Passion is natural…..Passion is okay. ( the root meaning of passion is suffering….and compassion is suffering together) 🙂
Yes, in that passion means strong feelings/attachment for something/someone and strong feelings often create suffering. Love for example, is both joyous and wonderful, and at the same time makes one prone to terrible suffering. Buddha of course addressed this beautifully. Interestingly the passionflower is named for the passion of Christ.
Beautiful to see your passionflowers and all the attendant bees! It’ll be a while before we’ll see bees again. Sad but true. 😉
I can well imagine you will miss the bees. When the passionflowers open, everyone in the garden masses on the flowers, ants, bees, hummingbirds, caterpillars. They are accurately named flowers since they create a lot of passion!

Oh yes, scads of it. Much more than can be consumed. So sorry you can’t grow them. There are lots of plants I can’t grow here either.

Awesome pics. How do you capture such detail? I can even see the bees’ eyes. What kind of camera do you use and telephoto lens? Do you do photo enhancement? Very professional looking.
Wow, thank you. I am a strict amateur, been taking photos for around three years. I use a sony HX300, with a telephoto goes up to 50x with wide angle around 1200mm.

Passion Flower is a unique plant, but it can be aggressive. You managed to capture some really super shots. Good for you. 🙂
If by agressive you mean it spreads rapidly and takes over other plants, that is fine at The Holler as the amount of space out here and difficulty many plants have taking hold, requires more tenacious species~
