Sticking his tongue out at you!

Actually, don’t be offended. It was at me not you.

There were joey’s too!

Like babies everywhere, they spent their time eating & sleeping.

While the parents kept vigil.

Adults are well equipped for both fight & flight.
Cheers to you from Australia’s normally quite polite roos~

Look at the nails on that mum!

She is ready and able to defend her joey! დ
What I most appreciate about this post is the idea of family, which is so important in these days of solitude. Comforting to know that we are supporting and encouraging each other. Hugs!
I am taking care of my twin grandbabies while their parents work remotely, so your comments resonate with me Rebecca. I can’t imagine familial separations going on for over 6 months now. Painful. Family comes together when bad times visit. დ
How very well said, Cindy!
დ დ
No offense taken ! 😁
It would take more than a rude roo to rattle you! დ
Truth! 🙂

A mild mannered marsupial mother 🦘
Ok. As an ardent admirer of alliteration, this is awesome, amazing and astonishing! დ
A sincerely satiating response, Cindy 🙏
Laughing, love it! დ
Great pics, Cindy, especially the joeys 🙂
Thanks much cuz. Hope you are safe and well დ
I’ve never seen a kangaroo in real life. But your pictures make me believe how adorable and beautiful they are! 😍
Awww, so happy you think so & thank you Suri დ
😊😊
Adorable creatures.😘
<3 my friends who <3 the roos!
Nice pedicure! Lovely reportage about kangaroo!
Smiling. Thank you Alexander! დ
I also want to see a kangaroo😍
I hope you do, soon! დ
Oh my goodness, those claws are real weapons!
They are indeed! დ
Rude or not rude, they are endlessly fascinating! Wonderful post, Cindy!! Stay safe.
I love my friends who love rude roos! You stay safe too Sheila დ
Hi Cindy, this is Halim. Just to let you know, I have a second blog now and am writing from there (the idea is to have one dedicated to design and drawing stuff, and cats haha. I’ll see how it goes.)
I think kangaroos are so fascinating. I’ve seen pictures and videos where they can throw big punches and I think kicks too and it’s both fascinating and terrifying to watch. Especially since they have quite the poker face. It’s quite unnerving haha
Happy to hear about your new blog. I will check it out and look forward to following. Thank you for telling me. Kangaroos definitely can be lethal, but they rarely are, unless seriously threatened and unable to escape. I never felt the slightest bit threatened by them, but I never disrespected them or their space. Often they would munch away, while I clicked away, at a safe distance დ
I just love this! The information and photos are incredible!
Ahh, I am honored and happy you enjoyed them. Thank you დ
I’m thinking Cindy that you wouldn’t to end up on the wrong end of those claws backed up by powerful back legs. Especially on an irritated mom saying ‘leave my baby alone.’ As always, great photos backed up by fun commentary. Thanks. –Curt
Yes, if she needed to, she packs quite a lethal wallop in those back legs დ
These are super pictures! I love the little joey. But those toenails/claws are amazing–adapted for jumping and defense, too!
Quite an impressive and uniquely adapted creature! დ
Cindy, thank you! These photographs are wonderful!
Thank you much more for your thoughtfulness Charles დ
Lovely photos and information from down under. Thank you Cindy 💛
Thank you for your kind appreciation Val & stay safe and well my friend დ
Such gorgeous photographs, Cindy! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and for the follow.
I love your blog and the slice of life you share from beautiful rural north Suffolk. I feel like I am visiting there when I visit which is especially wonderful during covid quarantine. Lovely to meet you დ
Thank you very much, Cindy; it’s lovely to meet you, too! <3
დდ
Amazing creatures.
Yes, thank you, they are perfectly adapted to their amazing home დ
Beautiful.

🌺
Watching them box is insane. They really go at it.
I have only seen this in videos! დ
Me too! If I saw it in real life, I’d be putting a lot of distance between me and them. :).
You are smart დ
Für mich fremde Tiere, errinern mich ein bisschen nach Elchen.
Ja. Australien ist einzigartig. Ich hoffe, Sie sind sicher und gesund. დ
Those are some pretty lethal looking toes!
They are serious, aren’t they. დ
Cindy you are a dare devil, first off you are near one of those beautiful beasts but that have some sort of martial arts in them, ever saw them fight? Kangaroos….. great photos as always, have a great weekend.
These are a joy to see, you know I don’t recall seeing many photos of these animals and I have been looking at photos for awhile now, very nice indeed. And as always, well captured.
Very sweet.
Grazie mille დ
Probably the biggest claw I have ever seen. I love your blog.
Such and honor that you do დ
You are welcome.
დ
Thank you Cindy. 🙂
დდ
Fantastic photographs
Merci beaucoup mon ami დ
The claws are scary and intense! What better way to protect those cutie baby joeys.
They are so tiny, the claws aren’t scary at all, just good for holding on to branches.
You got really close shots. Great photos, Cindy!
They really are shy and sweet creatures დ
