and he will go to great lengths to get them!
If he gets jam on his head,
he just takes a nap in the berry patch!
There are lots of nice places to snooze,
in Glacier National Park,
and no one wakes you up!
Humans like it too!
Cheers to you from Glacier’s little brown bears~
Note: I miss you & your blogs! We have no wifi now in Yellowstone, so I will touch base when I can.
Ooooh…. what a cute little thing that is… so sweet…
Isn’t he adorable! Glad you like him!
Send him over.. he has a home waiting 😀
<3
Beautiful pictures of nature and then the pictures of the bear well that is outstanding!! thanks so much for sharing these!
Thank you more for appreciating them! <3
so crazy that you got those amazing shots!!
Awwwwww!! Thank you~
Looks like a dream. 🙂
It is heavenly! Thank you~
Welcome. Enjoy 🙂
nice…i’ve heard it said that if a person gets lost to survive just watch what the critters eat…that stuff should be safe for humans too…idk how reliable that is…that water looked mean and cold…have fun
Yes, it is very true, eat what the critters eat and I love huckleberries anyway! 😉
not many bad berries…though i will stay away from pokeberries
will do!
Awesome place, enjoy your off time!
Awwww, thank you!
Fantastically beautiful photos. I’m sure you were told to wear bear bells to warn bears you were in the area, and to carry pepper spray just in case? And I’m sure you also learned how to tell the difference between black bear crap and grizzly bear crap, since you probably learned the answer to the age old question “Do bears crap in the woods?” is that’s about all they do. We’ll you probably also learned that while black bear bear crap has lots of seeds from eating berries, grizzly bear crap often has bells and smells like pepper.
hehehehehehe!!! This is the best one yet! Thank you for cracking me up! 🙂 🙂
I couldn’t resist!
🙂
Ha! That’s a good one.
Sweet shots Cindy!
Mil grazi!
I really loved this post…such a cute little guy. N.
So happy you like the boo bears!
Breathtaking. As always…
You are very kind!
Boo bear takes his nap in the berry patch, that is so becoming of him. Nice job Cindy! 🙂
Thank you Ranu & cheers to you!
Thanks for sharing these awesome pics and of course the notes with them make me smile 🙂 You go to the most beautiful places.
Awwww, you just made my heart smile!
😀 YAY for heart smiling!
<3 🙂
I know better than to get near bears but your photos make me want to hug this big lug! He has such a classic bear look to him…such a handsome fellow!
He does look adorable doesn’t he! We have to settle with teddy bears to hug though!
Yeah, I value my life…LOL! 😀
<3
I’ve long to see and photograph bears in the wild ~ and to do so in Glacier must have been a sight to see. Great series of shots, and the landscape there is something else. Take care!
Thanks Randall. The most concentrated brown bear experience we have had is in the Knight Inlet on Vancouver Island and we are going back next year, that said, we have seen bears every day in Glacier. Sounds like an upcomming trip for you~
As for my future trip, yes I immediately thought the same 🙂 Onto Glacier ~
They are so beautiful animals. No wonder they ended up being the kids favorite cuddle buddy.
Yes, it makes perfect sense doesn’t it!
So very beautiful post and adorable bear Cindy 😀
So happy you see bears as I do!
Oh my gosh Cindy – how absolutely glorious on so many different levels! 🙂
Awwww, makes me beary happy!
You take such wonderful animal photos!
Makes me very happy that you think so! <3
Just not the wild without a curious bear eh 🙂 awesome shots!
Gotta have my bears! <3
Beautiful photos as usual Cindy. That bear is pure magic.
Alison
They are just the amost amazing creatures to watch in the wild. They seem so smart. Are you in Turkey now? I saw that on your blog. Can’t wait to hear about it!
Yes, we’re in the last week of 5 weeks in Turkey, but of course the blog is as usual 4 months behind lol. Next few posts will be about Australia’s Top End. On Sept 30 we go to Jordan, and Egypt after that. Loving Turkey!
Sounds incredible! Can’t wait for the posts. Be safe~
Omigosh, I would imagine that Glacier National Park officials will be contacting you to do their publicity shots. Gorgeous! 😀
Ooooooh, that would be a fun assignment! <3
So beautiful!
The wonders of mother earth!
Great set!
Mil grazi!
Look how cute he is!!! 😍❤️
Just like a teddy bear…with claws! 😉
Exactly!
Oh yes, getting those berries is no easy task! I can personally attest to that. That picture of him with jam on his head is so sweet! Perhaps he’s taking some to go!
