Orphan photo’s 🙂 Every photographer has them. It’s a good idea to put them together and let them have fun. (Actually it IS a very good idea. I steal this one from you Cindy, if you don’t mind 🙂 ) I like the Corfu pier picture a lot.

Yes it is from a house that Gaudi built for a very rich man. It definitely had many Japanese influences including these windows.
I think you have a gold theme going on here, Cindy. Even the pier has those gold colored moorings. 🙂 The Museum of London elevator is amazing! And the Gaudi houses are always fascinating.

The top one is like M.C. Escher in color (what a rarity that would be!). The 4th one looks like someone scattered flower petals on that painting and, as a former art teacher used to say, “Pops out right at you.” – my favorite! 🙂

Each of your foundling photos could be the inspiration for a different Weekly Photo Challenge. A simple word or two for each -stairway, bas relief, mask, path, rooflines, intersect or grid, and pier. I know they would challenge me. Nice!

The mask shop is something between a dream and a nightmare… 😀 I think I could spend a few hours there!… And I absolutely love Gaudi 🙂 I almost expect some of his work to pick up its foundations and start walking – or rather, dancing… 😉 Or start reciting a fairy tale…

Gaudi was so unique and so unbridled in his creativity. He put all these unmatched, juxtaposed colors and shapes together, and created some of the most original, innovative architecture and design that I have ever seen. He was not afraid of color! And I love him for it~
