The first time of anything is always scary. First time on a horse, whoa (no pun intended), that was scary though we were on ponies, not full-grown horses. I was shaky, my sister, Elizabeth, was crying. We got through that first time. While it seemed there would be no second time, there was and more.
This is where a piece from the Klingon knowledge base comes in handy (H/T: Worf). “Anyone who is not scared is either a liar, or a fool.” Being a Trekker, I know you would appreciate this.

Smiling. The chairlift is scary at first, but gets to be fun too, after awhile. They even graduated to a higher lift on a more elevated slope.

We did get to see our grands a couple of times during the holiday season – it is amazing how fast time flies! The elsest started High School! The youngest is into Field hockey. We don’t get to see all of those games though.
We might be getting some snow this week end. But we aren’t ski-or ski-boarders. I might have to bundle up to do some shoveling though! (((Hugs)))
