Sanderlings~

(click/tap, twice if needed, to enlarge)

In La Jolla California,

are busy-bee birds,

always searching,

for the finest seafood.

But, like all true foodies,

after a good meal,

they need a good siesta!

Cheers to you,

from the tiny, mighty Sanderlings~

  1. I’ve never heard of a sanderling — what darling, little birdies! Thank you for introducing them to me. All those sandy beaches make me long to see similar scenery rather than empty fields and mud!

  2. These photos make me happy along with your fun commentary! To cute sanderlings, fine seafood dining, and beautiful beaches for all to enjoy! Cheers my friend. 😍

    1. The thing I love about lots of little bird species is how frenetically busy-bee-birds they are, until they suddenly conk-out. Hummingbirds are the best at this. When they sleep, they essentially hibernate, and they have to or they will die. But then they wake up, another frenetic busy-bird day begins 😉 😉

    1. Thank you much more for your very kind appreciation my friend and cheers. I apologize for my late response, but the WP Reader sometimes misses comments and I have to go search for them. I am most glad I found you! დდ
