Goteborg is a Swedish gem.
Goteborg’s West Coast Islands are starkly stunning,
especially when tall ships sail by!
Of course there are beautiful churches.
The Swedish love flowers and they are everywhere, like here in the square, in the small, friendly, town of Nynashamn.
Nynashamn is a charming fishing town with the Church built to protect the town.
Cheers to you from soulful and scenic Sweden~
You have taken some amazing photographs of the places you’ve traveled,I love them all.
You are such a good friend Ranu! Hugz & cheers~
Schöne Fotos. LG. Wolfgang
Guten tag Wolfgang! Vielen dank!
The flower shop is beautiful.
Isn’t that artfully done! I thought so too!
Yes!!! I always like flower shops and this one is well done..
Aye matey. I love the 3-masted schooner. If you were in Stockholm I’m sure you saw the Vasa Museum. (I know, it’s not a schooner, but it was too tall.)
We were in Stockholm before but not on this trip. It is an incredible city!
You travel the world and take me with you!!! Thank you!
I particularly love having you along my friend! <3
I love the tall ship and the alcove. Any free space in your rucksack. 🙂
Yes indeed, except I am back at The Holler now watching the vultures circle the coyotes! Yippeee Tyeeee Yiiii Yoooo!!
Politics as usual then. 🙂
Yep!
Welcome to Sweden Cindy. I’m born in Gothenburg and grew up there :-).
Oh such a beautiful city, such a beautiful country!!!!
Lovely snapshots of another place we rarely see in travelogues. Looks like your weather continues to be nice. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for coming with met!
I am not sure if I mentioned it before, but you take some awesome pictures. You give me a tour from my Europe and I always smile when I see you have a new post. I always wonder “where are they now” and I can’t wait to read it. Thank you my friend…travel safe!
What a lovely comment and it just goes to show why I like blogging so much. I get to meet people like you!!! <3
Sending you a hug in my thoughts 🙂
Loved this series! Have a superb week ahead, Cindy! 🙂
And you too my friend, thank you!
Thanks much, Cindy! 🙂
Beautiful blue sky and sea! Most gorgeous photos of Sweden!
Awwwww, I so love traveling with you Amy! <3
🙂 < 3
Beautiful. All of your photos are sunny. Did you have perfect weather the entire trip?
Practically yes, but now we are back at The Holler and the drought continues with no respite, so perfection never lasts!
Nice place to visit
<3
🙂
Great shots Cindy! I’m happy you seem to have had beautiful weather much of the time. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you more for appreciating & cheers!
Thank you for this beautiful trip today.
So happy you came along!!! <3
The water in the first shot is so calm and clear.
Absolutely beautiful and Ty for sharing this beauty.
Sometimes a photo just sets it self up!! So happy you like it & cheers~
Your tours are my delight! Almost as good as tagging along after you. I love your phrases “starkly stunning” and “soulful and scenic” too. 🙂
I’m an ass for alliteration!!! 😉
Such beautiful shots. So clear.
xxx Huge Hugs xxx
Muchas gracias mi amigo!!
So serene. Beautiful photos as always.
You are very kind and most appreciated too!
Lovely! 🙂
Thanks ma deah & hope all is well!
Great pics. Love the top photo with the reflections and blue so vibrant. And the flowers are pretty and interesting type of blooms and plants.
One of the joys of travel for me is seeing all the different types of flowers that grow in different places! Thanks for noticing~
You always make my imagination come alive with your photos…they always seem to provide a deja-vu moment!
Oh how wonderful and probably those moments are significant for you!
Beautiful, Cindy. I think my favorites are the ship and the church!
You know I saw Swedes sailing in an old wooden sailing ship like this in Antarctica? It blew me away. I know they were cold!
There’s just no accounting for some people! They do say some people actually like and/or enjoy cold climates. Go figure! 😉
You always capture the beauty in everywhere you go.
Hmmm.. or is it that you are the one that brings beauty everywhere you go… 😉
I think it’s that I only post the pretty pictures. I could to a post of all the goofs, there are LOTS of those!!! 😉
It’s a treasure to travel vicariously through your beautiful photos where I can no longer hope to actually go. (And thanks for your “likes” on some of my blog poems! 🙂 )
You are a brilliant poet so the pleasure is all mine and I love having you travel with me! <3
That group of flowers is spare yet stunning. I love how they group same things together in the planters, I’m pinning to my garden board. Thanks for the inspiration Sweden and Cindy 😀
Awwww, Sweden and flowers works for me too! Hugs~
Beautiful!
