I can, and you most certainly can.
Jim is right here, you see him, with the map, he always finds where are going.
I just tend to follow the critters,
they always take me where I want to be.
And thank you! It is so much better when you come along,
because pleasure shared is doubled.
We are still home at The Holler, but it’s cheers to you from Koper Slovenia~
The pup with the sunglasses is priceless! Thanks for another lovely trip ❤️
You are an awesome travel companion my friend~
This really is delightful, Cindy. Hugs
Merci beaucoup mon ami! <3
Very unusual picture this time. Thank you for the smile!

🐕🐕
😀
Looks like such a fun and exciting place to visit. I love the pictures of the old architectural buildings and the charm of the dogs and beauty of the flowers. And all is good, too , in between. 🙂 Cheers, Cindy.
Awww, what a lovely comment from a lovely friend~ <3
!!! Brilliant intro, title and photos, Cindy! Great 4legged models too! 😉
Awww, thank you. These doggies should rule the catwalks! 😉
Indeed!!!! 🙂
🐶
I’m on my way… 🙂 It is now on the list. 🙂
You are going to be busy! <3
Absolutely! 🙂 Aren’t you? <3
Busy a little differently now….
And I bet we shall reap the rewards, at least some…? 🙂 <3
Nice photos, Cindy. 🙂
Merci beaucoup Ranu~
I just love discovering the world through your eyes.
And I love sharing with you Nadia~ <3
What a pleasant walk in this beautiful town. Thank you for touring us at Koper, Cindy! 🙂
Thank you for coming along and happy Sunday Amy~ <3
The flowers there are amazing. Do I see peonies? If they are, they so big!!!
Good observation! The peonies killed me. We can’t grow them at The Holler and these were still in bud! Huge and entirely flawless~ 💮
Gorgeous photos…lovely way to start the day.
Awww, so glad! Thank you~ 💮
Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos, Cindy. The last photograph is stunning!
These little less traveled medieval coastal towns are truly special. I am glad you enjoyed~
Those dogs are way cool!!! Cheers on a beautiful Sunday from Seattle 🙂
Yay, sunny in Seattle, photo taking time! Wish I was there~ 🐶
Lovely photographs as always, Cindy.
Most appreciated & cheers to you! 🐶
Love the dog with the pink specs. 🙂
That dogable has it made in his shades~ 🐶
Well thank you Cindy. Now I need to go and visit Koper as well. I ordered three extra lifes already and I just placed an order for two more. Mind you, they are not cheap! But hey, one can’t go without having seen the beauties of the world.
Laughing, and the more you see, the more you realize you haven’t seen!
That is true! Alas. It’s a lesson in trying to understand time, priorities, love and mortality. Hmmm… looks like life itself 🙂
You just sorta summarized life and death here. Impressive~
Even the dogs look to be terracotta!
Yes, they definitely were coordinated! 😉 🐶
Thanks for the smiles, Cindy 🙂
Looked like a good tour.
The 🐶🐶 were excellent tour guides!
Enchanting … and funny! What a great share Cindy 💛
Awww, you are a lovely friend Val~ <3
Wonderful pictures!! Love the dogs and the old buildings. Love travelling with you to places I haven’t been to.
You are awesome to travel with Darlene and make the experience better!
Cindy, this looks like it was a great trip! Beautiful photos; I especially love the dogs. 🙂
Dogs are adogable! <3 🐕
Lovely photos and captions to match Cindy.
Very happy you enjoyed & cheers to you!
Such a beautiful region. Thanks for the tour !
This region is especially wonderful because the towns are relatively untouristed so you get a truer sense of the ebb and flow of life in these old, amazing towns~
You see the most beautiful places! I love the dogs! So cool! Hugz Lisa and new Lucy girl
Lucy is a beauty and Bear is smiling down on you both from 🐕🐕🐕 heaven! <3
I hope he is dancing on the clouds for mama

