to a garden of dreams,
where worries vanish,
in a tulip trance,
while daffodils dance.
There are over seven million tulips,
in the Keukenhof gardens in The Netherlands.
A perfect place to dream your day away.
I am home for the winter at The Holler, but send you springtime cheers from Keukenhof~

Oh, sooooooo beautiful!!!!
Thank you very much Trini დ
Wonderful colors…that would make my camera really happy. Ok, me
Well, if you are like me, you are happy, when your camera is happy! 😉
Wow! What a stunning display of tulips (and other flowers).
Now, that’s enough to put a smile on any garden-lovers face 🙂
Good! We need to send each other smiles დ
What a splendid display of color!! How did you know that today was the grayest day of the week here in the Granite State?
If it is freezing at The Holler, it is a sure bet that New Hampshire will be REALLY COLD! My parents lived in Dover დ
Wonderful photos capturing the gardens and displays! I was there with my mum in April 2019… not sure when will have our next jaunt together. A lovely share … and escape 💕
So pleased you were there Val and hope we all will be mobile again soon დ
What a refreshing sight right now. I love tulips and have visited our tulip farm here when they open it to the public in April. I would love to go to the Netherlands to see them. It’s on my bucket list. 😉 Thanks for the lift.
You are most welcome Marlene. Stay safe and well my friend დ დ
What a wonderful reminder of spring! So beautiful. 🙂
So beautiful! Thank you for giving us a visual feast of tulips and garden!
Thank you for joining me on this virtual tour my friend დ
Oh my! Awesome. Loved our trip to Holland, but it wasn’t in time for the Tulips. Thanks for my virtual visit at tulip time.
So happy you came along with me Eileen & thank you my friend დ
These are just gorgeous Cindy! Thank you for sharing them. I almost feel like I was there.🤗
You make me happy I posted. Thank you & stay safe my friend დ
Cindy, what a resplendent reminder of the promises of next spring. Those colors – amazing.
I needed this one.
Stay safe, my friend.
We all need some brightness now don’t we my friend. So happy you enjoyed & stay safe and well Sheila დ
The world is blessed with flowers. They give their all and ask for very in return. Happy World Kindness Day, Cindy!!! Hugs!
I loved your post on kindness Rebecca. The topic clearly suits you so well my friend დ
Hugs and more hugs!
Such an amazing garden. It was heartbreaking when they closed it this year due to you-know-what. All that work and no admirers! 😉 Actually, they did let in press and photographers, many used drones which you can see on YouTube, so amazing to see it with no crowds.
It would be incredible with no crowds wouldn’t it. I wonder if the gardeners and near by neighbors enjoyed having it to themselves დ
Grazie mille დ
Your photographs are beautiful, so I imagine the gardens must look even more stunning when you visit them.
Thank you Anne, and you are right. These gardens are impossible to capture დ
Absolutely gorgeous, Cindy. I was there in the off-season and it was nothing like this, very dull.
This means you will need to visit again! დ
I love tulips. These are spectacular!
I am so glad you do & thank you! დ
My pleasure, Cindy.
One year I went to the tulip festival at La Conner in Bellingham, and that was the first time I found out that tulips (if you get enough of them together) have a beautiful delicate scent. All this time I had thought they had no scent. Your photos are beautiful. I can almost smell the fragrance of those tulips.
Yes! I think around 10 or so percent of tulips have a stronger scent, but when you put millions together, the scent is magical დ
I was surprised that they had any scent at all and it was so delicate. Really quite pleasing.
Gorgeous and unchanging…I was there as a teenager with my mother. We had a wonderful time in that beautiful country. I’ll never forget it. Thank you for sweet memories 😘
I am so glad you have those memories. The Netherlands are so lovely დ
Yeeeeep, so gorgeous!
If it’s one thing we Dutch are good at…it’s making pretty flowers!
And djs 👌🤪
And canal houses, canal boats, windmills, porcelain, incredible Dutch Master painters, beautiful architecture, museums, doll houses, limiting green house emissions with bicycles …… I could keep going on all day about what you Dutch are amazing at. And by no means can I forget the chocolate!! I would like some right now in fact! I love The Netherlands which is why I keep coming back დ
We need right now this injection of beauty and energy to our lives! I am counting down the days until we finish 2020. Thanks so much, Cindy! You and yours stay safe! Have a great weekend! 🙂
Yes. 2020 will be a good year to leave behind us. You stay safe too my friend დ
Thanks so much, Cindy! 🙂
OMG! That’s so beautiful Tulips. Loved all of them.
So happy you do & thank you! დ
……and breathe…… Thank you Cindy for this glorious moment of calm and wonder. 💛❤️
Awww, you are so welcome Liz. Stay safe my friend დ
You too 😘
Wow !!! what a beauty …
I am sure, no digital device could capture and reproduce the real colours of these flowers…
Thank you so much for sharing 🙂
Thank you more for your kind appreciation Sreejith დ
Gorgeous! I can’t decide what colour I like the best… maybe the orange.
Thank you Emma. The orange provides such a pop of contrast. I like it next to purple დ
Thank you so much Cindy !!
I love Louis Armstrong and that song! The photos are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing Corinne დ

