Two new birds for me! The first five photos are Tropical King Birds.

The Tropical Kingbird identification is a late edition correction provided for me by Teresa Robeson, a brilliant blogging friend @ teresarobeson.wordpress.com
Thank you Teresa! Thrilled you, and your family member, helped identify another new species for me.

She clairified this bird was either a Couch or Tropical Kingbird.

It’s location points to it being a Tropical Kingbird,

a member of the tyrant flycatcher family.

The final three photos are Great Kissdadees also in the tyrant flycatcher family.

Kisskadees are not only beautiful, but bold and will chase away monkeys, raptors and snakes.

Tropical Kingbirds and Kiskadees can be found in Southern Texas, Mexico and Central/South America. Tropical Kingbirds have a similar range but can also be seen in Southern Arizona.
Like most birdies, both species are avid people watchers.
Cheers to you from Mexico and her beauteous birdies~
(Hopefully the identifications are now correct!)

Happy Holidays to you and yours Eliza ᒄ₍⁽ˆ⁰ˆ⁾₎ᒃ♪♬
Such amazing color! A real cutie!!
He is a QT Birdee! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Well captured, Cindy … how big is he, and he looks similar to our wattlebird …
Your wonderful wattlebird is bigger than both birds. The Great Kisskadee is bigger than the Tropical Kingbird. I was mistaken about the idenity of one of the birds. One is a Great Kisskadee and the other a Tropical Kingbird. I focused in and saw the yellow, then the brown wings, I was hooked for two days photographing both birds. The kinda fuzzy photos are the first day and are the Kisskadee, and the cleaner ones the second day are The Kingbird. Sorry for the confusion! Totally appealing birdies. Happy Holidays Ivor & be well (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Thank you for the fascinating information about the Kiskadee, Cindy … Lol, most of my birdie photos are fuzzy, only occassionally do I manage a clear photo with my iPhone … 🦅😉
I love your photos.
You are too kind. Cindy 😊
She’s a beauty! Such a brilliant yellow.
Isn’t he a beauty. Quite a lot of confidence and personality too! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
He’s a cute fellow and new to me too. 😍

You are so welcome & Happy Holidays to you and yours Liz (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Thanks, Cindy!
What a beauty! ♥
Thank you Niki. He agrees with you! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
I think that bird takes for granted how good looking it is …..
He has that cocky confidence air about him…… (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Wow Cindy! He’s so beautiful, how do you manage to capture such beautiful photos? I envy your skills! I’m sure it’s warmer down there than it is up here in Las Vegas but it was in the mid 60s today. Take care! ❤️😊
Thank you sincerely John and Yikes! That is quite cool for LV. Today was super humid and not pleasant, but we are heading back to The Sea of Cortez now so things should cool down (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
It’s much better than back home in Michigan! Safe travels!
True!
This bird is new to me too. I don’t expect to see any here, so your photos are especially welcome.
Happy Holidays!
A Holiday gift for both you and I! The Kissades are gratified, I’m sure, by our mutual admiration. Happy Holidays Audrey & thank you!
(ꈍ∇ꈍ)

Love the colour!!! So glad to meet him!!
Smiling…. I’m glad you’re glad!! Cheers (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Beautiful
Grazie mille (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
I’ve never heard of the Kiskadee, but then I’m sure there are many birds I don’t know.
According to the Bird sites, we have 575 bird species in my state of Victoria and I only know about 100.
Great photos as usual.
I hear you! It isn’t really known how many bird species there are in the world. Estimates range from 11,000 to 20,000. Lots of birdies to try and identify!! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
I spent 3 weeks in Cancun in October/November and these birds were all over down there. They would fly right over to our balconies and sing their song, which is how they got their name. Great pictures, Cindy.
How marvelous! I love making bird friends when I travel (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Great photos of a beautiful bird, Cindy. He looks like he’s got his head turned right around on the first picture. Hurts my neck to look!
Tee hee hee….. Birds can get quite silly when they people watch! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
I think it’s because of all that hammering they do with their beaks. Addles their brains.
Makes perfect sense. Their brains are hammered. Maybe all the birdwatching is the explanation for my addled brain 😉 😉
Well, if that’s true, we’ll have to start a club.
I’m in!
Gorgeous bird!
The birdies agree with you!!! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Nicely done! As usual! 😃
Ahhh…… Thanks very much! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
That is a very distinct ‘yellow’ Cindy, almost a color on its own. And a tough critter too. Great pictures kind lady, he spoke well. Thank you for the share 🤗❤️🙏
Thank you much more Mark for your always delightful commentary Mark. You are so appreciated! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Great shots.
Happy Holidays! 🎄
Thanks very much & All the Joys of The Season to you! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
My pleasure. 😊
Splendid bird. It almost looks like a combination of the topside of a sparrow and the underside of a blue tit.
YES! It does. How perceptive of you Thomas. (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
He sounds like a tough little birdie what beautiful plumage so yellow ..Great shots as always, Cindy…Merry Christmas x
Thanks much Carol & Joy of The Season to you and yours (ꈍ∇ꈍ)

Merci beaucoup mon Ami Robbie (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Awesome yellow! Take good care.
Visa versa 2UX2 my friend & cheers! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
That yellow is wonderful! 🙂
Flying sunshine! (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Lovely fellahs! And lasses. We saw them when I was in the Cancun area. But think they do migrate to the north? I managed to get a good Mexican bird book too. Enjoy your stay and think there has been some good work protecting the ocean in Baja California.
Kisskadees don’t migrate, but their range extends to Southern Texas. Yes! Thankfully in the precious Baja Pennisula and The Sea of Cortez much of the ecosystem remains undeveloped (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
That sounds a wonderful place to visit. I loved my trip to Mexico, the Yucatan and then Monterrey for a wedding. But not enough time or companions to do more.
Fascinating places. I first visited Yucatan when was 14, just a few years ago! 😉
Lucky you! And still so young!😄😘
Why are we laughing??????? 😄😘😄😘
Very handsome fella! Looks a little like a Vireo?
Yes some similarities. We have Vireos at The Holler, but they are shy. I need to work harder to photograph them (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
Very handsome bird! I will have to go to Texas to see him.
Please post photos when you do (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
A handsome fellow, Cindy! I love flycatchers! Congratulations on seeing a new-to- you bird!
Thanks Terri. Always a big thrill to meet new birdies (ꈍ∇ꈍ)