What a lovely place – the clock tower, the amazing old buildings, and the views. Thanks for taking me along, Cindy. ♥♥♥
Thank you more for coming with my friend, you make the experience so much better~ <3
I’ve always heard great things about Slovenia. It’s beautiful and I like their dogs. 😉
Exactly! 🐕🐕🐕 are the best international ambassadors!
Beautiful Cindy, while looking at your pictures, the architecture came to my mind, the streets, facades of the building, the saying, “If Walls & Streets Could Talk” ! When you think of the generations of peoples that have traveled the streets, looked at the same buildings you shot, and the many many lives of those people that traversed those same places looking at those same building over the hundreds of years or more. What the walls and streets could tell us of the peoples past. I also have to say how beautiful your flower picture is!
You do so well at capturing a feeling and a mood in your photography, it is always a pleasure to come to your site. 🙂
Your comment was so very kind. Thank you for your thoughtful sensitivity. The bell tower in that photo was originally constructed in the 12th century. We climbed it and looked at the view people were enjoying 900 years ago. It’s just mind boggling isn’t it, and so comforting to sense we are all connected, past and present, in a continuous line of art, architecture, and human experience.
Thank you your perceptiveness.
Ha ha. We had a Westie that would fetch his own leash for a walk. All my maps have a point that says ‘you are here’, I just can’t always find it.
Tee hee hee! I don’t know what I want to morph more on, your Westie, who I remember via your posts, and just the pure joy of a loved dog taking itself for a walk, all that cocky joy, the ultimate international language!
Or, how how one knows, where is ” You are here.”
I really have always wished, even though I didn’t know it until now, that someone could tell me, “You are here,” so I would know.
Laughing….
You are a smart man and fun to talk too~
Thank you. And you are kind, as evidenced by the number of people who talk to YOU.
There are so many beautiful places on this planet we call home 🙂
Yes! And we share it and most all of us are so wonderful. <3
You captured me with the first dog and kept me with the second. 😉 You can keep the castles, I’ll follow the dogs too. 🙂 Loved this, thanks.
Yep, I know, we got each other from the get go. This is my biggest joy in blogging. Meeting people like you, who I otherwise would never have an opportunity to meet. <3
Wonderful!
Thank you!
Great views! We ended up at the Slovenian border ponce when we were driving around Austria. Couldn’t enter – we didn’t have our passports!
Wow, they actually asked for them? I probably wouldn’t have them either!
A dog is a lovely escort.☺ Thanks for the lovely trip. 🐶
Yes, a dog is a wonderful creature, all creatures are, and thank you more for coming along~
Wonderful scenery Cindy but, OH, I love those pink sunnies on the dog. Hugs! 😀
That doggie takes his owners for walks while he rests! Smart doggie~ 🐕
That opening shot of the dog is a beauty. And Don is just like Jim. I call him mapmaaaaaaan!
Alison
So funny, and you and I just wander, thinking who cares where we are, I like this! 😉
Lovely photos; fun captions
Merci beaucoup mon ami! 🐕
What a lovely place to be. My brother and his wife were in Slovenia a couple of months ago. They gave glowing reports too. No dogs mentioned though! 😀
What a very small world it is! <3
Cindy!!! yo shady…… sorry about that. Anyways I don’t know if it’s more cool the dog photos or the rest, and I assume that dog is a rapper
The dogs are definitely more cool. What’s better than seeing a well loved dog and nicely trained humans! 🐕🐕
I love going with you on your travels, Cindy! 🙂
I love traveling with you! <3
I’m mesmerized by these lovely photos (Ɔ˘⌣˘) And the doggies are too сμтёღ♡ \ \▼o・ェ・o▼/ /

