It is really hard take an ugly photograph in Canada.

We came to see the leaves change,

and they are just starting.

We are in Alberta now,

heading tomorrow into the mountains where wifi will be spotty.

Will check in when the satellite enables, but until then, cheers to you from geraniums growing in the middle of a river!

Beautiful wilderness!! Lucky you to witness the turn of the season in such a lovely place. 🙂 Love the unusual flower pot and location. 🙂
It’s gorgeous wilderness combined with such a creative tree trunk/flower pot. Nature is forever inventing new thing: I loved it, too!
Nature loves surprises and I love nature!! დ
Grazie mille Eliza დ
“We came to see the leaves change” the best reason for travelling to Canada . Enjoy !
Smiling!! Thank you so much დ
I guess you’re right about photos and Canada and the Canadian wilderness.
Yes! Agreed. It is really hard to match the scenery of Canada დ
Haha, those geraniums are so out of place, but amaze for their tenacity to just be themselves anyway Cindy 🤣 And Canada is a beautiful country, and with the Autumn change she will bloom even more. Great share kind lady 😀❤️🙏🏽
You are so welcome Mark. Your thoughtful words made me smile. Take good care my friend დ
Living in Alberta – close to Banff – I have admit it is a beautiful place to photograph!!
You lucky ducky! It is a spectacular place period. It presents an unfair advantage for photographers!! 😉
❤️
A beautiful place and marvellous photography!
Honored. Thank you very much & cheers to you დ
You’re very welcome Cindy.
So beautiful. I miss the fall foliage in New England! So I’m looking forward to seeing more of Canada!
I have seen New England in the fall. My parents lived in New Hampshire. Stunning. I am happy you are traveling with me Kathy. You will make the trip better! Although I may be out of wifi range for a while. I’ll catch up with you when I can დ
Beautiful as well as funny, the oddly placed geraniums suggest there may be a good story about how they got there.
If we don’t find out, we can always make one up!! 😉 😉
The water is like glass! 🙂
I love glassy, reflective, clean bodies of water and Canada has them everywhere! დ
Gorgeous! My neck of the woods, so I’m biased. 🙂
You are lucky. Hubby keeps saying, “Why didn’t we retire here?” We wanted to, but we had family to think of დ
Welcome to Canada. Alberta is great but if you want to see incredible leaf colours, come to the Ottawa Valley and northern Ontario. Another two weeks and it will be awesome.
Gorgeous part of the country but I missed it in the fall. I have been to Quebec in the fall, in the forest, and Nova Scotia, and fell in love. We were due to return, had a cabin rented, and covid hit დ
Bon voyage. These photos are lovely. ♥.
Merci beaucoup mon Ami Niki დ
Of course, there is no way I cannot agree with you re Canada 🙂 It is a tad early for the changing of the leaves but still. heading up to the mountains sounds divine. I’ve not been in way too long.
Love those flowers in the middle of the stream!
Making your way East? 🙂
We are heading due north tomorrow. Canada is spectacular დ
Sweet. It is (totally biased…)
Welcome ‘Home” Canada loves you!!! we’ve missed you… xxxxo
Oh how I have missed Canada, and now I have finally timed it right for the leaves!! They are turning before my eyes. Thanks so much my friend & cheers to you დ
I love your first thoughts, Cindy, Canada is always very beautiful! Be safe. 👍🏻🇨🇦
Thanks John. I am enjoying your photos as well დ
Thank you! ☺️
Beautiful, Cindy.
Merci beaucoup mon Ami დ
Wow, Cindy – these photos are, indeed, gorgeous!
I’ve never been to Alberta and never even imagined how beautiful it could be. I live vicariously through your travels, my friend. Thank you for taking me with you. Safe journeys.
Thank you Sheila and I am so glad you will be traveling with me. You will make the trip much better დ
Wonderful photos, Cindy. Everything looks so cool and fresh and clean.
Grazie mille. You described Canada perfectly. Switzerland feels like this too დ
Yes, except when I was in Switzerland I noticed that the smell of fertilizer was SO prominent.
