is all around us,

and inside us,

unique and perfectly imperfect.

Sometimes, when we are worried or troubled,

we fail to recognize,

beauty.
just waiting for us to notice,

and bring us comfort.
Cheers to you from all that is beautiful in you and around you~

Hey Cindy,
There is beauty within all the carefully crafted photographs you have taken and I enjoy them all very much, thank you. The first image in the series is my favourite. When first seen as a quick glimpse I perceived the rose incorrectly and imagined it was instead a photograph of two swans tenderly embracing or two swans photographed in a ballet of love. Perhaps I am an old romantic with a soft focus and a gentle heart, or perhaps what I saw out of the corner of my eye was all that I believe to be already blooming in the heart of a white rose?
Thank you Cindy, your post captured my attention and captivated my imagination.
Hoping all is well in all ways always. Take care.
Namaste 🙂

What an incredibly beautiful mind you have! You soul saw swans, your mind said rose. In fact it is neither. It is a single layered, fragile peony encumbered by the rain. I love everything about your comment, your thinking, and your intuitive process. Isn’t it wonderful to know that your mind in this case, was not a more accurate perceiver than your soul? I love this so much. This is how human perception works, and this is why it is so important to understand it is subjective, especially when we think it is most objective. Thank you for this. <3
Hey Cindy,
You’ve corrected me in the most charming manner possible and in the process salvaged my fragile embarrassment, thank you. I now know that a rose by any other name is called a Peony 🙂
I can’t begin to imagine where my thoughts were when I loaded your site but it would appear the delightful peony acted as a catalyst to bring those gentle thoughts to the fore. She is an exquisite flower after-all and her beauty inspires. Your photograph captures her softness, delicacy and beauty, but also the essence of her, the soul of her, and/or the sensation or feeling of her: the metaphysical reality of her. In your photograph I saw swans dancing in the folded petals of a rose…that is how I perceived her and why she held my gaze. Even when I look at the photograph now, she still lulls my heart and fools my eye 🙂
Your phrase, ‘…a peony encumbered by the rain’ – is quite adorable and I might just appropriate it as my own. You have a gentle way with words. 🙂
Thank you for conjuring spells and enchanted images. Have a wonderful afternoon.

“I now know that a rose by any other name is called a peony.”
Cracking up!!!! Now we both know. Thank you enlightening me! The next time someone begins to wax poetically saying, “A rose by any other name…”
I will quickly interject and say, “is called a peony.” 🌹
If they question me, I will say, “Just ask my friend Dewin. She knows!”
You rock!
Your thoughts are lovely and make me smile. <3
lol 😀 then we are both enlightened and have the Peony to thank for everything! Your humour is infectious Cindy and I am happily sat here smiling as well and sharing the fun of our peony-inspired musing, thank you…tis a perfect way to unwind for the evening ahead. 🙂
Dewin is a ‘he’, mostly male (I think!) with a soft and a gentle heart and a passionate muse…I think it is probably the muse who rocks…I just do what I’m told to ensure a quiet life – it’s a little like being married lol 🙂
Thank you for laughter, smiles, beauty, and the warmth of blogging friendship. Hoping your afternoon/evening will be blessed.
Take care of one and all,
Namaste <3

Thanks for that reminder, Cindy. The two-three hours I spend in my flower garden each week are the highlight of my week 🙂
Which demonstrates you are a woman who has her priorities straight. <3
Beautiful images, Cindy, and an uplifting, positive message to go with all those flowers!
We deserve it, don’t we, and we need to take time to realize it. <3
Thank you for this beautiful tour of beauty. Beauty enough to make me swoon.

You are pure beauty to me my friend and I am happy about your life change. This change feels good to me~
HI Cindy– where did you find all these flowers?? That last photo with the blossoming tree is exquisite! Are you a gardener?? Beautiful post. xox
I am a gardener and it is so fun to have the space to be creative at The Holler, but in these photos, only the roses and the moonflower are from The Holler, all the others are from the Lichtenthaler Allee in Baden Baden. It was still snowing when I was there and the flowers just boggled my mind.
Snow and flowers?! You must have caught the tail end of the snow season! We have a small yard with a few flowering plants and I was just glad it rained so much this winter and we can water more again! Love your flower photos Cindy!! Hope you have a festive 4th of July!! xox
<3 <3
Your images and words are so soothing.

Your kind words just made my <3 smile.
We take things for granted. Yes we need to stop sometimes and take a look at all the beauty in and around us. Thanks for the reminder Cindy

Thank you more for being receptive to it~ 💐
Lovely post, Cindy. It’s that time of year. I step out on my deck and I can literally smell the roses. 😀
The heavenly fragrance transports you doesn’t it! 💐
Yes! I’m clueless when it comes to rose-care, but they don’t seem to mind at all and come back year after year. 🙂
How unusual & lucky!
Beautiful captures, Cindy. The roses are divine.🌹🌹🌹

Gotta love the way a white background brings out color …. Yep, those flowers have a method for their madness.
Yes, white and black backgrounds tend to make colors pop!

What an incredibly beautiful flower!
Yes! Isn’t it amazing!
Beautiful photographs.
Might I add; There does seem to be an irrefutable persistence of eyes that are willing to behold, value and protect. Yay. 🙂
Thank goodness! Although, in the US, under the current administration, possibly less then in the UK, which is quite concerning.
We’ve had our Trump’s. It seems to be a phase of growth. Not to worry (too much), good will keeps on being born (and boatman) . 🙂
Thank God for the boatman and for goodwill!
Well put. There has to be a source. 🙂
There is, and your are in touch with it, which is why we intuitively get along.

Awww….hugs to you dear friend~
Thank you for sharing your beauty with us! It is easy not to notice beauty in the ugliness of the man made horrors that afflict us. This natural beauty offers us peace and healing in a troubled and hurting world where pain is all around us. Your own beauty shines through like the summer sun through your beautiful photos and the words you choose to accompany them, lighting up the day whenever they appear here ☺
I am humbled by your sensitivity to the sad state of our world, the suffering of far too many people, and the selfishness of some who cause so much unnecessary suffering. It is very easy to get bogged down by the depressiveness of all this, so it is important to hold onto to beauty in our hearts and minds, and do what we can to make things better. Love to you~

I am still playing catch up this week but I thought that as I close down for the night and wherever you are and whatever day you are having… these images by Cindy Knoke will bring light into your life. Stunning as always.
You bring light into my life Sally, and to that of many others, and I am grateful for you my friend~
And you bring beautiful images into ours often when we badly need to see the good things in our world.. ♥
Yes, we very much need positive imagery in these disturbing times. Thank you Sally.
Absolutely beautiful, Cindy

<3
Thank you Cindy. 🙂
Hugs to you my friend~ 🌼
Such beautiful photographs and to see the white peony was a bit confusing. I can understand why it might seem roselike! Our wild peonies are similar but very pink!
Ah, thank you my friend. And, yes, these were quite unusual to me also. I am used to peonies with more layers of petals.
So beautiful….so soft….awesome!!
Awwww, so happy you enjoyed! <3
Swept away by your lovely pictures may I use one or two on an upcoming poems? Love you my sister! God bless you and your family!
I would be so honored if you would Wendell. God Bless you and yours my dear friend~ <3
