Sequoia are one of my favorite trees – if I had my way, not another one would be cut. <3

Is it Sequoia as in a national park or Sequoia as in a tree. Beautiful pics
Actually it is neither. It is Sequoia National Forest which surrounds the park, but is less crowded. There are many Sequoia groves in the forest as well as the National Park. I like the National Park best in winter if the road is open as it is magical and uncrowded.
A place to put on the bucket list
Oh, good. You will be glad you added this gorgeous place. Try and visit in the shoulder or off seasons to have the place to yourself. It is a much better experience.

These are beautiful late autumn photos, Cindy. Winter came early where I am this year, already!
We got four feet of snow in the local mountains and hiked in it today. More is expected Wednesday. Unheard of, but so good as we really need it 🌲

Third time around, Cindy. This post reminds me that we are part of nature – that we belong to this earth, to the soil and rock that sustains our steps. Gravity! I was reading an article about the need to find a way to bring gravity to space. When we are in zero-G, our muscles atrophy quickly, we are no longer able to maintain our posture and we can lose up to up to 20 % of our calves and leg muscles. Earth is our home, BUT we are curious creatures and our need to explore will continue…who knows. It’s a new decade approaching. I’m delighted that we are entering 2020 together.
Interesting. I remember Scott Kelly had trouble walking after he returned to earth after 340 days on the international space station. Sounds like ‘Occupy Mars’ still has some details to hash out. It puzzles me that some people may actually think we can leave this planet if we ruin it irretrievably. I also look forward to sharing 2020 with you Rebecca. Another year with my great blogging friend. I wonder how many it’s been!
I think we started the same month so we have spent the last decade together – another one is waiting for our arrival. Hugs and more hugs.

Yes, I am sure it is different, which keeps things interesting. The Sierras can get very intense winters with huge amounts of snow which is good for skiing and it can get very cold too. Happy Holidays Alexander.
Fall is the best time to visit most forests. The colors and animal activity is tremendous.

Yes, especially in the National Forest in non-touristy magnets. If you want no crowds in the National Park, wait till winter and you will experience the sequoias in the snow by yourself.
One day it is 55 F and then it goes to 25 F and back up to 40 F hard to know how to dress!
Yes. The same changes here as well…..
