with amber waves of grain.
Fall is coming to West Glacier National Park.
The leaves are turning,
and although the days are still warm, the nights are quite crisp.
Tomorrow we head over the ‘Going to the Sun Road,’ across the continental divide, to East Glacier.
There is no internet in East Glacier so I will be out of touch for awhile, until we cross the border into Canada and Waterton Lakes National Park~
Until then, cheers to you from West Glacier
Safe trip!! Enjoy the beauty around you š
Safe journey … and thanks for taking us along. Love all the shades of green in the opening pic.
Stunning! ā¤ļø I haven’t seen that part of the U.S. And appreciate
Your shots from travels ā¤ļøš
Thank you so much and happy you enjoyed!
Have a great trip! Your photos are amazing!!!
Mil grazi!
Fall is so beautiful. Probably my favorite season. Have a wonderful trip!
Yes Fall & Spring, transitionary seasons that are fell of anticipatio. Cheers to you Carrie
Joyous journeyings !
Merci beaucoup mon ami!
Very pretty, but the tree stumps and new growth suggest a forest fire burned there some time ago.
Yes, extensive fires in 2003 and 2007, and one burning now for months!
Lovely photo’s Cindy and Welcome back to Canada! We were just in Calgary Alberta this weekend and loved seeing the mountains off in the distance. looks like a fire might have swept thru there some time ago and nature is in the process of renewing from the ashes. Gotta love what nature can do when left to her own devises.
Can’t wait to be in gorgeous Canada and yes a fire has been burning in Glacier for months now, althought it looks like rain is coming today!
We went up into Waterton N. P. too when we went to Glacier Nat’l Park, after Yellowstone N.P. All of it was beautiful then that first week of June in 2011 when we went, but was still cold and snow in Y.N.P. even. They had to close the ‘Road to the Sun’ in Glacier because of snow pack there, but got plenty of other stuff to see, including a boat ride on Lake McDonald by the L.M. Lodge we stayed in and hiked the trails. Have fun and enjoy. It is truly beautiful and awe inspiring to see what our own country has to offer in national parks and nature reserves.
Our national parks are so incredible. Today it is grey and cold for the first time. I had to buy a summer dress in Idaho because it was 87 degrees in Idaho and Glacier in mid-September, so I know how unpredictable the weather can be. You are doing the same trip we are in the reverse direction.
Enjoy the trip and lingering good weather. š
Enjoy your escape from writing but I imagine you will capture lovely images and beauty all around you, Cindy. Be safe, no bears, snakes or “Oh My’s!”
No snakes, yes thank you! But a few bears at a distance, oh yes! š š
Beautiful photos Cindy. Wish you a great and safe trip. Remember to enjoy š
Enjoying, cheers & hugs to you Irene~

Youre most welcome š
Oh dear… could I just put up a little hut or hide in a cave there without the INS finding about it? š
What a beautiful place!!!
You could easliy in the national forest that abuts the park and it is just as lovely!
Haha, just kidding, Cindy.. good to hear from you. But you know what? When I go anywhere, I don’t want to be an unwelcome guest, ever. So don’t worry about me putting up a shack there and ruining the beauty of that place š
They would be lucky to have you!
Fascinating landscapes – very well captured… š

I love the contrast of the colours, with the trees in the foreground and blue mountains behind. Can almost smell that pure air from here.
The pine air is simply intoxicating isn’t it, especially with the crisp, clean mountain air! Ahhhhhhh……….

Mother nature knows how to paint a landscape!
I love and miss the colours of Autumn and will enjoy them in your coming posts.

And basically anything mother nature creatures!! <3 <3 When we were entering Waterton in Canada, the ranger asked, "Why are you visiting Waterton?"
I said, "Because it's beautiful."

And to you in glorious Argentina. These landscapes reminded me of Patagonia! <3
Looks gorgeous… Happy Trails!
And now I am kicking it in your country once again. It is gorgeous in Waterton in the fall!
It sure is! š
<3
Hi Cindy ! It’s been too many years since I’ve seen that country and I’m so enjoying it again through your pics. Used to do a lot of trout fishing all over western Montana, more down in the central/southern reaches, but I really liked to travel up through Glacier, Waterton, Banff, and would do it again in a heartbeat but my travelin’ companion is terrified of mountain roads, especially if she can see over the guardrail how far up/down we are. If it could be summertime all year out there I’d live there. Soooooo beautifl ! Enjoy it to the fullest !! š
It is just absolutely glorious country with genuinely kind and helpful people. Plus there is huckleberry pie, and huckleberry ice cream! I am in huckleberry heaven! Hugs to you cuz! <3 <3
Beautiful scenery.
It is indeed!
And it sure is beautiful, a bit nostalgic for me to see those trees and landscape. Reminds me of my time in the U.S.
I hope happy memories Charly~
Yep, I decided to stick with the happy memories and completely discard the bad ones.
Magnificent park, Cindy, and your photos are so crisp and colorful, reflecting such beauty, and autumnal wonder. Thanks so much for bringing us along on your journey. Have fun!
You are a most excellent traveling companion! It wouldn’t be the same without you. <3

Such beauty!
Ours to enjoy for free, and protect!
Beautiful indeed š
We have so many problems, but we have such beauty. Like Haiti in different ways. But nature’s beauty is an international language.
That is true, there is no nationality when it come to natural beauties š