Thank you my friend & cheers! დ
These are gorgeous flowers. 🙂
Aren’t they gorgeous. Tulips won’t grow at The Holler, so I have to travel to see them დ

Your country is so beautiful! დ
Grazie Gary დ
Oh, wow! Really beautiful flowers 🌺 🌻 🌷 Thank you for sharing this beauty with us ✨ ✨ ✨
Thank you more for your kind appreciation დ
When I saw the very first picture, I was wondering if that was in the Netherlands. And then, a little further down, you mentioned the famous “Keukenhof”. Even if I grew up not far from the Netherlands I’ve never been there, tough.
Gorgeous pictures, Cindy.
Have a great weekend,
Thank you. You grew up in such a beautiful part of the world. I hope you do visit someday დ
What a stunning gift, Cindy — thank you! Winter hasn’t even arrived here yet, but already I’m longing for spring. I know each season offers its own beauty, but how I love the newness and freshness of spring! Those tulips are magnificent!
Awww, thank you Debbie! This year especially, spring has a very hopeful connotation დ
Thank you for the lovely mini-vacation, so beautiful! Where are you taking us next? 😊
Are you up for Africa?
What a beautiful escape, Cindy!
Thanks for joining me Eugenia დ
My pleasure, Cindy!
After looking at your post up close I realized I have been to this beautiful garden. Holland is definitely “tulip country”
So happy you have visited the magical Keukenhof დ
The Dutch owned the company my husband worked for (he was the President) so we spent a lot of time there…
Thanks, you are a flower to me
Awww, so appreciated! Thank you დ
What a beautiful setting! These photos made my heart happy, especially the river image. I want to dive in and float along with the river in peaceful bliss surrounded by bright tulips! Thank you Cindy. ❤
Ahhhh, it would be lovely! Thank you Brad დ
Yes indeed. Come fly away with me!
What a colourful heart-warming dream for a dreary November day, Cindy!
Thank you Peter. I thought we could all use a little spring in our November დ
What a beautiful sight for sore eyes!! Thank you for sharing this!!

I love the Keulenhof garden, went there one spring when the tulips were in bloom – took my breath away! As always, hypnotically stunning photos!
So glad you have been & thank you so much for such a thoughtful comment დ
I love those spring flowers! How beautiful to see them at this time of year!
Happy you enjoyed Lavinia. We could use a little spring right now! დ
Cindy what a wonderful garden! I can’t wait for our tulips to come up and it’s only November. Let’s hope it’s a short winter.
You have my vote for a short winter Leslie. Stay safe my friend დ
You as well Cindy, thank you.
Great gardens feed the soul like nothing else. Welcome sights as winter approaches! Thank you!
Thanks much! Hope you and your family stay safe and well this winter Peter დ
Is it already freezing in The Holler? We have only had one light frost here on the Island! Covid is surging again, so we are reverting toMarch with masks, gloves, and no visitors! Stay well in CA, all of you!
So pretty. Definitely not what it looks like outside my window! Lol.
Nor mine, unfortunately! დ
Your lovely posts reminds me that better days are in our future spring time.
Better days are coming, spring is around the corner დ დ
“A perfect place to dream your day away.” So true, Cindy. It’s a real life fantasy world 🙂
We need tulip fantasies these days! დ
Wow!.. We all need a garden of dreams, nowadays more than ever…
Stay safe, dear Cindy!
We can fly there in our minds and stay as long as we like. Stay safe and well my friend დ
Beautiful, Cindy. I was happy to escape alt-reality. 🙂 Thanks. Curt
Yes. We need to escape these days and our minds can help us do so beautifully! Cheers to you Curt დ
Except in the middle of the night. 🙂 Then it’s time too get up and read some escapist literature!
Funny….that happened to both my husband and I last night. Strange times indeed.
I’ve had to program in afternoon naps.
Good plan დ
So beautiful! I see some of those almost black purple ones in one photo! The Dutch once spent more money for these than for their houses during tulip mania in 1600s. I’m glad just to enjoy their beauty during these dark times. Thank you!
Yes, tulips were like gold and were traded with the same intensity. Thank you Kathy for your kind thoughts. They are much appreciated დ დ
A beautiful escape indeed. It is certainly a most pleasant and much needed reminder that there are places on this earth unspoiled, preserved and nurtured in such a way that it takes us to places where our heart and mind find rest from all that is going on around us.. Your images capture and reflect a voice all their own even without their captions. Take care and stay well, Cindy.
Awww Joyce. Thank you for your kindness. Love to you my friend დ დ

Awww, love that word! Especially four times! Thank you & cheers Mariel დ
The remnants of Hurricane Eta blow by last weekend, dropping 4 trees across our private road. Now all the leaves are down. It is still warm (60F’s) these days, but looking like winter. All those tulips will keep me anticipating Spring color! Happy Thanksgiving. – Oscar
Hope you had a peaceful holiday Oscar. The hurricane sounded brutal. So sorry about the trees! It is dipping into the mid-30’s here at night, so these roses are enjoying their last hurrah! დ
Grazie mille Christine დ
