The happy penguins of Patagonia!
The Beagle Channel is named after Darwin’s ship, the HMS Beagle. Darwin explored and mapped the entire southern tip of Patagonia.

Parque Nacional Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia Argentina. (This means “Land of Fire” and was named by Darwin. It referred to all the fires Darwin saw from his ship that were lit by the native people to keep warm.)

I would recommend adding gorgeous Patagonia to your bucket list if you like to travel.

No we didn’t, but I will tell you the fish caught in the channel and in the Drake Passage were simply divine. No pollution makes for healthy fish!

Patagonia is one of the places I’ve always wanted to visit. And I’ve always just like saying, “Tierra del Fuego.”

Just like the Patagonia clothes company, huh? LOL! We were in the southern tip of Patogonia in Argentina. You are thinking of the Chilean parts of Patagonia including the fjords, Beagle Channel and Torres Del Paine National Park. We were there several years ago and it is unbelieveably stunning also. Cindy, I like the variation here. From the very small, to the panoramic, you framed it all so invitingly. I especially like the shot of the slatted bridge mid-hike for perspective, and the poppies!! Wizard of Oz has nothing on that vibrant color! Amazing, and amazing…it’s on my bucket and PAIL list!!
