David Austin Roses were my centerpiece for Thanksgiving. (Click to enlarge.)

Same bouquet photographed with flash.

Holler roses are still blooming!

Mixed Thanksgiving bouquet.

They show more color with flash.

Koko Loko roses are thriving now at The Holler. They bloom cocoa colored and turn pale lavender.

Star of Holland Amaryllis are early, which is a first, because I was home to plant them.

Narcissus are also early due to surprise rain.
Cheers to you from The Holler in winter~

So beautiful! Thank you for showing your lovely pictures – stay safe, dear Cindy.
Ahh, so thoughtful of you and so appreciated too. დ დ
How beautiful with all these flowers. Early and you have more or may be even longer the beauty!
Yes, the blooming gets longer and longer, as bulbs multiply and the weather pattern changes. This year, early November rain made all the difference დ
How lovely! Such beautiful detail.
Grazie mille Eugenia დ
Perfect pictures – as usual! 🙂 Thanks for sharing.
Ahhh, thanks more for appreciating them დ
They are absolutely breathtaking, Cindy. Hugs on the wing.
Hugs & cheers back to you Teagan and thank you my friend დ
Cindy, I’m fascinated by that rose which blooms beige and turns lavender! I’ve never heard of that! And you’ve still got roses blooming? Wow!!
I love the koko locos. They are milk chocolate in color before they turn lavender. Unusual and beautiful დ
The flowers are gorgeous Cindy, especially the orangish roses and Star of Holland Amaryllis! How wonderful to have so many flowers still blossoming this late in the year.
Happy you enjoyed them Brad. I try to have flowers blooming year round at The Holler. The winter bulbs are blooming early დ
That sounds wonderful Cindy!

Just beautiful, makes me think of the poem: November Roses by Christina Rosetti!
Thanks much Dena. I will google the poem დ
They are lovely Cindy. I must check and see if there are any roses out on our bushes. They usually last until the snow.
Leslie xoxo
Thank you Leslie. Yes roses hang on until the bitter end! დ
and thank heavens they do Cindy. …..
Hope on a branch….
People in your home for Thanksgiving enjoyed a wonderful feast for their eyes! Just gorgeous.
Thank you Sheila. If you lived near, you would have a bouquet დ
You already gave me one!

The next two months are going to be tough ones. Your roses are lucky to sleep through it! Stay safe and well Paul დ

Cindy, thank you so much for more beautiful photographs!
Reblogged this on charles french words reading and writing and commented:
Please enjoy these beautiful photographs from Cindy Knoke!
What am I grateful for in 2020? Wonderful friends like you! Thank you Charles and stay safe my friend დ
All is grey and brown in our Boston-area garden after a day of (much-needed) rain. As usual your photographs are STUNNINGLY beautiful — and the comments they elicit are terrific, too… stories about dancing opossums and hungry gophers and close encounters with rose-breeders and Peter-Pan-led future trips to Giverny! Thank you for sharing these wonderful flowers with the rest of us.
Your wonderful words make me smile Will. Thank you! Stay safe and warm in beautiful Boston my friend დ

how many Thanksgiving dinner tables did you rob for the flowers Cindy? Love the shots!
How did you know I am a clandestine thief? Only in the darkest nights of my imagination though….
I jest of course Cindy. You got a whack of flowers at any rate!
I like your jest! Be well დ
Do these plants grow in your outside garden Cindy or indoor?
Discerning question. Only the amaryllis grows indoors. I hope you stay safe and well Charlotte დ
George put one of our plants outside on the balcony and nearly killed it, I don’t know the name of it, I hope it recovers. I bought a little Christmas Tree in a pot with soil intending to put it out on the balcony but it looks good indoors I just have to remember to keep watering it more.
Best wishes, Charlotte
Best of luck in both cases. I plant my Christmas trees, and now I have a bank of Christmas Trees at The Holler that I have no heart to cut down. We’ll have a mini pine forest in the semi-desert! დ

Wonderful photos Cindy, as always! I’m glad that you got some surprise rain; I imagine that it was needed.
The rain was a blessing on our parched Holler earth. Rain hasn’t returned, but hope springs eternal. Stay well and thank you Josh დ
It was unbelievably dry in Colorado, too, at least until it started snowing.
Last night it was 32F here. And this is SoCal. It will get in the high 20’s soon at night.
Beautiful absolutely stunning! The photos are amazing!
Awww, your kindness is most appreciated Kerri. Stay safe & well my friend დ
Wow! I wish I had come to your house for Thanksgiving… 😉 We made Hungarian Goulash for a change and I attempted to do some food photography but it looked like the dog’s dinner!
Laughing….My grandmother used to make it. It tastes wonderful, but doesn’t photograph too well. I am actually a bit suspicious of picture perfect food. Looks great, tastes meh….. 😉 😉
That makes me feel much better, Cindy! K x

I love them too, thank you Kathy. It is quite amazing to watch them completely change color დ
Amazing array of beauties, Cindy! We still have two roses in the garden that have not given in to the frost. Thankful for the sun and 8° today. 🙂
We are getting below freezing at night and the roses are still blooming! დ
All are beautiful but the David Austin ro
…but the David Austin roses are from a fairytale land. So special.
