WOW! Cindy, these are fantastic! I’ve never been fond of ducks, not since an entire group of them jumped me at a lake and stole my sandwich, but, you know what? After seeing these photos, I think I might give ducks a second chance. This are beautiful! π
Are you sure it wasn’t geese that jumped you? They can be very aggressive. People use them as guards. Ducks are more wimpy. Swans can be super aggressive. Thanks for your comments Sahm & cheers to you~
Those lovely emerald green heads on the mallards are quite spectacular in the afternoon light aren’t they? Lovely photos, makes me miss the North American duckies…almost! π
The depth of focus on the first shot is slightly unsettling. It almost looks Photoshopped until you look more closely.
The ducks are going mad over here too. And the Canada geese. Amazing how fast the goslings grow
I’m not biblically ept, but wasn’t there a passage about, “a babe shall lead us….” or something to that effect. Fears are interesting puzzles in our psyches. They are causal, but not causally linked. She’ll need to deputize her daughter as the official goose handler…..Now my son is tagging rattlesnakes. Go figure…….

Nope it was definitely ducks. One was called Daffy, the other Donald, and they had a whole crew called the Duck Tales…
I’m kidding, I’m kidding. I appear to be in a bit of a juvenile mood at the moment… I love ducks. Cheers to you, Cindy!
Hilarious! Juvenile moods are always good~ π
All your pictures are so colorful and just beautiful. A very peaceful spot.
Much appreciated! Thank you & cheers~
I love the color of the ducks from their head up to the necks. They are so shiny.

Thank you Ranu. Yes the lucky males once again get to sport all the dazzle!! π

Beautiful pond!! I love the pic where the duck is splashing the water up!! Hugz!
Back to you X2!

Oh I love Canadian Geese. Aren’t they fun to watch marching after their mum? Plus they have personalities on top of good looks~
I have a friend who’s terrified of Canada geese. Her 15 month old daughter quite happily chases them.

How lovely! Thank you~
Lovely day then! Swap it for our gray skies, wind and rain?!:)
I would swap in a heartbeart and love it to pieces. We are in extreme fire danger now. Hot & dry after a year of draught. Terrible~
Stay safe… I have heard horrible reports about such fires when they strike…
Thank you!
Absolutely stunning shots, Cindy. Those water lilies are magnificent. π
Mil grazi~
At times – at places like this – I wish I were a duck! π
Hilarious & thank you!
You have captured the beauty and peacefulness of the pond, birds, and water lilies. Thank you for sharing, Cindy!

So lovely, Cindy… Welcome home!
Mil grazi Bette. The butterflies are here too. Matilda would love it!
lovely quackers!
They are daffy though~
so fresh and vibrant! I grew up near a marsh area and it was beautiful–maybe a trifle more swampy…:)
Marsh’s are awesome for the birds they attract~
It’s a beautiful spot, Cindy. Do you spend much time there. I know I would. It looks so peaceful.
Paul
