Above the Clouds~

Looking down upon a hurrying world,

above the clouds,

offers detachment,

perspective,

and peace.

World’s away,

and above it all.

Cheers to you from peaceful heights and prayers to those in Irma’s path~

  1. Until I find a way to make a digital rubber stamp that says, “Great photos, Cindy!,” I will just have to type, “Great photos, Cindy!” I appreciate your endurance of oxygen deprivation to do all that work for me, but remember that you also left behind its carbon monoxide variant.

  2. I lived in CA for 25 years in the LA area and never got down to see that! I sure did miss something special. Or you just make it look awe inspiring. I would feel quite peaceful there myself. Right now I’m keeping good thoughts for those in harms way. Being above the clouds seems just about right at this moment. Have a wonderfilled week ahead.

    1. The thing I notice is that there is incredible beauty even in the most ordinary of places. I love it on the mountain, the only problem is there aren’t as many critters as at The Holler! Be well my friend~

  3. Breathtaking pics and apt description for each pic!!! I loved ‘and peace’ and ‘and above it all’!!! Thanks for sharing!! And stay safe from Irma!!!

  4. What a fantastic diversity of views you have presented here…one for every mood (and each mood containing wonder and happiness). Brilliant post Cindy, there are views of this world that truly make me take in a deep breathe and fall in love with life all over again 🙂 Cheers to a great weekend.

    1. Good eye! It is an old generator built by a small dam. It actually has two stories, since rotted away, with closing cupboards inside and windows. It was built to see if electricity could be generated which it could not.

  6. Above the clouds! That must have been a good hike. I love that everything looks so green. When I’ve been to California, usually after the heat of summer has disappeared, everything is brown and dry in the hills. The hubby and I are arriving in CA Oct 1, will be visiting Alys and enjoy a trip to Carmel too. xo B

    1. That is such a pretty part of the state. Head a bit south of Carmel into the northern part of Big Sur if you feel like it. The part that wasn’t damaged by the winter storms. This is some of the most beautiful coastline in the west. We will be near you as the crow flies when you visit, but on the other side of The Sierra Nevadas, in the Eastern Sierras. Wish I could meet up with you. We could go critter searching!
