Birds seem to always understand us.

What amazing eyes! Yes, very knowing birds with lots of expression.
It is so striking to me how often wild creatures seem to make direct eye contact, from grizzly bears, to whales, to birds. They look into the camera lens and it feels as if they are looking into me. It is something special to experience დ
Yes, my artist friend and I have talked about this and the need to draw some living engagement that animals have within their gaze.
