Why go it alone on a seaside holiday,

when vacations are more fun shared.

Sandhills eschew solitude,

preferring to gambol about in groups.
Cheers to you from the vacationing Sandhills at The Salton Sea~

Love you images of the cranes Cindy, they so remind me of our Brolga, even the way they walk.
They are uncannily alike aren’t they. The red on the head is in a slightly different position. Amazing დ

Happy you enjoyed Derrick & thank you ღ
Otherworldly. You made me go do homework. Other than LA (sadly) and Santa Barbra (too briefly) I don’t know Southern CA (not counting DL). You have talented feet for finding places, as well your beautiful eye for seeing how you see. Such thanks for taking us along with you. 😊 You are a world whisperer.
You are a lovely person and friend Neil. Thank you & be well ღ
The red crown/ patch makes them so striking! Thanks for the pics, Cindy!!!
Yes. Like most impressive Cardinals in procession! ღ
Now that is fascinating Cindy, we have birds almost identical in Queensland here in Australia. I wonder if they do a migration over here or just cousins? You’ve got me interested now, I shall take a look and see what I find. Great images kind lady, and love the intrigue 😀❤️🙏
Yes, Aussie’s have been telling me about the Broglas. They are uncannily similar. The only difference seems to be the placement of the red markings on their heads. I bet there is a fascinating evolutionary tale here ღ
Beautiful captures Cindy. Amazing birds.🥰
Happy you like them Arlene & thanks much! ღ
I’d love to gambol with them! Thanks for these images.
Smiling. I woke up this morning realizing I spelled gambol wrong დ

Hi Cindy, I noticed that I got an automatic pop-up asking me to subscribe to your blog (I got one the last time and assumed it related to IT changes in policy) and I entered my email, but it happened again today, even though I’m using the same device. Anyhoo, thought you should know because it might be affecting who’s seeing your posts. Regards, Emma
Thanks for the alert. I hate this new WP function. I get it all the time on blogs to. You just ignore it and click on ‘keep reading’ and it takes you back to comments. I wish WP would stop already with the “improvements!” ღ
What a good and beautiful flock they are!
Have a fine weekend, dear Cindy!
They are lovely aren’t they. Happy everything to you dear Martha ღ
I am not sure how you intended for this post but the title got me thinking about these birds at Sandhills are forming their society. The pictures also showing the birds gather around and talking. That is a humor to me 🙂

Hi Cindy, I absolutely love your photos. And to be honest, I am inspired to turn them into paintings. I recently started an online shop (paintedbutterstudio.com) where I have stocked up a select set of my animal paintings. I would like to expand the collection — it would be great if I can use a few of your photos for reference if you don’t have a problem with that?
I would be sincerely honored and thank you for the courtesy of asking. Thank you & take good care ღ
Thank you so much! Will share them with you once they are done. Hope to keep following your photography/writing.
Lovely. I just followed you and look forward to seeing your work.
