The Aspens are showing their true colors.
And Banff National Park is holding it’s breath waiting for winter.
The air is bracing now with chill.
Its time for the bears to sleep, and Jim and I to head home to The Holler.
We must leave before snow blankets the park and avalanche threats make the roads a challenge.
These are beautiful images Cindy
So glad you like them my friend~
You’re welcome 🙂
Dear Cindy, when did you take all these photographs?
Everyday! My camera is always with me. Cheers to you~
Breathtaking my friend 🙂
You are very kind and your comments are most appreciated!
Gorgeous and vastly majestic–you must end the day completely in awe and completely spent.
And sleeping like a babe in the woods! Mil grazi~
Beautiful scenery!
I’ll drink to that! Something warm preferable to ease the chill though 😉
Tea, it’s so good for us! Pop on over……
That would be great. I love tea!
Be careful going home.
Ahhh, thanks my friend~
Beautiful pictures! Do you know the name of the trees (white trunk ones)?
I mix up birches and aspens…..I think these are birches because they are so tall, but I am not sure. Anyone else know????
Wow I could spend eternity in this area – just stunning.
Winter is coming and it will be fierce!
i am thinking it will be. we have had an easier summer and last winter was not soooo bad – i am thinking we may be due….
I sensed this sort of pause in the parks, like everyone was gearing for the onslaught of winter. Great time to visit~
Wilderness places speak to our souls and we are so lucky to still have them and that people in the past fought to preserve them. A beautiful collection of photos Cindy to treasure for ever
So eloquently stated! National Parks are so important and now our US ones are closed robbing people of fall vacations and losing needed revenues. When will we grow up?
Your government seems to be in such a mess, it is unbelievable to see it all unfolding on our news channels.
Yes, I can’t bear to watch or read it~
Trees galore. Isn’t it wonderful? 🙂
Tis indeed ma deah!
Such a beautiful place. Great photos as usual.
Thank you Alison. I was enjoying your photos and narrative about Mexico City!
I love your little world!! Just gorgeousness!!
Canada is like cheating for photographers. Everywhere you point your camera is almost un-real in beauty! Thank you~
Just beautiful. I love the sound the aspens make. Fabulous photographs.
The wind in the trees lulling you to sleep! Nothing like it~
[ Smiles ] Lovely pictures of the outdoors!
So happy you think so!
Travel safely it is wild out there!
Yes especially in airports!! lol~
🙂
You captured some wonderful color combinations.
Glorious places. I already miss them! Merci~
These are beautiful pics, I am still on the look out for the fall foliage, but this warm weather has put a stop to the changing of the leaves around here!
Maybe you will get a burst of late fall color!
Yes, the rain is here!
And we are in draught with 30-60% chance of rain Wednesday, the first in almost a year!
I love the tall first picture, and the birches. Very beautiful.
So these are birches! Taller than aspens??
How gorgeous! I’ve never seen aspens in the fall, so I really love seeing your captures! http://ohtheplaceswesee.com
I think they might be birches!! See above. Can anyone confirm~
Great close-out to the season up there, Cuz. Were those aspens quaking, or just the regular garden variety? Good thing you went to a Nat’l Park up in Canada…, they’re all closed down here. Politicians…, aren’t they just about the most disgusting example of humanity??? Bet your critters back in the holler will be glad to see you. Take care
Oh I am so frosted on this subject. Enraged that people have to miss fall vacations in our glorious national parks, park employees lose wages, and our struggling precious parks lose needed revenue. Grow up Washington and get responsible like the rest of us for once, why don’t you……
I love the raw physical beauty of our land…you did such a wonderful job of capturing that, great photos.
I love it too and I am so glad you do! Thank you~
Stunning! It must be getting cold now! What a wonderful trip.
I miss it already!
LOvely photos Cindy… time for winter to hit you and summer to visit us…
As the world turns, it is always summer somewhere! Merci-
I get the feeling that you wouldn’t mind curling up and hibernating in that cabin in the woods.
I would love it! Lucky bears~
Yes lucky bears; they can eat as much as they want and then sleep it off all winter 🙂
I remember visiting Banff oh sooo many years ago. Thanks!
I was last here when I was fourteen! That is a lifetime ago~
I know how you feel!!!!!
Simply awesome!
Very kind and appreciated~
so beautiful Cindy!
That makes my day! Merci~
This would be heaven for me with all these beautiful trees. Thanks for sharing. I’ve marked the map to be sure to visit this location.
You will be so happy when you go! Good for you~
Fantastic colors!
It is just a stunning place! Thank you~
Cindy, your titles are always as good as your photos….!
Thanks for sharing.
Awww, thank you my friend~
Beautiful photos, Cindy, just in time to put us good and solid in the mood for Fall!
YAY!! I’m glad~
I keep using the same words to express my delight.wow, beautiful, awesome…because they always apply to your photography. 😀
Truly kind and most appreciated~
Such majestic trees. They remind me of the silver birches in my country.
So these are birches? Are birches taller than aspens?
They do look similar and can grow to a similar height but they are different trees, I think.
beautiful Cindy…I love the perspective of the second photo, very special…
The trees are ethereally beautiful! Mil grazi Heather & cheers to you~
The pictures are beautiful. Fall is my favorite season.
Me three & thank you!
More stunning pictures, Cindy. Fall is one of my favourite times of year. The colours are always so beautiful.
Very kind and I feel the same about fall.It is my favorite time to visit national parks~
Gorgeous pics.
I am honored you think so~
okay..this is a stretch, but go with me on this one. To me, that penultimate photo looks like the entire Banff ranging to say goodbye, like a family embracing, and waving at your retreating car–while the final picture looks as if they are running after you, entreating you to stay…
they must know how great you represent them…the tree spirits…;)
(that is all!)
Awwww. You are so sweet and that is just beautiful imagery! I did feel embraced by the wilderness and sorry to leave. I will keep these images you painted so beautifully in my mind
and pull them out to enjoy. Thank you my friend for you kindness~
The color of the leaves of the threes kept my attention, so spectacular !
Merci beau coup Mademoiselle!
Ooh! Isn’t Autumn looking lovely! We’ve just got our first real blast of autumn cold blowing in, looks like summer really is over but I love Autumn so will make the most of it 😉
Yes autumn and spring are my faves too. Just was over at your blog. Fabulous as always my friend~
Funny you should say that…I’d just been thiniking the same about your gorgeous blog!
🙂
Glorious, Cindy! You’ll miss it 🙂
I already do!! 🙂
Wish I was there but seeing the photos is a close second!
Awww, that is so nice! I hope you visit soon~
Cindy, essas fotos são especiais pra mim. Lembra-me algo que nem eu mesma sei o que é.
Gosto de olhar para as fotos e pensar, refletir…
um abraço!
