Climbing Joshua~

Look and spot the climber.

Here he is close up.

Spot this climber,

resting on the top.

Here she is, getting ready to come down.

This guy at the top is waiting for his climbing friends (do you see them),

to come up.

He climbs barefoot.

Here are all three without zoom. There is a fourth person at the bottom that you many be able to spot.

Cheers to you from the Joshua Tree National Park climbers~

    1. Good for him. It is the ultimate Zen, in the moment, activity. You can’t be worrying much about that meeting on Monday, when you aren’t sure how you are going to get up, or down, a rock face დ

      1. I lost my confidence in heights years ago on the Leaning Tower of Pisa. I couldn’t climb the last 10 feet up metal rungs to reach the bells. I froze – and since then I can’t take heights! At least I lost it on a famous building!

        1. Understood. That must have been intense. I remember climbing the tower. It was disconcerting with the tilt. It would be even worse if there were people behind you. I remember feeling claustrophobic climbing an old tower in the UK, so I empathize with you Bruce დ

  2. I admire them so much. I never made it further than hiking, and even though some of the mountains I climbed, it does not even come close. A dangerous sport but so rewarding. Great pictures. Thank you Cindy (I hope I didn’t offend you in any form or way)

    1. You have never offended me. What made you think this? You are a wonderful friend and I sincerely admire you. I admire climbers too. Mostly because of their mental discipline and mastery of fear. დ

  3. Oh my, Cindy. These are fabulous images! The rocks against the blue sky are gorgeous. Having just been there this past spring, I know this spot and was captivated by the climbers. 🙂

    1. Thank you Terri. They are halfway between very big boulders and mountains! SoCal’s very ancient earthquake faults tossed them synchronistically into perfect piles like this 😉 😉

    1. You will have a fabulous time. Channel Islands National Park is incredible and there is so much to see. You should see dolphin and whales, maybe even blue whales on the ride out and hopefully the Channel Island foxes will make an entrance. They are adorable. I saw a booby on my last trip so be ready for wonderful surprises დ
