Is really so pretty!

The historic old pubs are lovely,

and fun to explore,

on a good, old-fashioned Irish pub-crawl.

You are guaranteed to make friends because the people are warm, friendly, and often just a tad tipsy!

Dublin is a vibrant, colorful city,

justifiably proud,

of its artistic and literary history.

I am still home at The Holler, but it’s cheers to you from beautiful Dublin~

Hi Cindy! Enjoying the colors of the rainbow.
Hugs and happy weekend you <3
These colorful photos certainly shattered some preconceived notions about Dublin I’d been harboring.
Oh good. It is wonderful to have our conceptions challenged because it keeps us growing and learning. This happened to me in Belfast, so I know how the experience feels.
Your pictures and travels never fail to amaze me Cindy! You have such an eye for the most unusual sights. Such a treat….I may not comment very often, but I always enjoy your posts.
Hugs to you sweet friend. We have more in common than you know <3
Thanks Cindy. It is both comforting and sad to know this. xo
<3 <3
I love Dublin, it was my father’s home city. 💜💜
Ireland is so beautiful, on so many levels <3
Yes I do love it, it’s my spiritual home, though I have only visited three times 💜
<3 <3
If all goes as planned, Mary and I will visit Ireland in May 2019!
Oh how wonderful! I hope you include Northern Ireland in your itinerary. It is stunning, has less tourist traffic, and the people are genuinely happy to see you.
Hi Cindy,
very likely we’ll spend a few days in Northern Ireland, too. My first plan was the Republc of Ireland, plus two days in Northern Ireland, plus a week in Wales. But now I’ve changed it to Ireland [north and south] only, to have more time there, and leave Wales for some other time. We need to find out if some distant relatives of my wife [her ancestry is half Irish] can still be dug up.
Enjoy your day,
Pit
Oh it sounds perfect and I think you are wise to limit yourself to Ireland, as there is so much to see and do that one cannot accomplish in one trip. You will have a wonderful time and meeting up with long lost relatives would make the experience much richer.
We’re very much looking forward to four weeks of/in Ireland.
Oh, perfect amount of time. Month long trips are my favorite.
We like to take our time – if possible.
<3
Hi Cindy Dublin/Ireland is a wonderful city/country. We were there a few years ago and I wrote a song about it called Irish Cream.

How perfectly wonderful! Thanks for sharing.
I’m glad you liked it Cindy.
Leslie 🙂
A pub crawl seems ever so more enticing than bar hopping, Cindy! 🙂 –Curt
Yes indeed, even if your crawling by the time you leave the last pub!
Grin. Likewise— Wonder if the hopping is what you do for the policeman after you come out of the last bar.
You hop if you are not so blasted that you crawl. This is strictly from memory of course, of days long ago…..
Of course… 🙂
Even though I’m not fond of cities, I bet I’d enjoy this one!
Belfast is also gorgeous and has much less tourist traffic. You are like me and like to avoid crowds, so Northern Ireland might be more to your liking.
Beautiful places to lighten a troubled mind 🙂 I especially like the old historic pub.
The people are wonderful. So welcoming and open.
Very cheerful….just beautiful!!
Thanks much & so happy you enjoyed!
Loved Dublin when we visited, even though it was many years ago. The Irish hospitality and food was excellent.
That was the trip where Hubby’s holdall went on its holidays without him as it got loaded with the luggage of a departing party and had to be returned to the hotel by taxi from Cork!
Oh my gosh. I live in dread of this happening. When we went to Antarctica, the airlines lost a man’s luggage. He was easy to recognize because he wore the same clothes everyday and they were not suitable for Antarctica. It is a testament to Ireland’s charms, and your husband’s fortitude, that you both still had a wonderful time and retain positive memories.
We found it highly amusing at so many people trying to rectify the problem, though saying his bag contained his medication may have had a lot to do with it. We could not fault the service, and the hotel was spotless. Breakfast was amazing. We were only there for three days, but it thoroughy enjoyed it, especially the pub entertainment, even though we are not drinkers, we could still listen outside. Wonderful.
I will file the medication angle for future reference. I drink tea in the pubs while my husband drinks the good stuff! Sounds like you had a wonderful time.
It was great, and we’d love to go back sometime.
Beautiful city and pictures!
Thank you Luccia & Happy Weekend!
Very colorful place to visit. thanks for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed & thank you~
Dublin sure does look better today than it did to James Joyce decades ago. Thanks for demonstrating that kelly green is not the only strong bright color in Ireland.
Yes, Joyce was a very complicated man, and so was Stephen, and so is Ireland, but it definitely flies all the colors of the rainbow, proudly and beautifully.
Looks interesting
It is and fun too.
Thanks for the mini tour to beautiful Ireland. 🙂
You are most welcome. Thank you for traveling with me <3
Such a lovely city!! Your photos are wonderful!
Your kindness is most appreciated. Thank you~