Love the beautiful spaciousness out there! Have a wonderful time Cindy! ~Lynn
He’s a bear berry eating machine! 😉 Hugs to you Lynn~
Hahaha! Bear berry eating machine… I love that!
They have to eat such vast amounts of berries, it’s a wonder there is any time for napping.
It’s just a question of getting their priorities straight, first berries, all you can eat, then nap until you can move! ;
Wow. Cindy, I say that a lot about your blog. Your photos are extraordinary. You really take us there. Thank you. ☺
Ahhhhh, your kindness is much appreciated!
How fortunate to be able to see this pristine landscape and another of our national treasures. Enjoy every moment.
It is a truly amazing place, especially in the fall~
Let me say something about Boo Bear’s relatives… their breath really smells foul! Having one snort in my face, with only the fabric of a tent between us, I can provide expert testimony. Imagine the putrid aroma of a rotting fish, and you might get an idea of how bad it was!
Eat more berries, Boo, more berries!
Lovely post!
hehehehe, yes I have had them circling my tent for much of the night before, I never opened the flap so I never smelled bear breath…… laughing!
The river picture and boat dock, etc. all are familiar places to me we went to, also. Those berried the bear eats are ones we have also on shrubs on our mountain property, and I think are OK for humans, too. I’ve tasted them and they are good, but we leave them too for the black bears that come around when we are not up there. Great pics, again, Cindy. Safe traveling back to the Hollar. 🙂
You and I are traversing the same ground Joyce and your home sounds magical. If there are bears, I love it! <3
If the bear is lucky he will have a friend come and clean the top of his head. Personality wise he’d get along with my cat. She sticks her head in the food bowl and refuses to move as I’m trying to put the food in — she doesn’t care if the gravy is dripping down her head or not. 😀 Are there lots of bears so that it is easy to spot them or are you the bear whisperer and they come to you?
There really are a lot of bears in Glacier and Waterton. We saw them every day. I think your cat sounds very wise. After he finishes eating, he can spend hours trying to lick the gravy off his head! 😉
Beautiful capture of the lake and the mountain ridges. Love those. The bear pictures are a bit concern of the big bear coming running toward you 🙂
Thank you my friend, no worries about the bear, he likes berries more than me! Smart bear~ 😉
Wow that’s beautiful… Did you offerThe bear a pic-a-nic basket. I hear they like those a lot…
Reminds me of Yogi Bear in Jellystone Park!!! 😉
Exactly!
Did you see any of Bullwinkle’s relatives?
Yes, we saw his sister and her son, Bulltwinkle! Photos soon……
Glorious photos of both the bears and the scenery Cindy. Nature at its best.
Incredible nature and creatures. Such a thrill to see them alive and not stuffed on someone’s wall!
A beautiful framed photo is so much better than a stuffed head, and you have plenty of amazing photos to “blow up” instead of shooting the real animal
Couldn’t possibly agree more!
Beautiful photographs!
Thank you my friend and cheers to you!
You’re welcome!! Stay safe.
What a great playground, and home for the bears! I like the stream running down the centre of one of the pictures. There must be much stories around it with each animal that visit:-)
It would be so incredible to have a little cabin in a place like that. I would make a good hermit, as long as I had wifi! 😉
Yes, Wifi 🙂 please.
🙂
So wonderful. Love the pictures. The bear is beautiful.
Marvelous creatures aren’t they!
Great photos – he doesn’t look so small to me! We saw some awesome Kodiak bears in Denali – humongous golden brown bundles of fur eating berries like crazy, to pack on some fat for winter .
I saw those golden beauties in Denali, chowing down on grass. Bears are mostly herbevoirs. Love em!
What incredible landscapes! GNP looks beyond beautiful!
It is so spectacular, especially in the fall with all the colors and less tourists!
I bet it is gorgeous and fewer tourists is always a good thing! 😉
How beautiful and love the baby bear eating the berries. We have a large black berry patch out back in the woods and the bears have been spotted out there a lot and the rangers have put up warnings, and finally closed that section of the woods.
