I found Bambi grazing on a lawn in Washington state!

He was surrounded by very watchful adults.

The adults were a bit wary of humans,

but Bambi was pure curiosity!

This adult had a massive yet cleanly healed scar that transversed her right side and formed a y flap crossing over her shoulder. This was a major injury that cut through lots of muscle. I wonder if a good samaritan veterinarian stitched her up?

Cheers to you from the peaceful, and very dear-deer~

They are so cute.
Merci beaucoup mon ami <3
De rien. 😊
Such beautiful creatures. How can anyone kill them?
For fun? I don’t want to understand. You can have all the fun with camera and not hurt any creature.
So lovely! Hope they are safe on the roads there.
Thanks my friend and yes, it is a risk.
Beautiful animals.
Very happy you think so & cheers~
Aw, the poor dear! I wonder if she tangled with an auto or a wild critter? We’re all glad you had a camera with you to capture these beautiful animals, Cindy!
I am so much more glad you love them and thank you Debbie <3

Living in the woods, with plenty of white-tail deer, I just see our dallies and purple coneflowers getting dead-headed each morning by the local deer grazing along the driveway. – Oscar
I know, it is the same here with creatures eating my vegetables, but there is also the compensatory joy of their wild presence <3
This is adorable!
They are just that! Thank you & cheers~
🙂 Same to you!

🙂
Beautiful captures of the Deer 🙂
Grazie mille~
He is so adorable. Loved this.
I <3 people who <3 deer!
Oh, so cute! 🙂
They are sweet creatures <3
Great shots! Interesting to see how different your deer are from ours in Texas – yours have much thicker coats and coloring is different. At least Bambi’s mom recovered from her injury.
Grazie mille! The colder climate would explain the differences in the coats and yes, some good person helped the deer to survive.
Bambi….she is eating the grass lf the neighbours!
When she started eating the neighbors vegetable garden, I had words with her, but she didn’t seem to speak English…..
weird Bambi….
<3
I’m crazy about all animals, but deer have to be one of my absolute favorites. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photographs!

Thanks, Cindy! You are so incredibly cool! If it were not for you, and your consistent feedback to my posts, I probably would not be still posting. Bless you for your encouragement and for inspiring everyone you touch with your beautiful photography and inspirations. Namaste.

I love watching deer. I know that a lot of people hate them because they nibble on their gardens, but seeing a deer always lifts my spirit.
They lift my spirits too. They are graceful, peaceful and curious creatures.
Stunning pictures of some stunning creatures!

All is well here & cheers to you <3
Beautiful shots! And a great eye to notice that injury mark!!
Pretty serious, but now completely healed.
A most enjoyable visit with the dear deer, Cindy. I’ve never seen a deer with a scar, how fortunate for the deer to have been taken care of. Great photos and a joy to be here.
Awwww, so happy yous stopped by my friend and have a wonderful weekend <3
So cute! Lovely photos.
Thanks much & cheers to you~
Aren’t they beautiful? When we lived in the country, I’d see them all the time. Yet every single time was like opening a gift. Always gasps and smiles and if I wasn’t on the way to work, I could sit and watch them for a while. Besides that scar, they look healthy too. What a blessing have them be part of your day. x K
I <3 people who <3 deer, like you dear <3 Be well my friend.

My Featured Blogger this week is Cindy Knoke, a former psychotherapist who packed everything up and moved to a rural (think “wild”) location she calls “The Holler.”
Cindy now traipses local and foreign vistas, taking spectacular photos of better adapted creatures than many of her former clients, as well as images of breathtaking vistas and charming towns. She regularly posts these online, along with her reveries and thoughtful insights. (There is quite a collection of her work at National Geographic’s Your Shot site, as well.)
I’m hardly the first person to recommend Cindy (she has a BIG following), but I gladly add my voice to the list!
Such a thoughtful, kind and wonderful gift from you Mitch. I am deeply touched. I have already met some of your friends who have stopped over to say Hello. You, are they, are a blessing to me. Thank you my friend & be well <3
Interesting to see how the one who had been badly injured was so protective of the innocent and inexperienced one. I’ve seen a few parallels to that situation in my own life…
Oh, I didn’t think of this, but now that you mention it, yes. It makes perfect sense. Thank you & lovely to meet you <3
These are GREAT images.
Mitch Teemly @ https://mitchteemley.com/2019/06/26/dear/ directed his readers to your site. It’s amazing work!! Deer are such an endearing animal; so peaceful. When I see them here, it just reminds me – there is peace. Thanks so much!
So incredible of Mitch to do this! I am truly touched by his kindness, and yours for stopping by and sharing such thoughtful comments with you. Bless you & Bless Mitch <3
On this humid bustling day, these pictures still the world.

devant moi la réalité, derrière moi un passé
Chaque jour, je fais les mêmes gestes
Les mêmes mouvements

Merci beaucoup mon ami.
Gorgeous photos. I feel in love with every flower.
I love your kind words <3
Such perfect photos of a moment of peace and tranquility. It does hurt my heart to know they are in danger every moment. I hope whoever patched that sweet fellow up knows how much it was appreciated. I saw deer wandering yards in Boulder, CO several years ago. They almost looked like statues resting on the lawns. Thanks for sharing this lovely family moment.
I know how you feel. <3
There are so many kind people doing good stuff everyday, like the veterinarian or tech, who saved this deer.
I think the media needs to balance horribleness with beauty, otherwise we will all be frozen by helplessness.
I agree. I don’t watch the news much anymore. I will record it and watch in fast forward with the sound off till I get to something good or relevant. There are lots of people doing good but they don’t make the news. Balance ‘is’ the keyword as you said.
