I also have blackbirds on my balcony. The blackbirds come to sing very early in the morning and also … eat all my raspberries.
How wonderful that they sing to you each morning. Eating all your raspberries? Not so much. Can you net the bushes? დ

I saw a Stellar Jay for the first time when we visited Yosemite a couple of years ago. They are beautiful birds.

Stellar Jays are not endangered or exotic, but they don’t live where I live, so seeing them is always a thrill for me დ

They do watch us don’t they. I even have a pair of Willie Wagtails come up on my balcony often to watch my goings on. Mind you, they must think us strange creatures 😂 And a delightful Jay Cindy, I love that blue. Thank you for sharing your people watchers kind lady 🤣❤️🙏

So often I look up into the tree top I am walking under and swear the bird is watching me. Silently and attentively. I say “hello there” and smile. Love the colours on these Cindy

Plenty of them. I see the jays fairly frequently flying around and sometimes in the garden. I see robins almost every day hiking in the nearby forest.
Oh, of course, I was thinking of Australia where you came from, not Canada where you are. Sorry. I have seen many in Canada too. Enjoy დ

I hear robins singing nearby sometimes, and Steller’s jays occasionally show up here in winter.
Maybe it is good we don’t actually know what birds are thinking! 🙂 We don’t get either Stellar Jays or Robins at The Holler so they are always a thrill for me to see დ
