are the genius of Gaudi.

He walked on this earth,

When you walk in the quiet of earliest morning,

in La Sagrada Familia,

you can feel Gaudi’s sacred visions.
Cheers to you from the beautiful heart of Gaudi~

I was there in 1980, and virtually none of what you’ve photographed was there then. Clearly I’m overdue for a return trip.
Oh, yes, please do go and post. It would be fascinating to post some before and after photos!
So beautiful, and I love your title, Cindy. 🙂
Aww, thank you! <3
having a senior moment.. where is this? btw.. great pictures, but then… you never disappoint xx
My fault, my husband said I should provide more identification. This is Gaudi’s La Sagrada Familia cathedral in Barcelona.
Gorgeous pictures of creative visions! Brought back great memories!
Oh, ich mag Gaudi, war vor einigen Jahren in Barcelona, grossartig sind seine Bauten…
Ja, Gaudi ist ein Genie!
Oh. Cindy, my favourite above all cathedrals in the world. thank you for the update! Every time I see photos from it, something new has happened – new details, new colours. Tha facade as well – a work still in progress. He is a man I would love to have dinner with, had he been here still…
This time we went to his home. Have you been? It is as remarkable as he is.
No I haven’t. Is it in Parc Guell? Closed when we were there. Is there a post I have missed?
Check out this link on Gaudi Buildings in Barcelona. His house is a highpoint and you can tour it. It is an artistic masterpiece. You would love it! I highly recommend. It is centrally located and easy to walk to from central Barcelona.

You have captured the beauty, majesty, and vision of this magnificent architecture! Truly amazing!
Gaudi is one of those artistic geniuses who create faith in our species.
Spectacular Sight – love these stained glass windows.
Aren’t they gorgeous! I love them too~
Wauw !!!!!!
🙂
That is incredibly beautiful!
Oh, I am so glad you enjoyed Sagrada. Gaudi was simply amazing!
Amazing. Incredible what people can do when inspired. 🙂
Yes, and offers hope for the species!
Bon article, beau blog..bravo
bienvenue voir mes créations .
Merci beaucoup et je vais regarder votre blog.
I saw on TV recently too but I do not remember what show that it was on. It is an amazing piece of work!
It is! And he made so much more. All of it incredible.
Fantastic. Otherworldly…no good words to describe his work.
Exactly. You can feel it but you cannot describe it.
Oh, my! Awe-inspiring, Cindy. And I’m sure, as with everything photographed, the reality outstrips the capacity of a photo to show the vision. Thanks for sharing these!
So much so, yes! Just the cavernous size of the place alone, and every bit of it like a separate fantastic cathedral, impossible to capture in photos.
Such ample celebration in the last one, Cindy <3
Yes, it is something isn’t it!
<3
Stunning! What a creative genius. My only regret in Barcelona is not waiting to go inside!!!! Bad judgement call!
I don’t like lines either. Don’t feel bad, I often pass by visiting something if the lines and crowds are extreme. It can ruin the whole gestalt. If you go again, you can buy tickets online prior to leaving on your trip and this enables you to choose a time period and go to the head of the line. If you choose early morning there might be fewer people. You can do this at most major art museums and cathedrals all over the world.
Beautiful. They sure don’t make things like that anymore.
Yes, we are losing the art in architecture which is sad~
These r simply awesome pics Cindy..they provide such a sense of serenity and reverence…lovely to see and feel
I am so happy you can ‘feel’ the images my friend. It is an ability that not all people have~ <3
Great photos! Been there! Love Spain!
<3 <3
I try to remain open to spiritual energies..I have felt that way since I was a child..i swear, as I looked at each pic I could hear beautiful Gregorian chants being sung in my tiny ears😻🙏🏼
Oh how wonderful! <3
And I live Gregorian chant music
Oh, I love it too, passionately!
“I love..” I meant😳😣
Gregorian chant music is such great meditation music too😍
Yes, it connects directly to the core.
And ur spirit is just so unburdened when u listen to it–absolute peace and harmony…
<3
Gaudi, the artist, architect and designer reminds me of Michaelangelo with his connections from above, Cindy. <3 I so thoroughly enjoyed seeing these magnificent structures! Awesome and full of "wow!" 😀
Yes, these remarkable genius’s who connectus to something so much greater than ourselves. So happy you respond to this as I do Robin and cheers to you my friend~
More stunning photos, Cindy! What an amazing talent!
Yes. It is Amazing that he wasn’t initially overlooked because his creativity was unique and unusual. I give Spain a lot of credit for recognizing and championing him. I can’t imagine him ever being commissioned to build a cathedral in the US.
Stunning, Wonderful, Amazing pics. Thanks for sharing this beautiful pics, Cindy.
Ahhh, thank you much more for the very kind appreciation!
Great, great, great!
So happy you enjoyed and thank you!
The most amazing church I’ve been in. I went to see a tourist attraction– but left feeling I was really a place a worship. thank you for your gorgeous light filled photos Cindy. Wonderful to see it all again. xo
Oh what a beautiful and perfect description and the exact experiences I had here, ” I went to see a tourist attraction– but left feeling it was really a place a worship.”

Thank you so much more for coming with me! <3

They are unusual to see in stained glass aren’t they~
Thanks so much, Cindy, for sharing the scared visions of Gaudi. Your selection of photos really celebrate his mastery. I would like to see Gaudi’s work someday, but in the meantime, I thank you for this visit.
I am just happy we travel together! <3
The cathedral is one of the most beautiful and unique that I have ever been in Cindy. Thanks for the reminder. –Curt
I agree with you completely and you are most welcome Curt~
Simply awestruck! You did an incredible job capturing what surely must be uncatchable!
You are correct, it is un-capture-able. but thank you so much for approving the effort and cheers my friend!
Fabulous, I love Barcelona and your photos are so good it brings back memories, wish we had more time there than just one day.
Well, I am certaiin, in your long and distinguished opera career, you will have the opportunity to visit and sing there again! Sincere congratulations Ms. Graduate! Such a milestone for you and so well deserved! <3
Thank you Cindy, I’m singing for Scottish Opera this month then I’m off to Berlin for a month learning and performing as Frasquita in Carmen in a Fosse inspired performance. I’m brushing up my French and German at the same time. I’m very excited and trying to cram everything into my brain.
And so it begins! Enjoy every second my friend~ <3
Wonderful and beautiful photos!
So happy you enjoyed & cheers to you!
Reblogged this on penpowersong.
You are a lovely friend~

Thank you very much!
Those stained-glass windows look totally stunning!
Aren’t they creative and unique! I agree with you~
Marvellous!
So happy you think so!
WoW!!
Yes, Sagrada is a definite WOW experience!
Gaudi worked in 1903-07 together with Joaquín Torres García also on the Cathedral in Palma de Mallorca.
Garcia was son of a Catalan father and Uruguayan mother 🙂
Exquisite photos accompanied by perfect prose.
Awww, you are such a special friend Sheri. Be well my friend and cheers too~
