Herbert at The Holler~

Herbert the cat,

is quite content in quarantine.

He watches the Holler burst in bloom! Rock Roses show off.

Bearded Iris,

and Matijila Poppies,

reach for the sky.

Cactus flowers are everywhere,

while Mexican Evening Primrose blanket the slopes.

Southern California Wild Grape vines are producing bumper crops.

Cheers to you from The Blooming Holler~

  1. Nature seems exceptionally lovely this year, doesn’t it, Cindy? Perhaps that’s because we’ve been forced to SLOW down and that way, we can enjoy it more!

    1. Yes it does and I think you are right. I wonder how many people have now realized how content they can be when left to their own devices. I wonder how many will want to keep working remotely.

  2. You’re a beautiful boy, Herbert and the flowers in your garden are marvellous😸Pawkisses for a Happy Thursday to you all. Stay Safe Healthy and Yourselfie🙏🐾😽💞

  3. Herbert is so handsome! I’m glad he doesn’t mind being indoors. It’s cold up here and very wet. Watching rain is a favorite pastime. All the flowers look quite happy. Keep staying well. Hugs.

  4. Herbert reminds me of our Matti, a tricolor tabby. The shelter where we got her had named her Cinnamon. She is old and gentle, and limps on an arthritic front leg – so she fits right in here with us! Your blooms are terrific; I always marvel at what cacti can produce! Blessings to you and yours in these strange days.

    1. Ahhh, so wonderful to hear from you Peter. I have been thinking about you and Marion. Your kitty sounds kind, just like her family! I hope you are still enjoying your sojourns at the beach. Stay safe the three of you and cheers to all of you too. Blessings დ

  5. I absolutely Love this! You bring so much beauty to our world with your blogs and photos and writing in them. Thank you! I am catching up on reading some of the blogs of my friends and fellow followers. hugs and have a great day!

  6. That’s a very handsome cat, Herbert. I like how the fur around his face looks like a little mane that makes him look like a mini lion :-). The petals of the flowers here especially the poppies look very delicate and beautiful. Cheers to you, Cindy!

  7. Shhh! I haven’t told the two divas that they are in quarantine. They would hardly realize the difference as they are indoor femmes.
Cindy, your photos are always so gorgeous. It makes me think what you would produce here from September to April when the flamingos take over… xxx

    1. DON’t Even Tell me this! I already know how much I want to photograph them! Maybe someday I will. Who knows. You can take me to them. Love to you Lea დ

      1. Every time I see them, I think of you and your photos. WOW! I won’t say another word about it… Love you Cindy. ❤

While you are at it, perhaps you might catch a few seagulls in your scope? If I have a favorite bird, it must be them as they won’t lie to me. I know when I see or hear them that the ocean isn’t far away.

  8. Herbert is gorgeous! The flowers are so colorful. When we were in Arizona, the flowers in the desert were in bloom and it was stunning. Of all the times we were there, we only saw the desert in bloom once.

    1. Yes. Seeing the desert in bloom varies from year to year, but it is always hope in adversity, growing, hence magnificent. But sometimes, it is mind boggling. This is best year I have ever seen, and I have seen a lot. The copious rains wake the flowers. They are still awake now which is unusual. დ
