    1. Yes, in that passion means strong feelings/attachment for something/someone and strong feelings often create suffering. Love for example, is both joyous and wonderful, and at the same time makes one prone to terrible suffering. Buddha of course addressed this beautifully. Interestingly the passionflower is named for the passion of Christ.

    1. I can well imagine you will miss the bees. When the passionflowers open, everyone in the garden masses on the flowers, ants, bees, hummingbirds, caterpillars. They are accurately named flowers since they create a lot of passion!

    1. They are aren’t they! Fascinating though and the insects are……well passionate about them! Reminds me of Hepburns quote in ‘The Lake’ remember, ““The calla lilies are in bloom again. Such a strange flower….” Dorothy Parker said Hepburn’s performance, showed the breath of emotion “from A to B.” God I love Parker. Passionate about her~ 😉

  1. The passion flower is so pretty, those gorgeous colours blow me away. Love that you captured the bees collecting the pollen.
    Fantastic photographs as always Cindy.

      1. She lived here and left? I just cannot fathom… Yes, it is gorgeous here and I can’t imagine being somewhere else willingly. 🙂 Enjoy your holiday! xx

  2. Liebe Cinda super Fotos und sogar mit Bienen toll so schön einen gemütlichen Sonntag und ein guten Start in die neue Woche wünsche ich dir Klaus in Freundschaft

  3. These are exquisite passion flower photos I’ve never seen! Thank you so so much for bringing beautiful flower and bee picture to us. We have had gray, gloomy, rainy… days, really can use more rain. 🙂

  4. I haven’t seen passion-fruit flowers since a child when I would go out to the vine and pull off a fruit and eat it right there. How I did it without a spoon I can’t remember but I did it! Thank you so much for the trip down memory lane with your gorgeous captures. 😉

  5. Awesome pics. How do you capture such detail? I can even see the bees’ eyes. What kind of camera do you use and telephoto lens? Do you do photo enhancement? Very professional looking.

  6. Good evening Cindy – I stand in awe of your artistry, both photographic and of words. Your combinations are beautiful… Thank you so much for sharing them with us…
    Have a wonderful evening
    Michael

  7. Wow, what an incredible series of photos…I love the insight into the tiny world of insects/flowers and beauty that we simply don’t see at time when we walk by in a rush. You have such a great eye for the details and incredible things that bring beauty into our lives. Cheers and wish you a great week Cindy!

    1. Ahhhh, I feel just the same about you. Blogging is a gift when it allows me to meet people like you my friend. We would never have looked at each others photos if it weren’t for the internet and we would have missed each others view of the world. I am grateful I have the chance to see the world through your extremely talented eyes~

      1. Isn’t is amazing the gift of the internet, and really WordPress for us and everyone to connect around the globe. Sometimes that thought is just overwhelming 🙂

    1. If by agressive you mean it spreads rapidly and takes over other plants, that is fine at The Holler as the amount of space out here and difficulty many plants have taking hold, requires more tenacious species~