Oh I wish we still had bear at The Holler. The largest grizzly in the US was shot at the Holler in the 1890’s. Now there are no more in California~
He looks so cute, I’m sure he is big in size. You must be very close to the bear. Gorgeous scenery, Cindy! Thank you for thinking of us while you are traveling. 🙂
Thank you more for joining and supporting me Amy, you make the travel more enjoyable! <3
I can see that you’re still bearing up under the stress of all that beauty, Cuz….. 🙂
I guess a bear is a bear however cute it looks😨
And the pictures of the glacier valley are breath taking ☺
And Boo bear is not going to be any less rude than his relatives 😢
Sorry to all bear lovers but I have a bear phobia ever since i saw a scary bear video on YouTube 😨😢
Phobia’s are no fun and you are allowed to be scared of bears. They are not for everyone, so I am impressed you commented so nicely and honestly. Thank you~ <3
But my young girl is full of oohs and awws at the bear. She simply adores them 😀
Heavenly nature! And you have managed to photograph a corner of paradise.
Truly spectacular scenery in Glacier and Waterton. When are you going to Rothenberg et al?
Beautiful place….I wish i couled be there! There are some bears in my area, but i have never seen them….
BTW, I’ve hust visited your Goodreads page and enjoy reading your book reviews!
Thank you so much for sharing♡
Thank you very much for make us to travel virtually with you despite the inconveniences, that’s the best gesture ☺
People like you make blogging a joy! Thank you my friend for such a thoughtful comment.
You’re welcome ☺
I’m for Boo Bear’s berries!
Huckleberries!!!! I bought two jars of jam and I am still trying to lose the 3 pounds I gained from huckleberry pie, a la mode! :
It was the a la mode!
Really incredible those shots of the Bears!
He’s a looker isn’t he! A fuzzy wuzzy bear!
Fuzzy fuzzy indeed. 🙂
lovely boo bear…just wanna hug it…but avoid da claws, o course
Yes, hugging and claws don’t go so well together! 😉
Reblogged this on Art, animals, and the earth.
Awwwww, gratitude for your advocacy! Thank you~
Unbearably peaceful Grizzly
He was just adorable.
Great bear. Little bear :bear: have fun. 🙂
He was pretty hilarious to watch. He can eat and he can snooze with the best of them. Smart bear!
I’ve tried doing both at the same time. It’s really messy. :=D
Enchanting….as always! ✿ヾ╲(。◕‿◕。)╱✿
As are your comments which I look forward too! <3
_へ__(‾◡◝ )>
einmalige Fotos und eine wunderbare Landschaft. Danke Cindy…
Sie sind sehr nachdenklich Ernst! Vielen Dank und Beifall zu Ihnen!
Your photos are amazing. Don’t worry about being out of contact through lack of WiFi, just keep clicking the pics.
Awwww, so thoughtful! Thank you and cheers to you! <3
WOW
He’s a cutey isn’t he! Cheers to you my friend~ <3
I visited Yellowstone as a young child with my parents and 3 siblings. I remember the bear’s claws in the back window my brother had rolled down!!! My mom’s head was so close to those long “nails” (is that what they are called).
Yes, I remember those days in Yellowstone too, when bears were everywhere and people fed them wonder bread from their cars! Crazy!
I’m sure we were not feeding them – Mike just rolled down his window part way and the next thing we knew there was a claw trying to come through – I still have vivid memories of that moment some 55 years later!!!
You beautiful post makes me reflect on the lives of both, bears and humans. Thank you for your amazing photography!
Awwww, I am preaching to the choir with you my friend, but thank you for such a thougtful comment!
Fantastic photos Cindy. Such astounding beauty I the landscape!
Thank you. It is just unbelieveably beautiful country, especially in the fall!
Another awesome post.Cindy
Beautiful countryside…beautiful bear 🙂
So pleased you enjoyed and cheers to you!
How wonderful to be born a bear and have that landscape as your protected playground. Such a healthy, happy, and relaxed little bear.
Isn’t it wonderful to see him in a national park and know no one can hunt him!! <3
What beautiful scenery, Cindy — thanks for bringing it to life for us! Love the baby bear, too — the jam on its head somehow makes it seem almost human, ha!
I had huckleberry jam all over me so I can relate!!! That stuff is GOOD! 😉
These are incredible. Thanks!
Thank you more for the kind appreciation!
Estamos visitando Madrid, Barcelona , Valencia , Mallorca, Cartagena . Voy a buscar estas montanas. Me encanta Espaan y mi querido amiga!

What gorgeous photos – I want to be a bear in my next life. Hibernating, salmon, berries, honey – what’s not to like?
It sounds idyllic to me too, as long as you live in a national park where you can’t get shot!
I would love to live among that beauty…as long as the bears share their berries 😉 As always, wonderful pictures, Cindy!!
