    1. Thank you Margaret. You are well on your way to exploring very many fascinating corners of our small and beautiful world, and the good news is, there are always more corners to explore. Merry Christmas.

        1. Beautiful photos and such a great post for Christmas!! I find Prague other worldly. Thank you, Cindy, for your wonderful photographs and commentary all year round. Merry Christmas!!! ❣️🎅 🎄 ❤️ 🙏🏽

  1. Hi Cindy, I’m sorry not to have been very active this year, but I have continued to enjoy your lovely posts from behind the scenes. This one is just as gorgeous! Wishing you a wonderful festive season and every happiness in 2023. X

    1. They are stunning! Thank you for Sharing. The UK has such incredibly beautiful cathedrals. I don’t have as many photos of them as I should because I traveled extensively in the UK when I was younger and wasn’t taking digital photos. Now when I visit I take photos of different places in The Uk that I have never seen. One of my most favorite photo prints from those days is of Coventry Cathedral which I found profoundly moving and beautiful.

  3. This is the one time of the year when many of us from all over the world are united in our quest for peace and goodwill. One day it will last longer than a few days. Happy holidays to you, Cindy.

  4. These are all very beautiful Cindy. When you look at them, let alone be inside, they give such a peaceful energy. You can feel the love that went into them. Thank you for your love and blessings dear lady, and I thank you for sharing your beauty all year. Marry Christmas to you and yours, may that spirit within ever be shared 😀❤️🙏🏽🦋🎅🏽🦌🕊🎄🎁⛄️

    1. Your incredibly thougthful words have touched my heart Mark. You do feel the love and the awe inside these amazing cathedrals. Thank you Mark and Blessings of The Season to you.

  5. Undescribably beautiful, Cuz !

The Arctic Bomb is on its way
    With cold,wet, heavy snow
It’s to be here at least 3 days
With bitter cyclone wind to blow.
We’ll trying to go to Chicago.
    More later

  6. Merry christmas to you too. Das hast Du gut gesagt: unsere zerbrechliche Welt, die es zu erhalten gilt, so weit es möglich geht. Alles Gute und weiterhin so großartige Fotos.

    1. Gorgeous, so much variety on a topic helps make it more special!

The one from Santorini gave me a pause, as well. It looked like a painting, I had to examine it closely to convince myself it was “real”…

Merriment all through the holiday season to you and yours!

  7. Dear Cindy,
It’s so kind of you to share all the beautiful shots you have taken on your travels to various countries. Merry Christmas to you too and a very prosperous New Year. 🙂

  8. Vicki

What a beautiful array of churches and very interesting to see the various styles of decoration.
Hope you have a enjoyable festive season with a happy and healthy New Year to follow. Vicki x 🙂

  9. Cindy, May this Christmas find you and all your loved ones in good health, good spirits and prosperity in the coming year.
I have only seen Strasburg and Barcelona’s cathedrals. I have been to Austria, Hungary, and Greece but missed their cathedrals.
Thanks for posting them. The one in Italy appears to have Arabic overtones (like some of the mosques in Spain) that have been converted back to Christian churches.
Please take care of yourself. I would hate to miss your posts.
    With deepest respect and admiration,
    Wally

    1. So observant of you Wally. The Church of St. John the Babtist is very old and was built in the 13th and 14th Centuries. I definitely see The Moorish influence as you do, and as I have seen especially clearly in churches in Portugal and Spain. Thank you sincerely Wally for your kind thoughts and wishes. It is so lovely to hear from you. I wish you Health, Happiness and A Blessed Holiday Season my friend. Stay safe & well დდ

  10. What beautiful photos around the world, we can truly create… I wonder why we build such dreadful homes for the majority to live in! AND we put up with it! Wishing you a wonderful Christmas and May 2023 bring you to many beauty’s of the world❤️ much love x

    1. Yes! Such a good observation and question. Why are we capable of such exquisite beauty and yet settle for so much that is mundane? Thank you Barbara & All The Joys of The Season to you! დ

    1. Yes. It is incredible, especially now when the world is so divided. It feels wonderful to come together in shared celebration. All The Joys of The Season to you Marlene and Wishes for A Happy & Healthy New Year დ

    1. I will kiss Herbert for you. He is afraid of his Christmas toy! A spinning butterfly. He hides under the table and the basset hounds haven’t even arrived yet! Merry Christmas to you and all your beautiful fosters! დ

  11. Absolutely breath-taking architecture. God truly blessed and inspired the creators of these masterful works.
Wishing you and your loved ones a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

  12. I pray that you will receive love and joy this Christmas season and the New Year. Thank you for your kind support throughout this year and I am looking forward to see you next year.

  13. Hi Cindy! Season’s Greetings 💗 Your photos are always beautiful. I’ve been to a couple of them here. The first thing that always comes to mind is, “wow, you really couldn’t build anything like this today”. The artisans no long exist and the labour would surely be cost prohibitive. It’s the proverbial, “they don’t make ’em like they used to”.

  14. My comment went into cyberspace? Wishing you and yours a Happy, Healthy and Peaceful New Year! Thank you for all your wonderful photography!
