Oh my goodness… how absolutely gorgeous! Those colours!!!!!
I don’t know, why I do not live in Oz. The parrots are just unbelievably wonderful!
The natural beauty of nature. Simply gorgeous! 😊👍
Incredibly sweet and interactive too!
Absolutely beautiful! You’re making me homesick, Cindy 🇦🇺 😥😊
I can so well understand! Why do I not live here?
she (or he) is absolutely sublime and with a mischievous eye
They radiate parrot humor, intelligence and friendliness. One landed on my head and stayed. I decided trying to take a photo would look ridiculous, (of me, not the parrot.)
😉
Gorgeous, Cindy!
Oz’s parrots are just that, with a bit of magic, tossed in. <3
They look it too. We have some ‘escapees’ that live, most incongrously, in a village on the Yorkshire moors.
Amazing! We have a huge flock of Yellow Headed Parrots that escaped in Southern California where they are doing better than in the wild!
One of London’s parks has a colony of exotic birds too. Always startling to see.
It is amazing they can survive London’s winters.
The ones in the north have even colder weather to contend with…
Beautiful Rosella Parrots, Cindy 😀
I am happy you like them & hope you are well Irene.
Thank you, Cindy.

Love them Cindy. Colourful little beauties
You smart person you. You emigrated here. You so have an idea of the wildlife I am seeing. It is just astounding. I hope you and Jack are doing well. <3
Jack was born in Sydney 87 years ago and couldn’t wait to bring me back “home” when he retired after 30-40 years living and working in NZ. And NZ was a great place to live too.
You have led a varied and fascinating life <3
Beautiful colours
Mother Nature rocks her palette with the parrots <3
Beautiful and well photographed photographs of what is one of Australia’s Iconic birds, you have captured them beautifully Cindy.
Thank you very much. I love the parrot species, and have since I was a young kid. Coming here is truly like Oz to me, minus the wicked witch.

Thank you. You are so lucky to live here. Why don’t I is my question.
Fantastic pictures
I am honored. Thank you.
One of my favourites! Rosellas have a lovely melodic call.
Yes they do. Plus they are intelligent, outgoing, and just basically utterly charming.
Wonderful – quizzical expression – furry feathers – claw as egg-cup 🙂
Laughing, “claw as egg cup.”
Perfect Derrick & thank you.
🙂
The handsome feathered friend in the first photo looks like he might have just watched the evening news and replied “Say what?”
As always beautiful and engaging, this journey through your lens.

Yes. They are a type of parrot.
Hey Cindy, how ya doing down-under?
An appealing title, the Rosella’s delightful, colours to distract the eye.
Their crimson lick is pretty slick, so too their free-lunch sly!
Thank you for posting 😀

I fell in love with Australia many years ago through reading Harlequin © author Margaret Way’s accounts of the birdlife. So beautiful!
I will check out the book. Thanks for the lead & cheers!

Oh, Cindy, these are gorgeous!! I wonder if birds know (or even appreciate) how striking their markings are.
I wonder this too & thank you! <3
