Great reflections, Cindy. Have you ever tried cropping in tighter and turning the image upside down? I did this once and really liked the impressionistic feeling to the tree.
I did turn them upside down and the rippling effect in the water-sky was fascinating. I thought when I flipped them it would look like a regular photo. The rippling effect was much more confusing to the human eye that the mirrored upside-down reflections. Interesting, I agree with you Emilio.
I love this! I just saw all of your hawk pictures! how did I miss them I don’t know! My daughter and I keep seeing hawks over our field and so I went to your photos! amazing!!!
Hawks are truly magnificent creatures. I will never be able to watch them enough. I am glad you and your daughter have some to observe. The hawks will know you and after awhile accept you as part of their ecosystem. They like all creatures will be curious when you do unexpected things. Enjoy!

No they have territories and often use the same nest year after year, so your hawks are getting to know you!

I thought the exact same thing until I did turn them around and noticed a slight rippling in the “sky!” 😮

The pond is in Anza Borrego Desert State Park, which is an extensive desert about a two hour drive from The Holler.

They are all the same pond system in Anza Borrego Desert State Park, but you are right they had different vegetation growing around different ponds.
