Greedy Gawpers~

(click/tap to enlarge to details)

Gulp grape jelly,

gobbling a gallon in a week.

They love to guzzle,

and gape,

at the odd creature,

who gives them grape.

They don’t grumble and nicely share,

as long as there’s generous gobs of grape.

Cheers to you from the glorious, glutinous, Holler Acorn Woodpeckers~

  1. Beautiful birds. Never seen them in nature. (Or elsewhere)
(We gave our brid-feeder to our eldest daughter. It’s a success. her birds are eating a full dispenser a week. I think our birds are dumb…)

  2. The bird in the first picture is giving quite the stare! lol. Lovely photos. Please forgive my ignorance, but is there some kind of jelly in the tree trunk or is grape jelly provided for them?

      1. Thank you for answering my question! I had no idea what you were talking about. You are the generous provider of the grape jelly palm!! I’m sure the bids are so thankful and enjoying their treats.