Maybe fresh manure from all those happy Swiss cows! 😉
Yes, I think so.
Beautiful shots of the wilderness…and how wild is it those geraniums are in the wild like that. Been to Canada twice but they were urban visits. Nothing like this. This country definitely deserves another visit!
Thank you very much! I do hope you visit again. Canada is huge and there are so many different and amazing ecosystems to see დ
Gorgeous views, Cindy, enjoy! Autumn may have touched us here in Nine Mile Falls, WA!
It is definitely falling. Enjoy my friend დ
Welcome to Canada again, Cindy! I hope you have a great time. Those geraniums are a nice surprise.
Thank you Audrey! The geraniums were quite the sight! დ
Love the photo of the geraniums. Amazing how nature finds a way!
Yes! This was more surprising than trees growing out of solid rock დ
You’re right about the beautiful country up there. Oh, those blue mountains in the background!
They are sooooo stunning. The views from the plane were spectacular. No cloud cover once we cleared the smoke covering all of the western US დ
Lovely scenery, including the geranium in the tree trunk in the middle of the river. I hope you dried off after planting it. 🙂
Laughing!!! Hilarious. That would be really going to great lengths for a photo op! დ
Never underestimate the ambition of a photographer. 😀
Very True!
O, Canada! Beautiful.
Amen! My husband keeps saying. “Why didn’t we retire here?” Little things like family are the reason…. დ
We’d like to do the same but there is a long wait for citizenship.
I didn’t know that….
So beautiful.
Yes. Thank you. Canada is such დ
Beautiful photos, as usual! I love the Canadian woods.
Thank you. I do too! დ
This is the most beautiful time to visit Alberta. Have a wonderful journey, Cindy.
Yes. I timed it carefully. The larches are turning! Gorgeous დ
Ahhhh! Thank you for sharing photos of my home country since I can’t be there myself, Cindy! 🧡🍁💛
Such beauty Teresa დდ
If you came up to view the colour of the fall leaves Cindy you are in the wrong province! I lived in Alberta for years. The only colours they are get are yellow.
You want to go over to Ontario or Quebec where they have Maples in abundance!
I have been to Quebec in the fall in a cabin alone in the woods. Nova Scotia too. It was so lovely. We rebooked when covid hit. I adore the golden yellows of larches and aspens here, with bits of red for contrast. It is truly gorgeous. დ
Most of my relatives live in Alberta.and British Columbia..great images.
Anita
They are lucky, and so are you, you can visit them! 😉 დ
Absolutely 😊
Yuck. All that beauty. Just yuck. (Grin)
OMG you’re in Canada! Are you coming to Vancouver? Would love to meet in real life 🤗
Alison
Awesome place and great photos.
Truly beautiful.
Amazing view!
Thank you for taking us in.
I feel like we are traveling together with these nicely taken photos😁💪
Oh, happy holiday! And keep ’em coming, those photos, please.
I’ve never been to Canada, but have come close in Vermont and New Hampshire where the scenery is similar and have to agree…it’s hard to make a bad picture. Enjoy your time there.
What beautiful images, Cindy.
Absolutely sensational Cindy, you always take such wonderful photos wherever you are
If you want an ugly one you will just have to try harder
What beautiful, romantic, peaceful landscapes! And such fine pictures!
Stay safe, dear Cindy!
Funny where flowers find a spot to grow. You are right Canada is so beautiful, you cannot take an ugly picture. ❤️
Enjoy Canada and your leaf peeping Cindy!
Canada is beautiful for sure. What a great find with the geraniums.
From Maui to Canada – what a change of scenery! But this time of year, Canada is gorgeous – except for the black flies and mosquitoes!
What a gorgeous landscape, Cindy, and an excellent shot in the last picture. I’m looking forward to more.
Your photos took my breath away. It may be hard to take an ugly photo in Canda, but yours are stunning! Enjoy the changing leave and safe travels.
Yay! So happy you are here taking gorgeous photos of our spectacular country! Have fun!!!!
