Chicks on chairs.

Goats in gardens.

Cows in clover.

Terns in trees.

And,

in the air.

Mynas at your feet,

and at your door.

Girl on the sea,

son down deep.
The Cooks are for critters like you and me.
Cheers to you from the critterful Cooks~

Lovely photos, Cindy!
So pleased you enjoyed them & happy Friday Susan!
Such great photos – it seems you had
… a really great holiday. 😀
Thank you for your kindness Lynette! We went to place of peace and tranquility. There aren’t many left in our world. Peace to you my friend <3
Such a beautiful variety of photographs.
Awww, you are very kind. Cheers to you!
Great pics by the way
Very happy you enjoyed & thanks for letting me know~
It does look so peaceful Cindy. How long did you stay?
We stayed 3 weeks which wasn’t long enough! Cheers to you Pauline and happy weekend~
Lots of fun in these photos. Did you go diving in the deep with your son?
I did. We are both water rats, but I am the one who gets the coral cuts every time, even though I warn him to be careful, every time!
I love your gorgeous photographs, Cindy.
Thank you. Happy weekend!
I love your kind <3 more Isabel! Happy Saturday my friend~
The Mynas are gorgeous!
I love them too. When I was a kid, our local pet store had a pet myna who talked. I visited him constantly~

The last two “critters” are a nice touch.
Glad you caught that ‘cuz people are critters too!
Lovely to see one of your galleries when I’m just catching up on reading after knee surgery. Probably won’t get to those I’ve missed.
Sending hopes for a fast recovery <3
Thanks, Cindy
Is it just me or does that goat look very wise? Great photos, Cindy!
He does indeed. He looks like he can see into my mind and is not all that impressed!
Wow!
<3
Oh man, I haven’t been paddle boarding in so long!
I hear you. I want to be kayaking as I type this….
I haven’t been kayaking in a few years too, but paddle boarding was so much more fun.
Have a good weekend! 😄

It does. The doors hit me going out and coming in!!! 😉
The Cooks look gorgeous, thank you ❤️ for sharing your lovely photos 😊
Thank you more for such a kind and thoughtful comment~
So beautiful, Cindy. Looks like a magnificent place to spend time! 🙂 <3
There are no traffic lights and no traffic jams!
Sounds too good to be true! 😂😻
<3 <3
The Fairy Terns are just beautiful <3
Aren’t they fairy-like! They are delicate and classified a vulnerable species due to extensive reductions in numbers.
Great Gulls almighty batman 🙂
No need for the batmobile here Robin, and no crime to fight either!
ohh hulk sad

Blogging rocks because I make friends like you <3
So funny! Beautifully so!
Although we did have one epic storm that flooded the island and washed away much of the beachfront. It was quite exciting!
Wonderful, beautiful and inspiring, as always
Just like you my friend <3 Hugs to you & happy Saturday!
Still looking pretty heavenly in the Cooks, Cindy.
Leslie
Yep. It is hard to imagine, but it looks like paradise, all the time!
I hope they don’t disappear with the rising oceans….
I love all the critters you found in the Cooks!
I did too. I would happen upon them in the most unexpected places, like the big old pig on the beach when I didn’t have my camera!
What a delightful-looking place!
Yep. The Cook Islanders have luckily been able to resist “progress and civilization,” which by the way, we both know, is an oxymoron.
Haha, it is indeed an oxymoron!
C’est tre`s jolie…tre`s bien…awsome indeed…esto es hermoso…
Los animales en este mundo, incluyendo a la mayoria de nosotros, son increiblemente hermosos. <3
Not only are the “critters” special, but the photography is superb! So sharp and bright.
Awww, I am humbled by your kindness. Thank you very much. <3
Cindy, I saw a man at the library this morning who looked just like that goat!! Great photos — have a splendid long weekend!
Cracking up completely…..I think I know him!!! 😂😂😂
Did yours have a fat braid at the end of his beard, too?!?
Oooooh, he does sound like a character!
Wow………amazing photos, Cindy. Hard to pick a favourite, but I do love the girl on the water. Something I’ve never done, but admire in those who do. 🙂
Let’s meet up in paradise. I’ve never done it either, but I think it looks super easy…… If it isn’t, screw it. We’re in paradise. Who cares! <3 😉
What a charming garden/back yard Cindy! Love your photos of the Cooks critters 💛
They were so completely charming. They lived in people’s yards. Not only are there no traffic lights in The Cooks, there is no commercial animals being grown for profit operation. The Cooks have always just been a different world. And considering our world, this seems to be a very good thing.
A sanctuary …. thank you for sharing it Cindy.
Could your photos get any more gorgeous?! I love traveling with you, dear friend Cindy ❤️
Awww, I love you more, brave, wise Tina <3 <3
Inspiring and fun!
I <3 my blogging friends. Hugs to you~
Oh what fun, Cyndi! Thank you for all the eye candy this morning.
Thank you so much more for letting me know you enjoyed it <3
What lovely country scenes. I love those birds, how beautiful they look! So graceful.
Birds are so amazingly beautiful, and so very lucky. They can both be with us, and fly away from us, whenever they choose.
Great photos and perfect captions. It looks like heaven would look.
Ahhh, thank you. Maybe heaven will be like this: Very helpful people. Wonderful animals. Limited civilization. People live as they have forever in The Cooks, and still rely on the land and sea. Maybe we were all basically sold into some degree of servitude to some other interests, when our ability to live independently, off the place we were planted, was taken from us. Can you imagine the Cook Islanders have resisted this, essentially forever? Now their biggest accomodation is hosting tourists like me, and I think they put me to shame.
Lovely photos! Thank you for sharing them.
Thank you more for your kind appreciation, and your tireless activism. We need you!
Love this!🌱
Thank you & so pleased you do!
Such amazing images…just gorgeous…I don’t know how you capture such detail in your bird pictures!! Thank you for posting!
Awww, so lovely of you & so appreciated too! Be well my friend <3
Lovely, lovely place and terrific post! 🙂 It looks like you spent time in paradise.
Thank you Patti. Maybe paradise is the place where progress doesn’t progress!
Good point. I often wonder if “progress” is a fantasy!!
Me too, a myth promulgated by people who make profits in selling it to us….
Great post, love the terns in the tree!
Thank you! Fairy Terns are magical.
All great photos but my pick is “Chicks on chairs”! creative name 🙂
I am happy you enjoyed & thank you!
