Yes Cindy they have a barrenness about them similar to our own deserts but even more barren reminding us of our great need for water. Beautifully captured my friend !
I had trouble commenting (my side) on your Mexico photos recently. Very colorful. You captured the barrenness of these badlands. Happy and safe travels wherever you are.
Yes. WP makes things unecessarily difficult which is very frustrating. I’m sorry they did this to you and would have loved to read your comment. All is well here. Cheers to you & take good care ꨄ︎
I love being alone. The older I get the more I love it. LOL Your photographs are always so beautiful and they truly spread nature’s beauty around. I’m so grateful for your posts.
I couldn’t agree with you more about aging and the peace of solitude. I think it is also a bi-product
of creativity. Creative folks like being left alone with their minds. You are a lovely person Gigi and I feel the same about your wonderful art.
You are so kind, thank you. I’m an only child and always loved being by myself so I could think and make things. I was a party girl for as long as I needed to be and have fun but then went back to being by myself. I don’t like to be interrupted. I think you’re right about creative people liking to b alone. I’m always writing stories in my head and thinking of things to make and the outside world is kind of boring compared to what’s always going on in my head. LOLOL

“Stark” beauty, indeed! You’ve shared some majestic photos of the badlands here, Cindy, though if I’m being totally honest, I much prefer a beach. Or a river. Or a lake. Something with water, ha!
I loved seeing these photos of a place I will likely never visit in person — and then I loved reading all the comments and replies they inspired. Amazing that there are plants and animals (and maybe fungi and bacteria and other forms of life, too) which have figured out ways to survive in such severe conditions!
Thank you Will. I am happy you enjoyed the desert. It never ceases to amaze me, especially in the summer when get up past 120F. So much wildlife survives here. Incredible Cheers & take good care ꨄ︎
Fantastic pictures and captions, Cindy💗We didn’t get any updates of your bloggie lately, so now we subscribed by email and hope that they will come through😸Double Pawkisses for a Happy Day🐾😽💞
So frustrating. I’m sorry on behalf of wordpress. They decommisioned my follow button but pretend they haven’t. It’s why I blog less often. Thank you for taking the time to follow by email and be well my friend ꨄ︎

Hi Gigi! Great to hear from you. Yes, the wild ones and (and certain human ones) love the solitude. Hope all is well with you my friend ꨄ︎

Birds of a feather……. I actually like not sleeping, because I’m making up stories.
I’m lost in the sands of time! Amazing shots as always, my friend! ༼♥ل͜♥༽ 🌵
Thanks so much. And I hear you. This is exactly the feeling evoked by these timeless places and one of the reasons I love them so much ꨄ︎

Hi there! Great to hear from you & happy you enjoyed ꨄ︎
I miss you too, my goal is to blog a lot more too
It’s all good. Blogging is free form. You can do it when the spirit moves you.
I always find desert pictures ‘challenging’. Never really been to the desert… (Even on a horse with no name…😉)
Laughing….. Now Neil is playing in my head! 😉
Haha. Sorry about that. It’s one of the songs I managed to “play” on the guitar half a century ago…
Take care, Cindy
It’s all good. I love Neil.
Don’t we all. I still have a couple of his LP’s from back in the days… (I’ll have to set up an antique shop one of these days…) 😉
Thankfully he’s still recording, “All Roads Lead Home.”

It’s beautiful and isolated. I enjoy looking at the pictures but to be there, I might have a panic attack: The rocks and open lands.
I doubt you would panic. You are very brave and wise ꨄ︎

Thank you very much. Be safe & well ꨄ︎
You’re welcome – thanks for following!
Your words are perfect for these images, Cindy. Yes, it is stark, but stunning and amazing. I have driven through the area and was in awe.