She’s quite the fashion forward fashionista isn’t she, and I so admire her for training her humans so well! 🐶
chuckle… she has it “real good”.
Leslie
This looks like a wonderful place to let one’s dog take you for a leisurely walk. 😉 I love the orange rooftops and the blue sea.
All the best 🐶🐶 have well trained humans!
This one’s a feast for the eyes, Cindy — thank you for letting me tag along. I love the doggies, of course, and the flowers and scenery are magnificent!!
Awww, so pleased you enjoyed & cheers to you dear Debbie~ 🐶
Lovely shots, Cindy. Our big doglover Dina is absolutely taken with your dog captures! 👌🏻
Best regards,
The Fab Four of Cley
🐶 🐶 are the ultimate international goodwill ambassadors and they speak every language!!! Tell Dina I agree with her completely about adogables~
So much fun, and so much beauty you find and show us! Thank you, Cindy!
Getting close to finishing a new Art Gown, so am blogging a bit less regularly. The doggie is gorgeous!
Excited about seeing the new gown!!!
Lovely photos, Cindy. I also tend to follow the critters! Their instinct is unmatched by humans, and I find I get into much less trouble 🙂 💕
Exactly! They are so reliable~
Beautiful, Cindy. Great place. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you more for appreciating~
There is something so appealing about the clusters of orange tiled roofs against that blue water!
Yes, I love it too. It creates a relaxing environment!
Those red roofs just beg to have their photo taken, Cindy. Love the dog shot… “You must walk your dog with a leash!” But we are, officer.” 🙂 –Curt
Laughing…..perfect! That adogable has his bipeds well trained~
🙂
I love walking with you!
We have traveled far & wide together Rebecca and I have enjoyed your company tremendously~ <3
Great to walk with you, no leash on us! Nice photos as always, Cindy 🙂
We can walk ourselves, thank you very much! 🐕
Beautiful!
Grazie mille!
Enjoy yourselves cindy. great pictures.
Cheers to you & thank you too! 🐕
That was a lovely walk. Thank you.
I am so happy you joined me.
The puppies are adorable! They really are characters.
They have their bipeds well trained! 🐕
What smart dogs they have in Slovenia 😀 Like you, I generally return home with multiple critter photo’s. I always wonder if they understand english? Perhaps I should learn “good boy” in multiple languages 😀 “Bravo ragazzo” says Boomdee as she kneels for a great long pet 😀 Koper looks fantastic! I’d love a coastal European way of life. Shopping daily for grocery, stopping to visit in an ancient square, and having these views fill your day! I could easily meld into the vista’s. Maybe a book in hand, flip-flops on my feet, heading down to the shore for the cool breeze and smells of the sea. Or perhaps in the afternoon, we’d hop onto my aqua vespa and scoot over to Italy for some “Pomeriggio caffè”…that’d be glorious! Thanks for the daydream Cindy xo K
I hear you and share your feelings! “Shopping daily for grocery…” This is the part I would most love! The produce and food is all freshly picked or made and tastes so much better than our grocery store food. The food shopping itself is so personal and creative. The other part I love are these amazing churches where you can just sit or listen to the choir practice or attend one of many free concerts. Heaven……we miss a lot of old good things in North America~

Thank ma’ dear, tis indeed! 🐕
Nice set of images as always, love the dog taking itself for a walk!
That was one happy poochini! 🐕
What fun pictures Cindy!! Liked to see your Jim navigating! My sister lived in Kosovo for 3 years and Slovenia was their favorite place to vacation. It’s high on my list of places to visit (along with Monte Negro since I saw your photos!) xox
Both are beautiful, uncrowded, unspoiled and not expensive. You will have a wonderful time exploring this region~
thanks for your previews Cindy!! xox
<3
Loving the doggies 😄

Great, beautiful walk!
So happy you joined me Kendall! 🐕
Thank you! It was great!
<3
Fabulous my friend. Just loved the dog in the pink shades, lol. 🙂 x
I think all dogs should have them! 🐕
Great idea! 🙂
Beautiful photos! Thanks for taking me to Slovenia, the country of my childhood.
Oh I am delighted to meet you, and travel to beautiful Slovenia virtually with you!
I am even more delighted to have come across your amazing blog. 🙂
My grandfather was from Bulgaria, so we are practically cousins!
Lovely shots, Cindy. The first pooch looked like Vizla?
Probably, or a ridgeback, I wasn’t sure.
LOL at the dog who is leading himself with his leash. We had a Golden Retriever who does exactly the same thing. Hehehehe!
Smart dogs walk themselves! 🐕
Gorgeous pictures and vacationing you get to do. I love dogs trying to walk themselves, my old dog would do that at the end of he walk, carry a part of her leash in her mouth. So funny.
It is hilarious and I can just see your dog going, “time for my nap!” 🐕
Pretty much, water, food, nap 🙂 A dogs life.
Don’t forget barking……..
Of course, protecting the house, no matter how small they are 🙂
Yeah, from super dangerous things like 🐿️🐿️!
If you move Jim’s map, does he move with it? “Come on Honey, the table with the wine and cheese is right over here…” -Oscar
No way!!! He would say, “I have to find where that table is on the map first!!!” 🐱🐱
The doggies are adorable and the rooflines are even more sublime! x
You are a kind hearted person and I so appreciate you! <3
<3
Always good to follow the critters! Much better guides than the average human! It’s always good to join you on your trips too ☺ You will never walk alone then!! 😉😀
They know where all the best stuff is! <3
Wonderful Photos! 😀 Best regards from Jule and there Can openers.
Love you all!
Dear Cindy,
It’s so nice to find you reading all my posts. Thank you so much. 🙂
It is my pleasure~
Your lovely shots are priceless. 🙂
You are a wonderful friend~ <3
Don’t know why it won’t allow me to follow you Cindy.
I don’t either. That’s awful. Maybe I’ve reached wp’s limit which is highly annoying,
Your photographs are awesome. 🙂
You are a lovely friend~ <3
