The flutters rest their silken wings,
drawn by the sweetly fragrant flowers.
The flowers beckon,
so the flutters fly.
And the garden sings,
with the joy of spring!
Cheers to you from the flutters & flowers~
These are all so colorfully gorgeous. That first one is breathtaking, though Cindy. Wow. Just wow. You should make a calendar or publish these in a photo book or something.
Well I am honored, and I also must sincerely say that I am so completely impressed with the soul and intelligence behind your series on the impact of WWII on Japanese people, both in Japan and the US. I see this series as an important book. So the respect is very mutual. Thank you~
Yes, I have definitely noticed this. Not so much the camera making things more beautiful than they are, but rather enabling us to see aspects of things we cannot see with our weak eyes. Macros are a good example because they are magnified and allow us to see details we cannot normally see~
Laughing! These butterflies are only here for a month a year in an Aviary at the Wild Animal Park. Besides, I know you live in paradise. You travel the world!!!!
These photos are absolutely fabulous! So colorful. I love the Iris. .. need to id that one, worth having in the garden. I would love to be a house guest of yours. . So many beautiful things in your hood. 😃
Your photos are amazing, gorgeous, awesome! But how do you get the butterflies to pose for you? I must be doing something wrong because I always catch half a wing 🙂

Cindy, thank you for these incredible beautiful pictures, would like to share them with my readers. Hugs! Veraiconica
Cindy, I mean it. Your flowers are breathtaking. I used to grow beared Irises (we’ve had this conversation already) and to see yours, I really miss mine. The Food of the Gods, or Goddesses as some would say. Perfect captures. 🙂 xx And you are so welcome, mon ami!
OK, I’m starting to get the hang of this thing now, at least confident enough to try to start using it !
There was one pic where it was hard to tell the flutter from the flower. How did you coax all three of them to pose on the same flower for you…??? ..using that charm you use on the hummers?
Beautiful pics, Cindy.
Those iris flowers are gorgeous but take a ‘back seat’ to the beauty of the butterflies! This makes me feel more like Spring, than anything else I have seen today on other’s blogs! Absolutely beautiful ‘captures’ and thanks for sharing the photos with us, Cindy!
What a beautiful symphony of colors, textures, and winged flutterlings!
Awww, very happy you enjoyed it!
A feast for the eyes, Cindy.
Love the shiny blue wing butterfly. It looks like a jewel. These are also colorful irises. They almost candy like. Lovely!
Loved your photos today too! Very creative~
awesome

Oh Cindy! It’s -10C and has just snowed where I am! Thank you so much for this shot of spring!
Eeeeks! Is that normal! That sounds soooo cold for April. I hope it warms up for you tomorrow!!!!!
Toronto weather is forecast to plunge from +20 to -1 by Tuesday.
Then up to +10 here by Saturday!
It’s not unprecedented, but it’s not normal.
You capture the most amazing sights! wow! :O
Very happy you enjoyed it!
Beautiful!
For you, anything!
Uhmmmm. Ahhhhhh. More of Iris and her Golden Wings and Rainbows. 🙂
Yep, what more can one ask of life!!!!
“What more can one ask of life!!!” …. well …. That wasn’t a question, was it? XXX
Nope! Laughing~
You amaze me by your ability to capture these beautiful, yet elusive, creatures. Lovely.
Well visa versa x 2 to U! Your photos are simply stunning~
Superb, as usual, Cindy! 🙂
You see why blogging is so much fun? I have such awesome blogging friends, like you!
Another great set of WOW images … but there is something about the second one that really caught my attention.
I am so glad you love the Bearded Iris. I just love the blend of colors~
I think it was the blended colors that struck me.
Where on Earth did you go for these lovely shots? A butterfly sanctuary?
Yes! The San Diego Wild Animal Park has a Butterfuly Aviary every April for just a month. 2000 butterflies! Total nirvana~
You did it again. Breathtaking…
So happy you think so! Keeps me clickin~
Great! Keep clicking…
Beautiful! Irises do smell sweet! These are beautiful photos! 😀

Pretty amazing aren’t they! Lots of them I had only seen in books~
oooh, I love it …. I am buried in fungi and you have all the butterflies and flowers!
Laughing. Fungi is beautiful in it’s own way!
Sometimes the camera makes something more beautiful than the real thing.
Yes, I have definitely noticed this. Not so much the camera making things more beautiful than they are, but rather enabling us to see aspects of things we cannot see with our weak eyes. Macros are a good example because they are magnified and allow us to see details we cannot normally see~

Beautiful pics, Cindy.
They are well trained! Laughing. Actually there were 2000 butterflies in the aviary, so they often went for the same flowers! Cheers to you cuz~

So nice to see the butterflies. Ours will return in a few weeks.
Their return is always a reason to be happy and be outside!
Am interested with the butterflies’ conversation. 😀
Yes! Science has identified that plants now communicate through chemical messages. I would imagine butterflies do too!
You could shoot flowers for Organic Garden!
How nice! Thank you & happy weekend~
