Flowers always can brighten our day and our world when we see so much that can bring us down and need to be reminded of the beauty God gives us. Beautiful images and I especially love the one of the bee on the bloom.
These are gorgeous Cindy, ready to sing from their hearts. You don’t want a little shower or two for them do you? Up north has gone crazy and delivered a record of 995mm in 7 days (they had 350mm in 24hrs at one point). I’m trying to get my head around a meter of rain, it’s a wall of water, you could surf it π π€£ β€οΈ ππ½ π¦
Wow!! I am seriously jealous. We just got an inch, but lots of snow in the nearby mountains and big icicles! We could definitely use some of your water α
I didn’t know any of the common names for the crinkly white poppy but I’ve just found another from the San Diego Zoo website, ‘Queen of California’, and I love that!
I have never heard the matilija called that but it is entirely fitting. Thanks for telling me. They are stunning flowers, and very large. Some people call them the fried egg flower which is also fitting. They are native to SoCal and grow near creek beds α
You are so right. I see you have the one which needs ironing hte petal in there. I saw that inmy beloved Kew Gardens. Blooms just make Life brighter. Thank you x
You have FLOWERS already, Cindy?? Oh, how wonderful! I’m sooo looking forward to Spring … and beauties like these! Thank you for giving me a glimpse — afraid it will have to suffice for several more weeks though.
