Birds of The Sea of Cortez~

(click/tap to enlarge)

Jacques Cousteau referred to The Sea of Cortez as the world’s aquarium,

which it clearly is,

empty, stunning, and full of wildlife.

The region is also,

home to a huge variety of birds,

including the formidable Harris Hawk,

comical,

peli- cans,

curious grackles,

and stunning,

frigate birds.

Cheers to you from all the birdies in The Sea of Cortez~

    1. The frigates do look like pterodactyls don’t they! Their silhouette’s are so similar. Amazing you thought of this! Stay safe & well and thanks much Gigi ﹏𓅸﹏𓅮

  2. My goodness, this is spectacular. Jacques Cousteau was right, and you captured it beautifully! Oh, that hawk! You are a master at photographing birds, Cindy.

    1. Thank you Resa for the beauty you create everyday. I read your comment on the gown and pondering your degree in knitting…….. VERY tempting! Stay safe & well my friend 𓅂

      1. Who spends 2 years in College to get a knitting (design and technology) degree?
Seems I have a penchant for the obscure.
I also have an honours degree in Fashion Design and Technology. This did not prepare me for the “garment industry” but did leave me with the idea that I too could be a Dior.

        Now, I make my gowns!
You stay safe too, Cindy! xo

  3. And a happy February to you my friend. How are your ‘twins doing?’. Ours (the nephews) turned 3 this month.

I hadn’t realized the female Redwing Blackbirdie wasn’t black. While I haven’t seen their nests, being close to the creek brings these cuties to my feeder. 🙂