I don’t think bears are berry good at sharing berries! 😉 🙂
LOL Then they should be piggies 🙂
<3
Those bears are so very cute! Thank you for sharing the awesome photos with us Cindy! Hugz to you, Lisa and Bear
I bet Bear loves Boo! 😉
Awesome photographs of the bear – something so very special about the quietness of nature and seeing what’s around you. Wonderful Cindy!
So pleased you feel and see this too Mary! <3
Reblogged this on Random Ramblings; Myriad Musings and commented:
Some beautiful photographs on a Thursday, courtesy of Cindy – enjoy!
So thoughtful of you! Thank you and very pleased you enjoy our wild bears! <3
What is there not to love! Berries and gorgeous vistas! Beautiful shots, Cindy.
Glad you enjoyed, spent some time yesterday with a big male grizzly in Yellowstone, so I am getting very beary!!! 😉
The reflection in that last photo!! Brilliant! All the pictures were beautifully brightly shot. Loved them Cindy. (Happy rest from wifi!! We’re up to our family Big Bear Cabin for he weekend and will only have phones– it’s a nice break, sitting around with real books!)
I love Big Bear and can picture you there. I hear it is warm over there right now. We are currently in Yellowstone and seeing lots of wildlife, grizzlies, trumpeter swans, buffalo, and elk and it is warm! Thank you for you very kind comments and enjoy the mountains!
Cindy– you’re so kind to write back. Happy travels!
just beautiful…:-)
I am honored! Thank you~
Spectacular photos. Thanks for bringing me along!
Thank you more for coming along! <3
Bears are so majestic
They are wonderful aren’t they. We saw another grizzly yesterday!
Absolutely stunning Cindy.
I am honored you think so! Thank you~
So that’s what Boo Boo Bear looks like. Was Yogi there too?
He was, and so were some of his brothers and cousins! Lots of beary beautiful bears!
I love this so so so much
Yay!!! Makes me happy that you love our beary nice bears!<3
Exquisite, as always. A dear friend of mine now lives in the mountains of New Jersey. She’s tired of the bears eating everything from her fruit trees plus everything else. I had to laugh when she told me about mama bear staying higher in the tree while the cubs were on her deck gathering apples from over-hanging limbs.
You have to watch this. This New Jersey mom is my new hero. I love how she calms the kids and I love the kids reactions. Priceless!
Priceless.
Aww..the bear looks so adorable…<3 ..you've amazing powers with your camera…. 🙂
Awwwww thank you, he was such a cutey, I am glad I was able to capture this.
I am so envious. Thank you for taking me there even if i never actually get on the ground.
I am so glad you appreciate our bear populations because they are threatened and I hope you can see some in the wild soon. You will fall in love! <3
Reblogged this on Oyia Brown.
So thougtful of you and so very appreciated! Thank you~
Ahhh– lovely glacier park. So many beautiful memories. Thanks for sharing.
It is such a spectacular place isn’t it, and right about now it is getting very c-o-l-d! Still I would love to be there!
I call my eldest grand daughter boo-bear. She doesn’t look anything like this one!
Laughing, no I am certain she doesn’t, but I can understand the nickname, Boo-Bear is adorable! Hugs to you Sheri~ <3
Im loving these posts!! Gorgeous images!
So happy you enjoyed them & cheers to you~

Hugs and Happy Sunday Veraiconica! <3
WOW – The clarity of that water on the last photo – & – the reflection!!!
Nothing better than clean mountain water! Thank you my friend and be well~
Omg that little bear was so cute!! What beautiful pics, that river!! We luv bears and this one was absolutely adorable!! Great pics Cindy sharing them now. 😉 xoxo
I think maybe we can place people into two categories, just for fun, bear lovers, and,……..everyone else. Of course you are in the first catergory! <3 <3
Such pretty pics and I love the bear!
Well good because I love bear lovers!!!!
LOL! Well, that makes me a lucky guy! 🙂
🙂
Stunning vista’s Cindy and enchanting visit with Boo. Your photo’s bring out the gentleness in nature and while I wouldn’t get too close, it’s nice your super duper camera can. Thanks for taking us to the berry patch x K
Yes, sony zoom brings you Boo Bear!!! Although Boo Bear did walk right by us, he was solely focused on the berries. I was so shocked by his arrival, that I fumbled most of the photos!
Beautiful photos! I tweeted this post 🙂
You are the sweetest tweeter! Thank you~ <3
Those landscape pictures are just too good 🙂
So pleased you like them!
no worries 🙂
