  1. OK Cindy, confess, you dress up like a big old pile of yummy seeds to attract their rapt attention? However you do, birds do like you. (Me too) Read a book once how some folk walk through trees, what birds?, they say. But they move like a wheelbarrow of bricks. Birds long seen & heard, left or gone quiet. Takes a knack to move like you’re no threat, just making passing friends. That charm seems yours. Beautiful.

    1. So kind and thoughtful of you Neil and so appreciated too. I love birds and they do perhaps sense it as they are very smart creatures. Take good care my friend and thank you very much დ

    1. They are a treat especially since they only started showing up here this year. Now there are lots and I am happy! There are three types in the US. Happy you have them to enjoy დ

  2. I saw some Goldies in spring. Not sure where they went. I’ve got purple finches, and red Cardnials and Blue Jays… and of course Black birds!! 🙂

          1. Thank you for a great article. I’m not a scientist and find technical articles difficult to read (I get bored easily😂) but this article was very well written for a layman such as myself. I guess there’s an exception to every rule and wouldn’t you know that Darwin would break it all down for us. Thank you, Cindy.

  3. Oh so wonderful to enjoy intimacy with the goldfinches here, Cindy. You did a great job of capturing that special lemony element that I love so about goldfinches.
