So step outside.

The path beckons,

leading you into the forest.

Inhale the clean mountain air.

Dip your toes into the cool, clear springs.

The air is perfumed with the scent of wild mountain roses,

and you pick some to bring back home, just a few, leaving most.

Wild artichoke are blooming everywhere.

If you were stressed when you arrived,

as you leave your heart is filled with nature’s peace.
Cheers to you from Mt. Palomar State Park~

Wow! lol…it took an awfully long time to get to your comments box!! Perfectly understandable though with such a wonderful blog to explore, and this is such a beautiful place….Wolfie would be in heaven here!!
Bring him down and let’s take him out!!! My friend who used to live nearby had two wolves and I miss them a lot!
I would like nothing better! WE would like nothing better! And you could look into the eyes of a wolf once again! HooOOOOOooOOOOOWWWWWWWWWwwwwwwwLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!
and he could howl and shock the beejuzus out of the coyotes!
Nothing beats wolfing around with Wolfie!!
Wolves are awesome to be around and so loyal!
The nature in the photos are beautiful.
I am so glad you enjoyed it and cheers to you~
Even more beckoning when you’ve been sitting in front of a computer screen all day!
I wonder how many human problems could at least be alleviated if people spent at least several hours every day out in nature? And had more vacation time like people in Europe!
I’m sure they would be alleviated to some extent. It’s especially important, I firmly believe, for kids to spend unorganized time out in nature. Don’t get me started on that . . . ; )
……agree with both points!
Beautiful paradise!
In our wonderful world of nature! Cheers to you and thank you~
Gorgeous photos! Eden IS calling! 🙂
It truly is and we are wise to heed the call!! 🙂
Beautiful!
Mil grazi!
A beautiful call of nature!
So glad and cheers to you~
Looks Eden like for sure – are there mosquitos? The flower in the last photo looks other worldly!
There were some mosquitos that drove me inside in the evenings!
Exquisite compositions, Cindy, bravo!
Merci beaucoup!
Beautiful Cindy. You might check out Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park just south of Carmel in Big Sur Cali.
The Big Sur area is the most beautiful in California. We have been through Pfieffer as we visit Big Sur every few years and can never get enough of it. Haven’t been for a couple years now and want to go back~
So yes then, you know of the beauty I speak. <3
I can sense the calm and almost smell those roses in this beautiful post Cindy. You take us to little slices of heaven.
Awww, so glad and cheers to you Pauline!
Yes, Nature hitting us with her beauty again. lovely post my farawayfriend x

Mentally, looking at the pics, you took me there, Cindy. Loved it. 🙂 Hugs!
Oh good! I keep wanting you to visit cuz, so I am glad you did!! 😉
Beautiful place.
Mil grazi~
Lovely Cindy! If you replaced some of those grassy meadows with vineyards it would look a bit like home. 🙂 x
Yep! It would. glorious France and lucky Lea!
Thank you Cindy! Yet somehow I don’t think France has seen the last of you. Indeed, I am very fortunate.
True! 😉
Such beauty! Love these! What is that last flower?
Thank you Linda and It’s an artichoke~
Well, go figure! 😀
Eden is where heart is and your photography! 🙂

Your choices of words, lending serenity to their visual reality of beauty in nature, is truly a gift, Cindy!
You are so kind Robin! Cheers to you~
The thistle and the wild artichoke were also beautiful details in a peaceful setting along a creek. I enjoyed “taking this walk,” today, all over again! Smiles, Robin
I am so glad you came along! You made it so much more enjoyable~
Stunning photos and place! 🙂
Happy you enjoyed!
I sure wish I had those wild artichokes close by… we have wild rhubarb though up at our cabin site by an old railroad. We pick them in late August and September when their ripe and mix with strawberries, make jams and pies and struddles… love the stuff…. but wish I had some of those nice artichokes… I’ll assume at the right time their edible variety? beautiful area… too 🙂
Yes, they need to be picked earlier. I would love the berry rhubarb pie!!! Yum~
I walked it’s path, smelled its fragrant air, got lost in moments of bliss with its sights, felt its healing crystal waters beneath my feet because you help us find its path and entrance door. Thanks for bringing Eden for so many today.
Awwww, so happy you came along and cheers to you~

