson wrote the first half of course! დ
Great photos, and a reminder about how dependent we are on those busy bees.
We can’t survive without them დ
We are a bit short of bees at the moment. Your usual excellent images
Thank you Derrick. Lots of people are telling me this. How sad & scary. დ
What a beautiful and appealing food table this must be for our bees and other pollinators. 🙂
Smiling…… They do tend to partake most enthusiastically დ
here the busy bees are flying again as well. Thanks for sharing your fine pictures.
Do you know the novel of Maja Lunde “The History of Bees”? A book that teaches us how important the bees are.
All the best
The Fab Four of Cley
🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂
Thank you for your thoughtful words. I know of the book which sounds interesting. We cannot live without bees, but they can live without us. There is something significant about this. Take good care, all four of you დ
Thank you my friend & hope you are well დ
All this beauty given to us to protect and cherish დ
Reblogged this on Ed;s Site..
Thank you for supporting nature and our planet my friend & cheers to you დ
Just beautiful! Here’s to the bees.
God Bless & Keep the bees!! დ
Gorgeous flower pictures. The bees look so real and that makes me a bit uncomfortable 🙂
Yes. Some are Africanized here now, so I am more cautious around them then I was in the past დ
Lunga vita alle api 😉
Sì!! Dio benedica le api. დ
OMG! Those pictures of all the bees on a single flower are amazing.
Honored you think so & thanks much დ
Unfortunately, the bees have become more and more rare in our neck of the woods. 🙁
That is both sad and scary დ
This was just the post I needed for my Sunday! We don’t see as many honey bees in our area, but luckily, there still seem to be plenty of native pollinators. Have a lovely Memorial Day weekend, Cindy! 💕🌻
So happy the flowers brightened your day Teresa & enjoy your weekend my friend დ
Poignant message and beautiful photos.
Much appreciated. Thank you! დ
Beautiful blooms, Cindy. The bees? Eh, not as pretty but definitely a necessity!
Cheers to you Debbie & happy you enjoyed დ
God bless those Bees Cindy, they also make honey.
Yes they do and like Winnie, I like my honey! დ
The flowers are breathtaking!
Awwww, thanks so much & cheers to you! დ
Beautiful bees and beautiful flowers
Merci beaucoup დ
Je vous en prie
Grazie mille Bette დ
Gorgeous gallery, Cindy.
Thank you very much Sandy დ
Great images! Did those bees make a hive in that giant bird of paradise (or whatever the plant is)?
They were in transit. Not a hive. There are so many bees here at The Holler. But they are always coming from somewhere else. They is lots of natural empty space to hide their hives from us. დ
What fabulous photos!
Ahh, thank you დ
So true , Cindy!
I just love all of these flowers and bees. OMG, how wonderful to see so many bees in one place!
We have an overload of bees here at The Holler. These photos are just the tip of iceberg. The twin grandbabies know the words for three types of insects they see here, Bumblebees, Beetles and Butterflies. დ
How wonderful! დ დ
Yes. I am very glad they are here.
Wow… Love these beautiful blooms and bees!
I am super impressed with your photography Amy, so I very much appreciate your words დ
Oh, those beautiful ranunculus fields that I was too early to see on my last visit, sigh…
Are there flowers on that palm or are they doing something else?
Well, the good thing is, there are other years, still to come. And you might return. The bees were attracted to the grape jelly that spilled as the orioles ate. Interestingly to me. There was another swarm, days earlier, but I had the wrong camera. We have so many bees here. They are not as docile as they used to be. But I get along with well them დ
My dear friend, you always bring beauty and joy to our community. Thank you so much!
You are one of the first people I meet here in this community. Meeting you made me sure I wanted to belong. Stay safe and well Rebecca დ
We have had many adventures together and met many wonderful kindred spirits!
We have and we are blessed for it.
Fabulous flower close-ups, Cindy, and the bee shots are amazing. What a great documentation of them in a swarm. I see above they are Palm Bees. Cool!
Yes. Smiling. Palm Bees. Thank you very much Jane დ
I love those floral carpets, Cindy.
I do too. They stun me. Thank you Peter დ

Ranunculus are one of my most favorite flowers. I am glad you love it too Liz & thank you დ

Fantastic to see this and the many bees. The variety of the flowers in colour are amazing. Beauty can’t get better than that!
Thanks much my friend and hope you are doing well დ
What fantastic photographs, How can anybody not see the beauty and realise how beneficial these flowers are both to our bees and our own well being and mental health.
Thank you very much Erick. I couldn’t possibly agree with you more. Being immersed in the beauty of nature, which we all are a part, is necessary for our physical, mental and spiritual health. Thank you for knowing this დ

Very nice pics. At least there still are bees. I “taught” bees to my 5-year old grandson the other day. Small flowers in the garden. He was fascinated.
How fun! Grandsons are so awesome. We just spent the day at the beach with the two year old twins. Happy days! დ
Happy days indeed. We just bought a house an hour away with a swimming pool with the grandkids in mind.
You are a very cool grandad! დ
