California Scrub Jay is normally quite shy.

But winter drought seed shortages,

What great colouring, we have blue tits in our garden at home but I’ve never seen such a bright blue bird.
I think it makes him a bit self conscious, almost as if he knows he stands out among his more dun colored peers. The orioles are here now though, so he’s beginning to get his spring-color competition! 🕊️
Thank you for the like, Cindy. 🙂
This is a brilliant blue jay bird! I love how the Holler is full of exotic and beautiful sights in flora and fauna!
It’s nice to be back home with my birdies! 🕊️
Always wonderful to get back home, no matter how much fun and great times transpired while away. Like Dorothy said, “There’s no place like home,” Cindy! 🙂 <3

Beautiful photos. I can see you down on the ground snapping away. Great captures.
I am pretty much Zen’d out when I am taking photos. It’s wonderful. Hugs to you my friend.
