The eastern coast of Tasmania is wild,

rugged,

isolated,

and stunning.

Steep cliffs colored fire-red and orange,

plunge vertically,

into The Tasman Sea.

Cheers to you from wild and beautiful Tasmania~

You hardly need yet another comment, but I have to say that Tasmania suggests to me the wonderful novel adjective “tasmaniacal” to suggest the wild and wooly beauty that you document so well in these photographs. Returning your cheers!
Oh, Tasmaniacal is a new fabulous word!! I love new words and the people who invent them! ۵
Wow! I love the colors of the rocks!
Aren’t they amazing! ۵
Wow! I’ve never seen any pics of this area. It’s gorgeous.
Your shots are amazing. Were you on a boat? ❦
Yes, and it was raining, but the rain seemed to make the colors in the rocks pop! ۵
Ah… directors call that a wet down.
Directors always want wet downs, but rarely get them. They cost a lot of $$$$$!
So interesting! I have photographed this before. Colors burst forth in the rain and filtered light, especially in rock. დ
… City cement is a rock, of sorts! Love this!
დ დ
Wow! What an amazing, wild place! Is this where you’ve been spending lockdown??
Now. I am tucked into The Holler growing fruit and vegetables. This is where I had to leave from before the lockdown. დ
Stunning landscape! Just love the orange tones.
Even on the greyest rainiest day the colors just burst forth, even more so than in the sunshine! დ
These are very beautiful rocks! Love the bright colour!
All this beauty for us to look upon! დ
I have not seen this! Stunning! I went to Tas once when I was 7 yrs old to visit my aunt who lived there at the time.
Alison
It is such an amazing place. I was there once before. The more you see, the more you know what you are missing. დ
Breathtaking view 😍
Grazie mille Gottfried!
Amazing pictures.
Thank you & cheers to you!
Amazing photos.
I wish things to get back normal so that people would soon begin planning their vacations. 🙂
Thanks for sharing.
Yes. I am not happy cancelling trips that were months in planning.
I’ve only been across to Tassie once, but its beauty has stayed with me ever since. And that’s over 40 years! Fabulous pics.
I hear you. I have only been twice and it is not nearly enough!
Have you been up the west coast? When I was last there, the area around Queenstown was like a moonscape, but I’ve heard that much of it has been reclaimed.
I definitely have not been to the west coast. This is the thing about Australia. It is so big and so amazing, and so full of everything I love most about wildlife, and I have barely seen any of it.
Yeah, it is pretty spectacular. 🙂
Reblogged this on Echoes in the Mist.
Thank you Sharon for all the good you do! <3
Nice. The lichen gives the cliffs an exotic look.
It is quite unique isn’t it!
Stunning landscape! Beautiful rocks! of Tasmania sea. Thanks, Cindy.
Thank you Isabel! I am very happy you enjoyed & cheers to you!

Merci beaucoup mon ami!
This is gorgeous; visually stunning.
What kind of camera do you use? I’m getting the itch to study about an upgrade. 🙂
Thanks so much. I shot these with sony’s, rx 10×4 and hx400.
The colours in that rock! I’d never seen that before. You were able to capture their vibrant beauty.
Thank you very much. It was raining, misting and overcast, not good for photos, but water works wonders on rocks. It brings out the color, as if they were waiting to be freed. დ
These photos are fantastic! A childhood friend of mine was born in Tasmania and now I know what part of it looks like…
Thank you. I haven’t even seen most of Tasmania. Everything I have seen is beyond superlative. დ
And otherworldly…
Yes! დ
Beautiful!
Yes, Tasmania is John. Thank you. დ

Yes! Thank you. Wild, isolated places have always been so appealing to me.
Brutal and beautiful, Cindy! 😊
Oh, thank you so much my friend. I hope you are safe and well დ
Staying senior safe, lol! Only gets a little bad when it’s too hot to go walking, or now, with the relaxed measures, the Austin traffic gearing up, lol! Stay well, Cindy! ❤️
Breath taking landscape. ❤
Those are great rocks, Cindy. The red of the desert Southwest with an ocean. 🙂 –Curt
Exactly what I thought. I also saw rocks like this in caves in Chile in the ocean. Gorgeous დ
Mix a little iron oxide into sandstone and Voila!
Yeah, and the voila is pretty freaking amazing isn’t it!
Absolutely! 🙂

OK, Cuz. So much for a big pile of pretty rocks…, what happened to the Tasmanian Devil…, or was he hiding in the rocks ??? Are y’all safely ensconced and safe in “the holler”? Be well ……xo
Yes, we are hiding in The Holler and growing veggies and picking fruit. We saw the Tasmanian Devil in a nature preserve. He just looked cute to me! Stay safe and well cuz დ

Happiness is a warm puppy and a wet rock. 🙂
Oh, I do so completely agree! Laughing…. Thank you!
Is that Binalong Bay or The Bay of Fires? Didn’t make the east coast as ended up going up Mts Wellington and Nelson on a spectacularly clear day in Hobart. Only made it to Maria Island, but no further north.
We were in Binalong Bay and Bay of Fires, but these photos were taken around the Freycinet Peninsula and Freycinet National Park. Although I did take photos all along the eastern coast. Mostly rained, but it couldn’t stop the continuous infusion of beauty.
Thanks for responding. We didn’t get that far north. DDidn’t reach Wineglass Bay. Have done some paintings of the red rocks.
I would love to see your paintings! It is such a spectacular place დ
Have just put some on in a new post for you
Lovely! დ

Those two words are the same! Thank you დ
truly amazing pics. wish i was there.
I do too. Let’s beam over now! დ
if i could, i surely would! there’s a place in ireland which has the same shape as that you find in your pics. it’s called giant’s causeway. but the cut stones there are way too small compared to the ones you photographed. truly amazing!
Yes! I saw The Giants Causeway, and the basalt columns. Such a gorgeous part of Ireland.
Incredible! Magnificent photos – you’ve really shown off these striking colors.
You are very kind. Thank you sincerely დ
Most beautiful
Haven’t been to tazzy yet.. looks beautifully rugged. Any particular season to go in?
