We are in Florida preparing to cross the Atlantic enroute to Europe and then on to a self driving safari in South Africa.

I thought you’d like to see some amazing flora & fauna we saw in Florida!
DSC03933
Pretty amazing critters!

We will be subject to intermittent and dicey internet for the next two weeks while at sea,

so it will be impossible to follow your blogs.
DSC03875
I will check in when I can and try to fire off a pic or two of events enroute.

Uploading and editing are impossible,

    1. We hit land in the Azores in eight days, then Rotterdam, Debrugge, and Southampton. Then we fly to J’berg, get our rental sport ut and drive through Kruger for 10 days, fly back and stay around a week in the UK. Thank you for inquiring and be well my friend~

    1. The first land we hit is the Azores in eight days, than Rotterdam, Debrugge Belgium, Cork Ireland, Southhamptom for a day, and then we get off the ship and fly on our own to South Africa to pick up our rental sport UV for a two week self drive staying in national park camps in Kruger National Park. Our second and most adventurous trip. Then we fly back for some r&r in the UK for a week and then hi ho hi ho, it’s back to The Holler we go!

    2. Oh so sorry this answer was put it in the wrong response place and I can’t remove it due to time constraints with the satellite. Thank you for your kind wishes Gill! <3

  1. You either have amazing luck or a fantastic camera — I see most of these in my back yard, but most of my photos end up being of leaves or flowers wafting in the draft of departing wings.

  2. Have a lovely trip Cindy! The photos of the butterflies on the red and pink flowers are beautiful. These pictures remind me to look closer at all the wonderful things in the world.

      1. OBOY!! What a treat!
A big cat tops my list, be it Lion, Tiger or Leopard (Male or female, or cubs)
Back up choice is the Gazelle!
I can hardly wait to see what I might get!
        Have the best time, ever!

  3. Gorgeous photos! My son was trying to ID some of those butterflies until we saw that you were at Butterfly World (where they have non-natives as well). LOL! We’ve not been there since 2001.

  4. Spectacular photos of birds, plants and butterflies. I particularly like the bird with the long leaf in his beak! Just gorgeous Cindy. I do hope you have an interesting and safe voyage/ holiday.

  5. Those are beautiful, were you at Butterfly World? We were playing with dragonflies this morning also. My brother had one in his hand. I was just writing a post about them. Have fun in Africa.

    1. Yes we were and we were blow away by Butterfly World! So impressive. But, smart girl, the dragonfly was on our balcony and the parrots filling the palm trees. Florida is awesome! 🙂

  6. Exquisite and beautiful shots! 🌺😃😎 I am excited for you on this marvelous journey you’re about to embark and looking forward to your trip photos and journal when you are able to log back in! 😀 Be safe friend and have fun!!! 😃😎👜📷🔆🚙⛵️🌅

  7. It’s so difficult to pick my favorite, but there is really something to the photo of the little bird looking right at the camera… Oh and the one holding a leaf! So adorable! These are all gorgeous pictures.

I wish you a pleasant journey Cindy and look forward to having you as a tour guide once again! 🙂

  8. Great pics, as usual, Cuz. On your journey, as you go through County Cork, you will be in the home of my ancestors. The castle was in Ballintuber, just outside Cork, and one was, in the 1600s, the Lord Mayor of Cork, one a baron, and knight of the queen. Enough of this drivel. When you get to Africa, be safe. The animals on 4 legs are predictable. It’s the ones on 2 legs I worry about. Have a great trip and come back safe to us. Bon Voyage, and a Big Hug. 🙂

  9. Absolutely beautiful and brilliant pictures Cindy, if that is the quality of your photographic efforts, then your followers are in for a treat with your travels.
    Kind regards
    Emu

  10. Beautiful Cindy. And a self-driving tour in Africa. I am jealous. It was a long time ago when I wandered through East Africa on a self driving tour… in a VW bug. 🙂

