Goteborg is a Swedish gem.

Goteborg’s West Coast Islands are starkly stunning,

especially when tall ships sail by!

Of course there are beautiful churches.

The Swedish love flowers and they are everywhere, like here in the square, in the small, friendly, town of Nynashamn.

Nynashamn is a charming fishing town with the Church built to protect the town.
Cheers to you from soulful and scenic Sweden~

  1. Aye matey. I love the 3-masted schooner. If you were in Stockholm I’m sure you saw the Vasa Museum. (I know, it’s not a schooner, but it was too tall.)

  2. I am not sure if I mentioned it before, but you take some awesome pictures. You give me a tour from my Europe and I always smile when I see you have a new post. I always wonder “where are they now” and I can’t wait to read it. Thank you my friend…travel safe!

  3. Great pics. Love the top photo with the reflections and blue so vibrant. And the flowers are pretty and interesting type of blooms and plants.

  4. It’s a treasure to travel vicariously through your beautiful photos where I can no longer hope to actually go. (And thanks for your “likes” on some of my blog poems! 🙂 )

  5. That group of flowers is spare yet stunning. I love how they group same things together in the planters, I’m pinning to my garden board. Thanks for the inspiration Sweden and Cindy 😀

  6. Hooray! I was hoping to see pictures from Sweden too. Such beauty. I definitely plan on dragging my Scandinavian guy to see his homeland sometime. Thanks for the tour of the north Cindy!

    1. Thank you for going with me! You made the experience more fun! I look forward to reading about your experiences in Scandinavia & your guys feelings about his homeland. Should be most interesting~

  7. I have nothing to say that hasn’t already been said: beautiful, soulful, thrilled to see Sweden, skillfully photographed, thanks so much for sharing, with I were there in body as well as spirit – WHAT a trip! So what’s LEFT on your bucket list?

One of my favorite places in the world, and you captured the space and colors perfectly. I could almost smell those flowers!

  10. Beautiful photos as usual! I’ve seen so little of Norway and Sweden, even though those are among the countries I’ve had the privilege of visiting most often, because every time we go, we’re visiting with family and friends, so we never tend to leave Kristiansand (where my baby sister lives in Norway) and Stockholm (where Richard did his doctoral dissertation research). What little I’ve gotten to see is so easy to love, though. So glad you’ve shared these beautiful shots. 😀

    1. Interesting isn’t it, how one doesn’t travel much when one visits for family or work. One lives, rather then tours. I have spent much more time in Norway than Sweden but all of Scandinavia is fascinating. Finland was an eye opener. All so beautiful. What lovely memories you are sharing with me. I love it! <3
