Today was an alpine day as we climbed past the timberline to the Martial Glacier. First we had to past through The Haunted Twisted Lenga Forest. Take a peek:
Next we had to cross some flimsy plank bridges…….
Then we had the view to the Beagle Channel far below.
And we joined the ant people climbing to the Glacier. Look for the tiny ant people climbing, it will give you perception of the mountains and their immensity.
Very nice pictures of trees.
Merci beaucoup!!!
oh! oh! oh! This is so wonderful. Those trees! the climb! (not crazy about the flimsy bridges 🙂 ). I was going to ask you if you were alone on the climb, but you answered that with the ant people!
Yes the forest was sinister and intruguing at the same time! Made for good photos!
Not a state-of-the-art bridge, but blends in with the surroundings (I hope it is safe). The comment above, ‘ant people’ is a cute expression! 😀 ))) Fae.
Thank you Fae! Today we are off to spend the day with penguins. Will get to the island by zodiac, total transport to island 3 hours!
Those trees look like something out of a science fiction movie, Cindy. Really great pics. Did you climb all the way to the glacier in the distance?
Paul
No way. We are wimps. We made it to the foot of the Glacier!!!!
The twisted forest looks like it could have been on “Snow white and the Huntsman”, they had a creepy forest on there also. Beautiful
Chris, yes that would be a perfect setting! I could see Snow White running and tripping to escape through this forest. Great imagination you have!!!!!
The Beagle Channel photo is my favorite. Great colors and so much depth! Thanks for the great post!
Thank you for the kind appreciation!!! Today off to spend the day with penguins on their island!!!
Beautiful place!!! Nice shots!!!

Hi Sydney. Yes the trees do look quite sinister!! Can you imagine trying to get through them at night!!!! Scary! Today is penguin day and we are off to walk amongst thousands of them, so penguins next and they are NOT scary!!!! Cheers to you Sydney!
I love the view. How lucky you are to be in such paradise! The trees look scary especially at night.
At night?? REALLY terrifying!
Oh, but my curiosity wants to find it out 🙂
Very curious indeed!!
wow what an amazing place Cindy, that forest looks creepy and something out of a horror movie, imagine getting lost in there!! 🙂
It was like a sci-fi flick, but REAL!!!! Would make a great scarey movie, imagine someone trying to run from a pursurer in the twisted forest!!!
frightening!!! stuff of nightmares! 😉
Sinister yet beautiful!
I love the name “Tierra Del Fuego” it just conjures up end of world images then you put in those spooky trees they so perfectly fit the image I have of Patagonia. Those little ant people really give the photo a sense of perspective
Yes, land of fire, end of the world, here be demons amidst the twisted trees! Like a Grimm fairy tale!!!!
What a fantastic journey you are having. So pleased you are sharing it with the blogosphere
Very kind of you and much appreciated!

Yyyyeah, I could kinda see at first why they call it a haunted forrest, but it is really beautiful. Such vast magnitude of space and awesome scenery — one can hardly take it all in! Great photos, Cindy!
Actually I called it the haunted, twisted forest. Hope this won´t offend Argentinians!!!!
Lol, I hadn’t thought of that!
Reblogged this on Mrs. City Boy and commented:
