WOW! Cindy, these are fantastic! I’ve never been fond of ducks, not since an entire group of them jumped me at a lake and stole my sandwich, but, you know what? After seeing these photos, I think I might give ducks a second chance. This are beautiful! π
Are you sure it wasn’t geese that jumped you? They can be very aggressive. People use them as guards. Ducks are more wimpy. Swans can be super aggressive. Thanks for your comments Sahm & cheers to you~
Those lovely emerald green heads on the mallards are quite spectacular in the afternoon light aren’t they? Lovely photos, makes me miss the North American duckies…almost! π
The depth of focus on the first shot is slightly unsettling. It almost looks Photoshopped until you look more closely.
The ducks are going mad over here too. And the Canada geese. Amazing how fast the goslings grow
I’m not biblically ept, but wasn’t there a passage about, “a babe shall lead us….” or something to that effect. Fears are interesting puzzles in our psyches. They are causal, but not causally linked. She’ll need to deputize her daughter as the official goose handler…..Now my son is tagging rattlesnakes. Go figure…….
Your pictures are really beautiful, each one!

Nope it was definitely ducks. One was called Daffy, the other Donald, and they had a whole crew called the Duck Tales…
I’m kidding, I’m kidding. I appear to be in a bit of a juvenile mood at the moment… I love ducks. Cheers to you, Cindy!

I have a friend who’s terrified of Canada geese. Her 15 month old daughter quite happily chases them.
