  1. When we moved from CA to Illinois many years ago, we took Interstate 40 and were treated by chance to the most amazing carpets of yellow and purple flowers!

  2. Which do you prefer — a sea landscape or a desert landscape? I’m a desert rat so I appreciate the stark beauty of a sea of gold, but I can gaze at the ocean and get lost in my thoughts. Then, of course, there’s the majestic beauty of towering mountains. Wide open spaces just have a certain feeling.

    1. Like you, I love all three. I asked my grandmother this question, because she lived both with mountain and ocean views, and she favored mountain. I like mountain and open space views, with minimal to no development დ

  3. How beautiful Cindy, and to think they bloom in such cold places. We get this carpeting of wildflowers in the western state after rain also. The color so brightens up the post Winter landscape. It reminds me of how temporary this beauty is but for a small window of season , and we must relish it while it is there in one’s mindful moment.

    1. Yes. Those precious “mindful moments” that photography is so good at helping us to appreciate. I am happy you experience this wonder too my friend დ

  4. Oh Cindy, those incredible mountains highlighted with a delightful yellow all around. I could get lost there…easily. Great pictures, thank you for sharing them…even if it is called Death Valley 🤗🥰🤣❤️🙏

Wow! The upper part in almost all of these is like a watercolour/ acrylic painting with white chalk on dark ground where the snow line is, and the wild flowers in the lower part in an abundance…