Reblogged this on The Reluctant Poet.
It is good you are reluctant, and even better, that you are reluctant, and a brilliant poet.
Such captivating colors! Never been there, but now I wish. And I should have known. After all, My Dear is Irish as they come — McDonough. I was captivated 55 years ago, and happily still am.
Oh yes you are a lucky man, married to an Irish lass. They are the nicest people. And I am so happy for both of you <3
Are the twins and their Mama well? <3
Yes. Thank you for asking/remembering. It got a little hairy, but all is well now. The boys are a month old and mama is very mellow. Dad is every bit as involved as mom which is really nice to see. You are a thoughtful soul for remembering and caring.
I could not restrain myself any longer with waiting!!!! <3
Congratulations Grandma!!! XOXOXO
Thanks & hugs to you sweet friend <3
Yes really colourful! super pictures!
Awww, thank you my friend, much appreciated & cheers to you~
I’m just pea-green with envy, Cindy — Dublin is exactly where I intend to visit again, as soon as I have the chance!! Gorgeous photos of a warm and lovely city!
It is odd isn’t it. No matter how much one travels, the bucket list never gets shorter because with every place you tick off, there is another where you say, “Oh we must go back and see more!”
Ireland is definitely such a place.
I love Dublin – my grandma grew up there.
She grew up in a beautiful country and I am certain you have inherited her pride.
Dublin seem to be a beautiful town. Maybe I go there some day 🙂 Beautiful pictures.
Please go! And visit more of Ireland when you do.
Oh, lovely shots of Dublin – had me longing again!
I understand and empathize <3
You are such an inspiration Cindy with your amazing photos and light spirit. I’ve not been to Ireland, but am drawn to it time and again. Maybe Aer Lingus via Dublin for my next visit home to Scotland ☺️
I’ve never seen such a beautiful, colorful city before! Ireland has traditionally not been high on my travel wish-list, but the more I learn about it the more alluring it seems.
It is has lots of wild, rugged and beautiful places, so I think you might enjoy it.
I’m certain I would!
We enjoyed our day in Dublin. Very vibrant place. Also saw some of the places you featured here.
Dublin is full of surprises. Last time we stayed for a week, and we still found new places to explore on our second visit.
Cheers to exploring!
What an explosion of colour!
Brightens up the world a bit doesn’t it!
Kleurrijk zullen we maar zeggen.
Maar ook bijna overal bloemen aan de gevels..
Ik hou van de bloemen op de gevels! Zo mooi.
Such gorgeous and colourful scenes, Cindy. I love Dublin — Grafton St., the pubs, Trinity College, and front doors of houses, etc.
Yes, all of it is beautiful. We explored the public library this time, with a wonderful exhibit on Yeats. The city is always full of surprises.
I wanna go! I wanna go!
Great pix!
I hope you do, and travel around Ireland too!
I love, love, love those buildings…. <3
Did you sample at each pub you visited?
So much color!! I was in Dublin a few years ago with my daughter– and you’ve made me want to go back! Did you go to the old school Natural History Museum?? That was our favorite. Beautiul Cindy! hugs!
We didn’t and it sounds like a reason to go back. This time we hung out at the public library pouring over the WB Yeats exhibit.
Awesome– you know how to travel Cindy!! xox
<3 <3
I love Dublin, Cork and Galway so much. Thanks for bringing me back to Ireland. It feels like I was there another life ago! Did you go to Bewleys??
I did, and lingered quite a bit drooling at the bakery items!
I know!! I have very fond memories just hanging out there and drinking in the tea and Dublin accents.
I miss the pastry…..
This is another place on our “to go” list. Lovely captures of vibrant color and city life.
Oh good. I am glad you will visit wonderful Ireland!
Thanks, Cindy! I’m looking forward to seeing this city next fall!

Ireland is wonderful to be a tourist in!
It sure is a beautiful place. Being treated as a tourist is honorary as the red-carpet treatment! Thanks for sharing! 😊☕
Being welcomed as a tourist is a wonderful feeling. Thank you for appreciating,
Hi Cindy
Hello everyone
I just totally loved the pictures, full of life and positivity. I belong to a place which is known for its beauty all over the world, i.e Kashmir Valley. Seeing natural beauty on pictures doesn’t fascinate me at all because i have grown up seeing that all live.
Talking about the pictures you uploaded, they are just amazing, i can feel positivity in them, all the colours together, with no negativity, its just awesome.
Awww, lovely to meet you and thank you for such very kind words. They are much appreciated. My mother spent time in Kashmir on sabbatical when I was in graduate school. I did a post on her travels and photos, and I still have the glorious Kashmir boxes she brought back for me, and some of the exquisite saris and embroidery. I know from her photos that Kashmir is as beautiful as you describe. My daughter went to India as well during graduate school. And there is a charm on my grandmother’s charm bracelet from her travels, from India, of an Indian buffalo with baskets. I am the only female in my three generations of females, who has not been to India. I plan to remedy this, soon.
I would love to see the pictures of my place that you have shared. It would be really nice if you shared that post, i couldn’t find it.
Remind me what photos you are referring to and I will see if I can help.
You said that you had shared a post earlier comprising of your mother’s travel photos when she had been to Kashmir. I was talking about those pictures. It would be great to see them.
Thanks for being so warm and kind.❤
Thats quiet interesting to jear that your some of your family members have been here. I am sure they must have enjoyed it here, as the people here are quite warm and welcoming. I hope you also get a chance to visit my place.
<3