      1. Oh how wonderful — I adore this sharing community, it is truly priceless. Eliza, eh? I’m not sure if I know of her blog! Perhaps I do, but I’m not remembering it correctly. That ALWAYS happens. 🙂

  11. Nice to see that you’re enjoying our Florida sunshine! Beautiful photos as always! Can’t believe you’re just a few hours away. Your trip sounds fantastic and I can’t wait to follow along! Have a beautiful time! 😀 <3

  12. Gorgeous captures Cindy – wishing you safe travels and wonderful adventures as you traverse each continent – until you blog again! Joanne🍸

  13. Wow, what an adventure you are going on. I’m excited for you. These pictures are beautiful. I look forward to seeing the amazing things you photograph on your trip.

  14. Deseo que disfrute de su travesía atlántica. Espero con ilusión las maravillosas imágenes que, sin duda, nos regalará, como las preciosas fotos de este post que desbordan amor por la naturaleza. <3

    1. It will be our second time self driving in Kruger, but this time we are driving much further north so we are quite excited. There will be no wi fi in the park, but once we leave the park there will be some~

  15. Magnificent butterflies, blossoms and birds, dear Cindy! I particularly like the huge eyespots on the wings of the butterfy in the first photo and the rare beauty of the birds!Hope you enjoy your Africa travel, can’t wait to see your photos.Take care 🙂

  16. Hello, Hello! I am so occupied to get my blog functioning that I am late to everything. Finally, I got it to descent place. Lot more of tweaking, which I will work on a little each day.
Bon Voyage! my friend. Looking forward to your exotic photos!

    1. Wonderful Fae! I look forward to being on land and able you puruse your gifted efforts my friend. We are now in the middle of The Wide Sargasso Sea and there is a big thunder and lightening storm. Life is beautiful! Be well dear Fae~ <3 <3

    1. Parts will be hard to follow like now in the middle of the Sargasso Sea where signals are hard to find, and in the Kruger bush where we will not be in any place luxe enough to have wifi. But I am comitted to trying to get some pics out as I go because it is so wonderful to be able to share with people like you! This time we will be in the Azores (Portugal) in about five more days, then Rotterdam for the tulips, Debrugge for Knoke, County Cork, Southampton, and then Johannesberg, followed by Kruger National Park for two weeks self driving from national park camp to camp as far north as Olifants, then back to the UK for a week of rest! So happy you are virtually coming along! It makes it all more fun~

  17. Fantastic photos as always Cindy Looking forward to hopping in your virtual suitcase again. So you are cruising? Have you been on a cruise before? I look forward to your comments

    1. Yes, have cruised before. Am 700 nautical miles for the coast of northern Africa now. Will be at the Azores in 2 days, first land in a week. Satelite wifi is horrible and will be worse in Africa, but I will endeavor to post when possible. Be well Pauline!

      1. That sounds so exotic Cindy. I gave up on wifi on the boat so slow and unreliable and expensive. It is good to be back home and wired up again to our good connection. It will be a photographers heaven over there, looking forward to following you.

  18. Such fragile works of art. The variety and intricate designs of nature are always show stoppers. (And your subjects seemed so cooperative about posing elegantly)
Enjoy your adventures! We can’t wait to see what you find.

  19. You don’t stay still long! We are hardly settled after two week in Italy. So much to revisit & organize. I have one page left to complete for each of the photo-albums, but hardly a minute with the computer to do so. Enjoy your travels. I’ll be checking in now & then.
    Oscar

  20. Hi dear friend, due to a busy week, wasn’t able to check your blog for the last few days. With a lot of expectations I came to your space today and I must admit, you never fail to amaze. The world looks so much more beautiful when seen through your eyes! I can watch these images again and again forever. Thank you for sharing these. Have a lovely journey ahead and keep spreading the beauty 🙂

  21. Wow! What an awesome vacation you’re having! What an adventure. Loved the Florida pictures and I can’t wait to see what you capture in Europe and south Africa. Have fun and be safe! 😀 xx
