Woo Hoo!
I made a friend in Rarotonga named Emma from the island of Atiu, and she helped me find a hotspot that worked, albeit, it was quite a challenge.
Thank you Emma & Kia Orana!
Raro has amazing pristine beaches,
coral reefs,
and empty, jungle-covered volcanic mountains to explore.
Our son is exploring with us, and tomorrow we head to the more remote island of Aitutaki.
Cheers to you from the unspoiled & ethereal Cook Islands~
Damn that looks incredible. And that is me saying while being in Mexico 😀
Yes, Mexico is incredible too! I <3 Mexico~
Oh wow … now you have me longing to be there!
<3
Breathtaking shots, Cindy. I so want to be there right now! I’m still stuck in the cold gray of NE Ohio. 😁
I wish I could beam you over now!
Gorgeous water and weather! Enjoy!
Thank you! These are beautiful islands with beautiful people~
Gorgeous sights! You have found a perfect getaway place!
It’s a bit of trek to get here from the US. There is only one flight a week and it takes 12 hours non-stop.
Yea, I wondered about that. But its isolation only adds to the attraction – and I assume lack of crowds!
Exactly.
Beautiful photos Cindy!
Thank you!
Your son is handsome and it’s a treat to see him. The wave photo is truly amazing, as are the others. Thank you…so beautiful.
Hugs to you sweet friend & kia orana! <3
So very beautiful! Pleased to hear the beaches are pristine.
I hear there are some challenges in Muri Lagoon, but we have seen only azure seas. Thinking of you all the time I travel here <3
So beautiful!! 🙂
Whakawhetai koe!
What a glorious wave you caught. I hope it takes all your troubles away.
I wish waves could do that! <3
I’m going to look at some waves today, too. I think I’ll come back more zen. 🙂
Let me know how it works…….
Nearly there. Oh, wait, time to go home. 😉
Home is were the <3 is!
Wow! I’ve never, ever seen such clear water!
It is what we came so see! Thank God there are still some places left like this on earth.
Amen to that!
<3
Apart from your superb captures, I have only seen plastic littered oceans lately. 🙁
Most of the ocean is still gorgeous, but the plastic that is accumulating is truly horrible. I have spent so much time on the oceans of the world, but haven’t seen the plastic. It tends to cluster in these huge gyro areas which I have avoided. It is just a tragedy and such human folly…..
Impressive photos. This place looks so inviting. You and your family are really exploring some really cool places !
We are trying hard!!!! Cheers to you my friend~
Looks magnificent and so unspoiled.
Yes indeed!
It looks wonderful, Cindy.
It is & cheers to you! <3
Beautiful surroundings, Cindy 😀
The Cooks are indeed beautiful!
Enjoy! This looks like a fantastic trip!
Kia Orana!
You have caught that wave beautifully!
Thank you. The waves on the fringing reef are gorgeous!

Thanks Annika. He is having an awesome time & cheers to you my friend <3
Amazing images! It looks an incredibly gorgeous place
So happy you enjoyed & thank you. It is like a fairytale tropical island!
What fantastic beaches and such beautiful aqua blue sea.
That crashing wave shot is making me very envious of your holiday destination.
If I lived in NZ, I would come here regularly, which lots of New Zealander’s do! It is quite a trek from the US though…….
Beautiful pictures!😊 The pictures of the wave is speechless, very good capture!😊
I am honored! Thank you & cheers too~

Ahhhh, so kind and so appreciated too <3
Looks like Paradise, Cindy! Enjoy your travels and soak up some of that warm sunshine for those of us still reeling from this unusually cold Spring!
Yes I have read about the inclement cold. Stay warm and dry and grateful there are no mosquitos. Even paradise has it’s flaws!
Cindy, this looks like a real paradise. So beautiful and unspoilt. The colours of the water and sand. Well, everything really.
Are you sure you will be able to go back home.😊.
Thanks for sharing with us, we can dream.
miriam
The good thing about dreaming is that dreams can be pure perfection, while real life never can be….
It looks absolutely beautiful!
The Cooks are exactly that! Cheers to you~
Gorgeous photos, Cindy. I could smell the clean air and feel the sand between my toes ❤
It is good to come here inr your mind, and the benefist are myriad, there are no mosquitos, or any other of the realities of reality. Hugs to you Tina, and love & prayers too~

So kind & so appreciated. Cheers to you <3
Oh my …. R&R of dreams meets reality! 😀
I hope you do visit here someday. It’s paradise without all the crowds.
Lovely blue skies and nearly every thing around has blue hue too!
It’s blue heaven here <3
Glad you’re enjoying the Cooks. Don and I spent a week there a few years ago and loved it.

Bisous Bernard
Merci beaucoup mon ami Bernard!

Look out for a submarine (yellow) 🙂
They do not need that here. But they would certainly know the music,

Awwww, Kia Orana Amy!
What a gorgeous paradise, Cindy! It looks wonderful there. And it’s great that your son joined you too. It sounds like finding good wifi is a real challenge!
There is a funny sign here that says, “No wifi. Had to hang out with my family…..found out they are really nice people!”
Love it!!!
Funny!!
<3 <3
Incredible series of photos Cindy, and I hope your son gets you up kite-surfing soon ~ think of the photos you can get from such a perspective 🙂

Wow looks awesome!
Wonderful to hear from you & cheers to you from The Cooks!
Breathtaking! There’s almost too much to take in.💖
It is an amazing little island <3
It really is. One of the things I really like about blogging is I’m constantly learning. Your photos along with your colorful captions really bring them alive. And of course it gave me something to Google!
Wow stunning!
A beautiful speck in the middle of a very big sea!
Yes!!!
<3
I Googled the Cook Islands. They look magnificent. There are 15 islands with Rarotonga being the largest. I wonder how long it would take by plane from New York. The site said 6 hours. It has to take much longer to reach the South Pacific. I need to do more research.
The only flights from the US are from LAX and it takes over ten hours. All other flights go through Auckland or Tahiti or Fiji. Some Europeans fly to LAX, and then to the Cooks. The Cooks are not easy to get too, unless you live in New Zealand, but this is why they are wonderful. From NY you would have to fly to LAX, take the overnight flight to The Cooks which I think only goes once a week, Here is a link for you that may help:

Awesome.
I can easily see you too here <3

A Place I Want To Visit
Hugs to you sweet friend and I hope you do visit and post about it. Kia Orana from The Cooks! <3
What a gorgeous place!!
Yes. The island that time forgot. Wonderful <3
Lovely! Another place I dream of visiting (along with the French Polynesian islands) when the ‘time’ is forgotten… 🙂
Islands of forgotten time are some of the best vacation spots in the world. I am glad you will visit and look forward to hearing your impressions~
What a heavenly paradise! The beaches are stunning. How I wish I could lay on the shoreline of one of those immaculate beaches. Thank you for sharing and taking me on yet another incredible journey with you, Cindy. 💙
You are most welcome and I sincerely wish I could beam you over there right now <3