We have so many eden’s waiting for us don’t we Uthan, it’s just a question of getting outside and protecting them! Thank you my friend~
We had so many artichokes on the bush in our allotment, that we couldn’t eat them all. Now there are huge artichoke “thistles” growing. They look very pretty, although totally inedible.
The thistles are so beautiful though, you can just look at them. They also make stunning, long lasting floral arrangements~
Out of interest, how long do they last? Can they be used as dried flowers in an arrangement and, if so, do they maintain their colour? The reason I’m asking this, Cindy, is that we need some blue flowers in particular as part of some arrangements to celebrate a festival in September. Our artichoke thistles might solve a problem as there aren’t any fresh blue flowers to be found then.
They last for a long time! I’m guessing but maybe up to a month in water. I don’t think they retain their color when fully dry, but it takes ages for them to fully dry, so I would suggest keeping them in a vase and seeing how they look as your festival nears. Also google drying and displaying artichokes and you will probably find people who know more than I…..good luck!
I love that little stone cottage surrounded by all that lush foliage, very rustic! 🙂 Is this somewhere you stayed recently?
Yes, it is Mt. Palomar State Park and the stone cottage is a 1920’s experimental hydro-electric dam!
Never met a woodsy path that didn’t call to me. Eden indeed, Cindy. Thanks for sharing. –Curt
Yes, whenever people are stressed they should get out in the natural world, green places, oceans, lakes. Shrinks spend so much time indoors they may not be aware of how curative this is. Basically people do better when they have regular contact with natural places~
That has been my belief for a long, long time Cindy.
Peace and contentment beckon!
They do indeed! Right outside your door…….
Wow, I need to get out of the city! Great photos, as always!
We all do! Regularly. Cheers to you Rick~
To think I was raised in a town of 1800 people, most of whom lived outside city limits. Main street didn’t even have a caution light, the highway skirted town….now, I haven’t been in the country in three years. Best to you too Cindy!
It sounds like an ideal place to grow up! All I know is that everything is better with me in every way when I am regularly away from crowds, traffic, and in a natural place with plants, animals and trees for company. I like being out on the ocean too, on a boat and always have. Lakes, ponds and rivers work also. People physically and emotionally do better when they have regular experiences with nature. It is grounding and primal.
There is such beauty on the left coast and you capture it in all wonderfully my dear. You are truly talented and highly blessed!
Oh I love it! Left coast and you are a genuinely good person Antionette~
I was also raised ina tiny place. My mother was a REIKI teacher. She took us with her into the forest to play and relax.
I can never forget and I deeply wish, I could go with my mother again
Reiki is amazing and so is your mother otherwise you wouldn’t miss her so much. When you go into the forest, she is there with you. She is probably always with you. As a mother this is what one strives for, to be loved and appreciated. She obviously did a very good job.
That artichoke is gorgeous!
Amazing looking aren’t they!
Stunning location, Cindy. I think I’d feel overdressed wandering in such a paradise, wearing clothes. Maybe fig leaves would be more appropriate. 🙂
Laughing…….some how I always felt sorry for Eve. It is so hard to wear fig leaves in a flattering way!!! 😉
I’ve actually never tried it. 😀
Well, if you do be sure and post it!!!! You would get sooooooo many likes!!! 😉 😉
What a paradise is right. Such vibrant colors. I like your pretty header, too.
Unlike Madonna, I love hydrangeas!!!! Laughing & cheers to you~
Beautiful photos, Cindy. Thank you for the pleasant mountain walk. Glad you’re enjoying yourselves.

What a beautiful place, looks so peaceful. There is indeed peace to be found in nature.
The more time we spend in nature, the better it is for us. Cheers to you & thank you~
