Thank you. You and I both. My grandfather who came from Bulgaria created the most amazing cactus garden in SoCal, that was featured in Architectual Digest, among others. For him cacti were quite exotic, and he graphed them and grew varities I have never seen since. He wasn’t a gardener. He was a judge. I learned everything about plants from him დ

Oh, splendid, Cindy! I love cacti in bloom. Mine have done pretty well. (I have the opposite of a green thumb.) Except the prickly pears. Unlike your gorgeous ones, for some reason that variety just doesn’t grow in my garden. Doubly odd since they are so common here.

You have some amazing prickly pears. My husband loves them but I will not grow them at Navasola. Too prickly and not of our region. But there are two in pots at the moment!

Oooh! So much prickly loveliness to enjoy🤩They’re amazing plants 🪴 in how amongst all that prickliness (oucheee!!🌵)they still produce such a range of colourful flowerings 💐 😀
Sometimes dogs get injured on cacti, but Wolfie, of course would be far too smart for that! დ
Wolfie has seen far too many dog muzzles full of prickly things from too much canine curiosity, to get caught pit that way!😁
He is such a smart Wolfie and I have wolfie pics for him!!!