Tak!
Beautiful series, beautiful places and moments Cindy 🙂
I am honored my friend! Hugs & cheers~
We go to Sweden often, but have never been to Goteborg or Nynashamn -they look lovely. Gorgeous photos as usual!
Alison
I hope you two are on the mend and planning your next foray! <3
Oh yes we are! To both! Next foray – leaving late Nov for Hawaii, Samoa, Fiji, Oz, NZ. Maybe a bit of Indonesia, not sure yet, in the process of working it out. Fun!
YAY!!! So happy and knew you would be off again soon! Can’t wait to read about your adventures. I will be home for once when you leave!
Looks like a beautiful gorgeous place to visit!! Awesome photos! Hugz Lisa and Bear
Hope your hubby is doing better?????
What a lucky sighting… a tall ship…. love all the photos of a place I will never see…
I am just so glad I posted since you enjoyed it and won’t be visiting. It’s the least I can do since I am such an admirer of your incredible posts on SA!
Hooray! I was hoping to see pictures from Sweden too. Such beauty. I definitely plan on dragging my Scandinavian guy to see his homeland sometime. Thanks for the tour of the north Cindy!
Thank you for going with me! You made the experience more fun! I look forward to reading about your experiences in Scandinavia & your guys feelings about his homeland. Should be most interesting~
soulful – the perfect adjective
Applies perfectly to you too, Russel!
I have nothing to say that hasn’t already been said: beautiful, soulful, thrilled to see Sweden, skillfully photographed, thanks so much for sharing, with I were there in body as well as spirit – WHAT a trip! So what’s LEFT on your bucket list?
xx,
mgh
That’s the funny things about bucket lists, the more places you go, the more places you learn you want to to go!!! 😉
Lovely captures of this pretty place, Cindy. The flowers are gorgeous, and I love that tall sail ship. 🙂
Pretty gorgeous places in this spinning ball we live on as you well know!
Cindy – Your photos are positively stunning.
You are very kind and most appreciated my friend! <3

One of my favorite places in the world, and you captured the space and colors perfectly. I could almost smell those flowers!

I'm drafting an email to you, as I read this!
Are you tuned in, or what?
Might take me a tad'o'time! xo
I’m here and ready to hear…….
Those images are awesome!
Awww, you are awesome! Thank you~
A big WOW to the church as we enjoy going into churches as part of our travels. Looks like you also had wonderful weather.
Yes churches are a must! Such beauty and yes gorgeous weather. Cheers to you my friend~
Beautiful photos as usual! I’ve seen so little of Norway and Sweden, even though those are among the countries I’ve had the privilege of visiting most often, because every time we go, we’re visiting with family and friends, so we never tend to leave Kristiansand (where my baby sister lives in Norway) and Stockholm (where Richard did his doctoral dissertation research). What little I’ve gotten to see is so easy to love, though. So glad you’ve shared these beautiful shots. 😀
xo,
K
Interesting isn’t it, how one doesn’t travel much when one visits for family or work. One lives, rather then tours. I have spent much more time in Norway than Sweden but all of Scandinavia is fascinating. Finland was an eye opener. All so beautiful. What lovely memories you are sharing with me. I love it! <3
Wonderful photos and so well collated and presented 🙂
Awwww, I am honored! Thank you and thank you for what you do, it is so important! <3
Stunning photos, Cindy of a lovely area. Waterfronts and churches are always winners. So much colorful history.
The traveling life is the life for….us! 🙂
Lovely photographs. I love the sailing ship.
Gorgeous aren’t they? Like stepping back in time, So happy you enjoyed~
Lovely shots as always!
And you are always very kind! Cheers & thanks~
Amazing pics Cindy!
Sweden, with all its islands, really appeals to me, Cindy. Our hols tend to be cheap and cheerful, sadly. Never mind- maybe my ship will come in 🙂
Cheap and cheerful works for me. Sweden by ferry is not pricey. I bet you’ll go!!! <3
Beautiful photos 🙂
Tak!! 🙂
Cindy, I just love Sweden. Such nice pictures. Thank you! Hugs! Veraiconica
Such a splendid place I agree with you! <3
I have a intention to visit Sweden. I heard it is a beautiful country.
It is lovely and you will be happy on many levels when you visit~
I’m sure about that.
