  1. Gorgeous photographs, Cindy!
    Beautifully enhanced by those
    amazing quotes!

Lydia Marie Child is also credited with saying:
“You find yourself refreshed by the presence of cheerful people. Why not make an honest effort to confer that pleasure on others? Half the battle is gained if you never allow yourself to say anything gloomy.”
    One of my favourite quotes!

  2. Absolutely that these gorgeous pictures brighten my day. Sometimes, I am wonder what the purpose for us to see the beauty in these flowers. We are not insects that help them continue their existence but perhaps we do.

  3. Absolutely beautiful. Where did beige coloring come from on the rose? That is so unusual. Thank you for the visit and the like of my Weekly Photo Challenge post “Carefree”.

      1. This is just your inner critic. We all have such, which is why we need other people’s opinions to counter it. Tell your inner critic to be quiet and keep posting. We’ll silence the critic for you!

  4. I am following you over from SK Nichols posting, Cindy. Your pairings of flowers and quotes are lovely. I like to pair photos with nostalgic reflections on my Mennonite girlhood on my blog. You are welcome to visit anytime.

  5. These are gorgeous, Cindy. I’m such a lover of quotes too, as you know–that quote from The Buddha is one of my favorites! They were powerfully combined with the flowers, great work. Have a fabulous weekend, Christy

  6. On my list of things to do is take some of the floral photos I’ve taken in my travels and make some 5 x7’s or 8×10’s and make a wall of flowers in my dining room.

I also enjoyed the quotes. Cheers!

  7. Lovely Cindy! However, you know me and quotes. This one just seems to belong. If not, please forgive the impulse. 🙂

    1. Oh yes it belongs!! One of my favorites. The only reason I didn’t use it is that I used it in a prior flower post! Thank you. We certainly are on the same page~

  8. Cindy–what a SPLASH! I swear I can practically small this awesome post–that beige rose is particularly amazing to me–and guess what! We are on a flower wavelength, today…so ahem: I am going to pingback to my silly animation! Whee!! 🙂

  11. Gorgeous photos as always, Cindy! That tan-brown colour on the roses in the fifth and sixth photos, wow that’s stunning because it’s an unusual colour for flowers to me.
